< Proverbs 11 >

1 A deceitful scale is an abomination with the Lord, and a fair weighing is his will.
Bimekelo kilo ya lokuta ezali lokola makambo ya nkele na miso ya Yawe, kasi kilo ya sembo ezali elengi na miso na Ye.
2 Wherever arrogance may be, there too is insult. But wherever humility is, there too is wisdom.
Tango lolendo eyaka, soni mpe eyaka, kasi bwanya ezali elongo na bato oyo bamikitisaka.
3 The simplicity of the just shall direct them, and the rebellion of the perverse will devastate them.
Boyengebene ya bato ya sembo etambolisaka bango, kasi mayele mabe ya bato oyo batambolaka na boyengebene te ebebisaka bango.
4 Wealth will not profit in the day of vengeance. But justice shall liberate from death.
Bomengo ekolongisa ata moke te na mokolo ya kanda ya Nzambe, kasi bosembo ekangolaka na kufa.
5 The justice of the simple shall direct his way. And the impious will fall in his impiety.
Bosembo ya moto oyo atambolaka alima ekomisaka nzela na ye sembo, kasi moto mabe akokweya mpo na mabe na ye moko.
6 The justice of the upright shall free them. And the iniquitous will be seized by their own treachery.
Bosembo ya bato oyo batambolaka alima ekangolaka bango, kasi bato oyo batambolaka na boyengebene te bakweyaka na motambo ya baposa na bango.
7 When the impious man is dead, there will no longer be any hope. And the expectation of the anxious will perish.
Soki moto mabe akufi, elikya na ye mpe ekufi; boye, elikya nyonso oyo etiami na bomengo na ye mpe ekufi.
8 The just one is freed from anguish. And the impious one will be handed over instead of him.
Moto ya sembo akokangolama na pasi, mpe moto mabe akomona pasi na esika ya moto ya sembo.
9 The pretender deceives his friend by mouth. But the just shall be freed by knowledge.
Moto ya mbindo abebisaka moninga na ye na maloba ya monoko na ye, kasi boyebi ekokangola bato ya sembo.
10 In the good of the just, the city shall exult. And in the perdition of the impious, there shall be praise.
Tango bato ya sembo bapambolamaka, engumba esepelaka; mpe tango moto mabe akufaka, bato bagangaka na esengo.
11 By the blessing of the just, the city shall be exalted. And by the mouth of the impious, it will be subverted.
Engumba etongamaka na nzela ya mapamboli ya bato ya sembo, kasi ebebisamaka na nzela ya monoko ya bato mabe.
12 Whoever despises his friend is destitute in heart. But the prudent man will remain silent.
Moto oyo atiolaka moninga na ye azangi mayele, kasi moto ya mayele avandaka kimia.
13 Whoever walks dishonestly reveals secrets. But whoever is of a faithful soul conceals what is confided by a friend.
Moto oyo aswanaka abimisaka basekele, kasi moto oyo azali na molimo ya sembo abombaka basekele.
14 Where there is no governor, the people shall fall. But where there is much counsel, well-being shall be.
Mpo na kozanga koyeba kokamba, ekolo ekokweya; kasi lobiko ezali kati na motango ebele ya bapesi toli.
15 He will be afflicted with evil, who provides a guarantee for an outsider. But whoever is wary of traps shall be secure.
Moto oyo abetaka tolo mpo na kondima baniongo ya mopaya akomona solo pasi, kasi moto oyo aboyaka kozwa bikateli akozala na kimia.
16 A gracious woman shall discover glory. And the robust will have wealth.
Mwasi ya malamu azwaka lokumu, mpe bato ya makasi bazwaka bomengo.
17 A merciful man benefits his own soul. But whoever is cruel casts out even his close relatives.
Moto oyo asalelaka bato bolamu amisalelaka nde bolamu, kasi moto na kanza amimonisaka pasi.
18 The impious does work with inconstancy. But for the sower of justice, there is the reward of faithfulness.
Moto mabe asalaka mosala na lokuta, kasi moto oyo alonaka na bosembo akozwa lifuti ya malonga.
19 Clemency prepares life. And the pursuit of evils prepares death.
Lokola bosembo ememaka na bomoi, moto oyo alandaka nzela ya mabe alandaka nde nzela ya kufa.
20 A depraved heart is abominable to the Lord. And his will is with those who walk in simplicity.
Bato ya kilikili bazalaka nkele na miso ya Yawe, kasi bato oyo bazangi pamela basepelisaka Ye.
21 Hand in hand, the evil shall not be innocent. But the offspring of the just shall be saved.
Moto mabe akosambisama solo, kasi bakitani ya bayengebene bakokangolama.
22 A beautiful and senseless woman is like a gold ring in the snout of a swine.
Mwasi ya kitoko, kasi azangi mayele, azali lokola lopete ya wolo na zolo ya ngulu.
23 The desire of the just is entirely good. The anticipation of the impious is fury.
Baposa ya moto ya sembo esukaka kaka malamu, nzokande elikya ya moto mabe ezelaka kaka kanda ya Nzambe.
24 Some distribute their own goods, and they become wealthier. Others seize what is not their own, and they are always in need.
Moto oyo akabaka na motema malamu azwaka mingi koleka, mpe moto oyo abombaka kaka akomaka mobola.
25 The soul that blesses shall be made fat. And whoever inebriates will likewise be inebriated himself.
Moto oyo akabaka akokoma na bomengo; mpe moto oyo apesaka bato mosusu mayi, ye mpe bakopesa ye mayi.
26 Whoever hides away grain shall be cursed among the people. But a blessing is upon the head of those who sell it.
Moto oyo abombaka ble, bato bakolakela ye mabe; kasi lipamboli ezali epai na moto oyo akoteka yango.
27 He does well to rise early, who seeks what is good. But whoever is a seeker of evils shall be oppressed by them.
Moto oyo alukaka kosala bolamu akozwa ngolu, kasi pasi ekomelaka moto oyo alukaka kosala mabe.
28 Whoever trusts in his riches will fall. But the just shall spring up like a green leaf.
Moto oyo atiaka elikya na bomengo na ye akokweya, kasi bayengebene bakozala kitoko lokola makasa ya sika.
29 Whoever troubles his own house will possess the winds. And whoever is foolish will serve the wise.
Moto oyo akotisaka mobulu kati na ndako na ye akozwa mopepe lokola libula, mpe moto oyo azangi mayele akokoma mowumbu ya moto ya bwanya.
30 The fruit of the just one is the tree of life. And whoever receives souls is wise.
Mbuma ya moto ya sembo ezali nzete ya bomoi, mpe moto ya bwanya abengaka bato pene na ye.
31 If the just are repaid upon the earth, how much more the impious and the sinner!
Soki moto ya sembo azwaka litomba na ye awa na mokili, ekozala boni mpo na moto mabe mpe mosumuki?
