Galatians 6
1 My friends, if someone is led astray by sin, you who are spiritual should bring them back with a gentle spirit. Watch out that you don't get tempted too.
Brüder, wenn einmal ein Mensch übereilt wird von einem Fehler, so bringet ihn als Geistesmänner zurecht mit dem Geiste der Sanftmut; und siehe du nur auf dich selbst, daß du nicht ebenfalls versucht werdest.
2 Carry each other's burdens, for in this way you fulfill the law of Christ.
Traget einer des andern Last, und erfüllet so das Gesetz des Christus.
3 Those who think they're really something—when they're actually nothing—only fool themselves.
Wenn einer meint, er sei etwas, da er doch nichts ist, so täuscht er sich selbst.
4 Carefully examine your actions. Then you can be satisfied with yourself, without comparing yourself to anyone else.
jeder prüfe sein eigenes Thun; dann wird er seinen Ruhm für sich behalten, und den andern damit in Ruhe lassen;
5 We have to take responsibility for ourselves.
denn es wird jeder seine eigene Last zu tragen haben.
6 Those that are taught the Word should treat their teachers well, sharing with them all good things.
Wer im Worte Unterricht erhält, der soll mit seinem Lehrer nach allen Seiten Gütergemeinschaft halten.
7 Don't be fooled, God can't be treated with contempt: whatever you sow, that's what you reap.
Lasset euch nicht irre machen; Gott läßt sich nicht spotten. Was der Mensch sät, wird er auch ernten:
8 If you sow according to your sinful human nature, from that nature you'll reap self-destruction. But if you sow according to the Spirit, from the Spirit you'll reap eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
wer auf sein Fleisch sät, wird vom Fleisch Verderben ernten; wer aber auf den Geist sät, der wird vom Geiste ewiges Leben ernten. (aiōnios g166)
9 Let's never tire of doing good, for we'll reap a harvest at the proper time, if we don't give up.
Lasset uns das rechte thun und nicht müde werden; zu seiner Zeit werden wir ernten, wenn wir nicht nachlassen.
10 So while we have time, let's do good to everyone—especially to those who belong to the family of faith.
Es ist uns eine Zeit gesteckt, da wollen wir schaffen, was gut ist, gegen alle, am meisten aber gegen die Glaubensgenossen.
11 Notice how big the letters are, now that I'm writing with my own hand!
Sehet, mit was für großen Buchstaben ich eigenhändig schreibe.
12 Those people who only want to make a good impression are forcing you to be circumcised just so they won't be persecuted for the cross of Christ.
Diejenigen, die da möchten im Fleische wohl angesehen sein, nötigen euch zur Beschneidung, nur damit sie nicht durch das Kreuz Christus Verfolgung leiden.
13 Even those who are circumcised don't keep the law, but they want to have you circumcised so that they can boast about you and claim you as their followers.
Auch die sich beschneiden lassen, halten das Gesetz für sich nicht; aber euch wollen sie zur Beschneidung bringen, um sich eures Fleisches zu rühmen.
14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through this cross, the world has been crucified to me, and I've been crucified as far as the world is concerned.
Mir aber soll es nicht bekommen, mich zu rühmen, außer allein des Kreuzes unseres Herrn Jesus Christus, durch den mir die Welt gekreuzigt ist und ich der Welt.
15 Circumcision or uncircumcision doesn't matter—what matters is that we're created brand new!
Denn weder Beschneidung ist etwas noch ihr Gegenteil etwas, sondern neue Schöpfung gilt es.
16 Peace and mercy to all who follow this principle, and to the Israel of God!
Und welche nach dieser Regel wandeln, Friede über sie und Erbarmen, und über den Israel Gottes.
17 Please, don't anyone trouble me anymore, because I carry on my body the scars of Jesus.
Niemand mache mir fernerhin Umstände. Ich trage die Malzeichen Jesus an meinem Leibe.
18 My brothers and sisters, may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
Die Gnade unseres Herrn Jesus Christus mit eurem Geiste, Brüder. Amen.
