Isaiah 55
1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Ó vós, todos os que tendes sêde, vinde ás aguas, e os que não tendes dinheiro, vinde, comprae, e comei; sim, vinde, pois, comprae, sem dinheiro e sem preço, vinho e leite
2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
Porque gastaes o dinheiro n'aquillo que não é pão? e o producto do vosso trabalho n'aquillo que não pode fartar? ouvi-me attentamente, e comei o bem, e a vossa alma se deleite com a gordura.
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
Inclinae os vossos ouvidos, e vinde a mim; ouvi, e a vossa alma viverá; porque comvosco farei um concerto perpetuo, dando-vos as firmes beneficencias de David.
4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander to the peoples.
Eis que eu o dei por testemunha aos povos, por principe e mandador dos povos.
5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not; and a nation that knew not thee shall run unto thee, because of Jehovah thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
Eis que chamarás a uma nação que nunca conheceste, e uma nação que nunca te conheceu correrá para ti, por amor do Senhor teu Deus, e do Sancto de Israel; porque elle te glorificou.
6 Seek ye Jehovah while he may be found; call ye upon him while he is near:
Buscae ao Senhor emquanto se pode achar, invocae-o emquanto está perto.
7 let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
O impio deixe o seu caminho, e o homem maligno os seus pensamentos, e se converta ao Senhor; e se compadecerá d'elle; como tambem ao nosso Deus, porque grandioso é em perdoar.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Jehovah.
Porque os meus pensamentos não são os vossos pensamentos, nem os vossos caminhos os meus caminhos, diz o Senhor.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Porque, assim como os céus são mais altos do que a terra, assim são os meus caminhos mais altos do que os vossos caminhos, e os meus pensamentos mais altos do que os vossos pensamentos.
10 For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, and giveth seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
Porque, assim como desce a chuva e a neve dos céus, e para lá não torna, porém rega a terra, e a faz produzir, e brotar, e dar semente ao semeador, e pão ao que come
11 so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Assim será a minha palavra, que sair da minha bocca; ella não tornará a mim vazia; antes fará o que me apraz, e prosperará n'aquillo para o que a enviei.
12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands.
Porque com alegria saireis, e em paz sereis guiados: os montes e os outeiros exclamarão de prazer perante a vossa face, e todas as arvores do campo baterão as palmas.
13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir-tree; and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle-tree: and it shall be to Jehovah for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
Em logar do espinheiro crescerá a faia, e em logar da sarça crescerá a murta: o que será para o Senhor por nome, e por signal eterno, que nunca se apagará.
