< Colossians 3 >

1 So if you've been brought back to life with Christ, look for what comes from above, where Christ is, sitting at God's right hand.
Nga bwe mwazuukirira awamu ne Kristo, munoonyenga ebintu ebiri mu ggulu, Kristo gy’atudde ku mukono ogwa ddyo ogwa Katonda.
2 Fix your mind on what's above, not what's here on earth.
Mulowoozenga ku ebyo ebiri mu ggulu, so si ebiri ku nsi,
3 You died, and your life is kept safe with Christ in God.
kubanga mwafa era n’obulamu bwammwe bukwekeddwa mu Kristo mu Katonda.
4 When Christ—your life—is revealed, then you will also share in his visible glory.
Kristo atuwa obulamu, bw’alirabisibwa, nammwe ne mulyoka mulabisibwa wamu naye mu kitiibwa.
5 So kill your worldly nature—sexual sin, immorality, lust, evil desires, greedily wanting to have more—this is the worship of idols.
Noolwekyo temufugibwa bikolwa byammwe eby’omubiri, byonna mubitte. Gamba nga: obwenzi, n’obutali bulongoofu, n’obukaba, n’okwegomba okw’ensonyi, n’okuyaayaana; kye kimu n’okusinza bakatonda abalala.
6 Because of such things, those who disobey experience God's judgment.
Kubanga obusungu bwa Katonda bubuubuukira ku baana ab’obujeemu abakola ebintu ebyo,
7 At one time you lived like that when you behaved in such a way,
ate nga nammwe edda mwe mwatambuliranga, bwe mwabikolanga.
8 but now you should get rid of such things as anger, rage, wickedness, abuse, and using obscenities.
Naye kaakano mweyambulemu ebintu ebyo byonna; obusungu, n’ekiruyi, n’ettima, n’okuvvoola, n’okunyumya emboozi ey’ensonyi.
9 Don't lie to each other, since you've discarded your old self and what you used to do,
Temulimbagananga kubanga mweyambulako omuntu ow’edda n’ebikolwa bye,
10 and put on your new self that is always being made more like your Creator, understanding better who he really is.
ne mwambazibwa omuntu omuggya, nga mufuulibwa abaggya mu kifaananyi ky’oyo eyamutonda, ate ne mu kweyongera okumutegeera.
11 In this new situation there's no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, foreigner, barbarian, slave or free, for Christ is everything, and he lives in all of us.
Olwo tewaba kwawulamu, Muyonaani na Muyudaaya, eyakomolebwa n’ataakomolebwa, Omunnaggwanga, n’Omusukusi, omuddu n’ow’eddembe, wabula Kristo ye byonna, era abeera mu ffe ffenna.
12 Since you are God's special people, holy and dearly loved, adopt a sympathetic nature that is kind, humble, gentle, and patient.
Ng’abalonde ba Katonda abatukuvu era abaagalwa, mwambalenga omwoyo ogusaasira, n’ekisa, n’obuwombeefu, n’obuteefu, n’obugumiikiriza.
13 Be patient with one another, forgive others among you if you have grievances against one another. Just as the Lord forgave you, you should do the same.
Bwe wabangawo omuntu yenna alina ensonga ku munne, muzibiikirizaganenga, era musonyiwaganenga. Nga Mukama waffe bwe yabasonyiwa era nammwe musonyiwaganenga.
14 Above all, love one another, which is the perfect bond that will hold you together.
Okwagala kwe kusinga ebintu ebirala byonna, kubanga kwe kunyweza ebintu byonna.
15 May the peace of Christ direct your thinking, because you were called to this by God who makes you one, and thank God for it!
N’emirembe gya Kristo gifugenga emitima gyammwe, kubanga emirembe egyo gye mwayitirwa mu mubiri ogumu; era mwebazenga.
16 Let Christ's message fully live in you. In every wise way teach and instruct one another through psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing praises to God in gratitude and sincerity.
Ekigambo kya Kristo mu bugagga bwakyo kibeerenga mu mmwe, mu magezi gonna nga muyigirizagananga era nga mubuuliragananga mwekka na mwekka mu Zabbuli, ne mu nnyimba, ne mu biyiiye eby’omwoyo nga muyimbira Katonda nga mujjudde ekisa mu mitima gyammwe.
17 Whatever you do, whether in word or action, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, praising God the Father through him.
Na buli kye munaakolanga mu kigambo oba mu kikolwa, byonna mubikolenga mu linnya lya Mukama waffe Yesu nga muyita mu ye okwebaza Katonda Kitaffe.
18 You married women, respect your husbands appropriately in the Lord.
Abakazi, muwulirenga babbammwe kubanga ekyo kye kituufu mu Mukama waffe.
19 You married men, love your wives and don't treat them badly.
Nammwe abaami mwagalenga bakyala bammwe era mubakwasenga kisa so si bukambwe.
20 You children, always do what your parents tell you because this is what pleases the Lord.
Abaana, muwulirenga bazadde bammwe mu bintu byonna kubanga ekyo ky’ekisanyusa Katonda.
21 You fathers, don't make your children mad, so they won't feel like giving up.
Nammwe bakitaabwe temunyiizanga baana bammwe baleme okuddirira mu mwoyo.
22 Those of you who are servants, do everything your human masters tell you, not with just an eye to please them, but honestly and sincerely, respecting the Lord.
Abaddu, muwulirenga bakama bammwe ab’omu nsi mu bintu byonna, si kubasanyusa lwa kubanga babalaba, naye mubagonderenga n’omutima ogutaliimu bukuusa, nga mutya Mukama waffe.
23 Do whatever you do really well, as if you're doing it for God, and not for people,
Buli kye mukola mukikole ng’abakolera Mukama waffe so si abantu,
24 because you know that the Lord will give you your reward—an inheritance! You're serving Christ the Lord!
nga mumanyi nga mulifuna empeera yammwe ey’omugabo gwammwe okuva eri Mukama waffe. Muweerezenga Mukama Kristo;
25 Whoever does what's wrong will be paid back for the wrong they've done, and God has no favorites.
kubanga ayonoona, alisasulwa olw’ebikolwa bye, so tewaliba kusosola mu bantu.
