Psalms 141
1 A Psalm of David. Jehovah, I have called upon thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I call unto thee.
Gospod, k tebi kličem, pohiti k meni; pazljivo prisluhni mojemu glasu, ko kličem k tebi.
2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening oblation.
Naj bo moja molitev postavljena pred teboj kakor kadilo in dvigovanje mojih rok kakor večerno žrtvovanje.
3 Set a watch, O Jehovah, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
Postavi stražo, oh Gospod, pred moja usta; čuvaj vrata mojih ustnic.
4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise deeds of wickedness with men that are workers of iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.
Mojega srca ne nagni h kakršnikoli zli stvari, da izvajam dela z ljudmi, ki počnejo krivičnost; in naj ne jem od njihovih slaščic.
5 Let the righteous smite me, it is kindness; and let him reprove me, it is an excellent oil which my head shall not refuse: for yet my prayer also is [for them] in their calamities.
Naj me pravični udari, to bo prijaznost in naj me graja; to bo odlično olje, ki ne bo zlomilo moje glave, ker bo vendar v njihovih katastrofah tudi moja molitev.
6 When their judges are thrown down from the rocks, they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.
Kadar so njihovi sodniki premagani na kamnitih krajih, bodo slišali moje besede, kajti prijetne so.
7 Our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol, as when one cutteth and cleaveth [wood] upon the earth. (Sheol h7585)
Naše kosti so razkropljene ob ustih groba, kakor kadar nekdo seka in cepi les na zemlji. (Sheol h7585)
8 For unto thee, Jehovah, Lord, are mine eyes; in thee do I trust: leave not my soul destitute.
Toda moje oči so k tebi, oh Bog, Gospod; v tebi je moje trdno upanje, moje duše ne pusti zapuščene.
9 Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity.
Varuj me pred zankami, ki so jih položili zame in [pred] pastmi delavcev krivičnosti.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal pass over.
Naj zlobni padejo v svoje lastne mreže, medtem ko jaz istočasno pobegnem.
