Revelation 7
1 After this, I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth, or on the sea, or on any tree.
Après cela, je vis quatre anges, debout aux quatre coins de la terre, qui retenaient les quatre vents, afin qu'il ne soufflât aucun vent sur la terre, ni sur la mer, ni sur aucun arbre.
2 I saw another angel ascend from the sunrise, having the seal of the living God. He cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was given to harm the earth and the sea,
Je vis aussi un autre ange qui montait du côté du soleil levant, et qui tenait le sceau du Dieu vivant. Il cria d'une voix forte aux quatre anges qui avaient reçu le pouvoir de faire du mal à la terre et à la mer;
3 saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees, until we have sealed the bondservants of our God on their foreheads!”
et il leur dit: Ne faites point de mal à la terre, ni à la mer, ni aux arbres, jusqu'à ce que nous ayons posé le sceau sur le front des serviteurs de notre Dieu.
4 I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the children of Israel:
Puis j'entendis annoncer le nombre de ceux qui avaient été marqués: cent quarante-quatre mille étaient marqués parmi toutes les tribus des fils d'Israël.
5 of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand, of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand,
De la tribu de Juda, douze mille étaient marqués; de la tribu de Ruben, douze mille; de la tribu de Gad, douze mille;
6 of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand, of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand,
de la tribu d'Asser, douze mille; de la tribu de Nephthali, douze mille; de la tribu de Manassé, douze mille;
7 of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand,
de la tribu de Siméon, douze mille; de la tribu de Lévi, douze mille; de la tribu d'Issacar, douze mille;
8 of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, and of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.
de la tribu de Zabulon, douze mille; de la tribu de Joseph, douze mille; de la tribu de Benjamin, douze mille, tous marqués du sceau.
9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could count, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.
Après cela, je regardai, et je vis une grande multitude, que personne ne pouvait compter, de toute nation, de toute tribu, de tout peuple et de toute langue. Ils se tenaient devant le trône et devant l'Agneau, vêtus de robes blanches, des palmes à la main,
10 They cried with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation be to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
et ils criaient d'une voix forte et disaient: Le salut appartient à notre Dieu, qui est assis sur le trône, et à l'Agneau.
11 All the angels were standing around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before his throne, and worshiped God,
Tous les anges se tenaient en cercle autour du trône, autour des vieillards, et des quatre animaux. Ils se prosternèrent sur leurs visages, devant le trône, et adorèrent Dieu
12 saying, "Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might, be to our God for the ages (aiōn g165) of the ages (aiōn g165)! Amen."
en disant Amen! Louange, gloire, sagesse, actions de grâces, honneurs, puissance et force soient à notre Dieu, aux siècles des siècles! Amen! (aiōn g165)
13 One of the elders answered, saying to me, “These who are arrayed in the white robes, who are they, and where did they come from?”
Alors un des vieillards prit la parole et me dit: Ceux qui sont revêtus de robes blanches, qui sont-ils, et d'où sont-ils venus?
14 I told him, “My lord, you know.” He said to me, “These are those who came out of the great suffering. They washed their robes and made them white in the Lamb’s blood.
Je lui répondis: Mon Seigneur, tu le sais! Il me dit: Ce sont ceux qui viennent de la grande tribulation; ils ont lavé leurs robes et ils les ont blanchies dans le sang de l'Agneau.
15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple. He who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them.
C'est pour cela qu'ils sont devant le trône de Dieu, et qu'ils le servent jour et nuit dans son temple; et celui qui est assis sur le trône, les abritera sous sa tente.
16 They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun will not beat on them, nor any heat;
Ils n'auront plus faim; ils n'auront plus soif; ni le soleil, ni la chaleur ardente ne les frappera plus.
17 for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Car l'Agneau qui est au milieu du trône les paîtra, et il les conduira aux sources des eaux vives; et Dieu essuiera toute larme de leurs yeux!
