Revelation 20
1 I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the Abyss (Abyssos g12) and a great chain in his hand.
Puis je vis descendre du ciel un ange, qui tenait à la main la clef de l'abîme et une grande chaîne. (Abyssos g12)
2 He seized the dragon, the old serpent, who is the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole inhabited earth, and bound him for a thousand years,
Il saisit le dragon, le serpent ancien, qui est le Diable, Satan, et il l'enchaîna pour mille ans.
3 and cast him into the Abyss (Abyssos g12), and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more until the thousand years were finished. After this, he must be freed for a short time.
Il le jeta dans l'abîme et il en ferma l'entrée, qu'il scella sur lui, afin qu'il ne séduisît plus les nations, jusqu'à ce que les mille ans fussent accomplis. Après cela, il faut que Satan soit délié pour un peu de temps. (Abyssos g12)
4 I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and such as did not worship the beast nor his image, and did not receive the mark on their forehead and on their hand. They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
Je vis ensuite des trônes, et à ceux qui s'assirent sur ces trônes fut donné le pouvoir d'exercer le jugement. Je vis aussi les âmes de ceux qui avaient été décapités pour avoir rendu témoignage à Jésus et pour avoir cru à la parole de Dieu, et les âmes de tous ceux qui n'avaient pas adoré la bête, ni son image, et qui n'avaient pas pris sa marque, ni sur leur front, ni sur leurs mains. Ils revinrent à la vie et régnèrent avec le Christ pendant mille ans.
5 The rest of the dead did not live until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Les autres morts ne revinrent pas à la vie avant que les mille ans fussent accomplis. C'est la première résurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over these, the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with him one thousand years.
Heureux et saints, ceux qui ont part à la première résurrection! La seconde mort n'a aucun pouvoir sur eux; mais ils seront sacrificateurs de Dieu et du Christ, et ils régneront avec lui pendant les mille ans.
7 And after the thousand years, Satan will be released from his prison
Quand les mille ans seront accomplis, Satan sera délié;
8 and he will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war, whose number is as the sand of the sea.
il sortira de sa prison pour séduire les peuples qui sont aux quatre coins de la terre, Gog et Magog. Il les rassemblera pour combattre, aussi nombreux que le sable de la mer.
9 They went up over the width of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. Fire came down out of heaven from God and devoured them.
Ils montèrent sur toute l'étendue de la terre, et ils investiront le camp des saints et la cité bien-aimée. Mais il descendit du ciel un feu qui les dévora.
11 I saw a great white throne and him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. There was found no place for them.
Alors je vis un grand trône blanc ainsi que celui qui était assis sur ce trône; devant sa face la terre et le ciel s'enfuirent, et il n'y eut plus de place pour eux.
12 I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Puis, je vis les morts, grands et petits, debout devant le trône, et des livres furent ouverts. On ouvrit aussi un autre livre, qui est le livre de vie; et les morts furent jugés selon leurs oeuvres, d'après ce qui était écrit dans ces livres.
13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades (Hadēs g86) gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works.
La mer rendit les morts qu'elle renfermait. La Mort et le Sépulcre rendirent aussi leurs morts. Et ils furent jugés, chacun selon ses oeuvres. (Hadēs g86)
