Psalms 113

1 Praise the Lord, ye children: praise ye the name of the Lord.

Alleluia! Louez, serviteurs de Yahweh, louez le nom de Yahweh,

2 Blessed be the name of the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.

Que le nom de Yahweh soit béni, dès maintenant et à jamais!

3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is worthy of praise.

Du lever du soleil jusqu'à son couchant, loué soit le nom de Yahweh!

4 The Lord is high above all nations; and his glory above the heavens.

Yahweh est élevé au-dessus de toutes les nations, sa gloire est au-dessus des cieux.

5 Who is as the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high:

Qui est semblable à Yahweh, notre Dieu? Il siège dans les hauteurs,

6 And looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?

et il regarde en bas, dans les cieux et sur la terre.

7 Raising up the needy from the earth, and lifting up the poor out of the dunghill:

Il relève le malheureux de la poussière, il retire le pauvre du fumier,

8 That he may place him with princes, with the princes of his people.

pour les faire asseoir avec les princes, avec les princes de son peuple.

9 Who maketh a barren woman to dwell in a house, the joyful mother of children.

Il donne une demeure à la stérile de la maison, il en fait une mère joyeuse au milieu de ses enfants. Alleluia!
