1 ⲁ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲁⲩϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛⲃⲗⲗⲉ
As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲃⲃⲉⲓ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲣ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ϫⲛ ⲛⲉϥⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲛⲉ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲩⲉϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉϥⲟ ⲃⲃⲗⲗⲉ
His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
3 ⲅ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲁⲓ ⲣ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲉϥⲕⲉⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲉϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ
Yeshua answered, “This man didn’t sin, nor did his parents, but that the works of God might be revealed in him.
4 ⲇ̅ ϣϣⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ⲉⲣ ϩⲱⲃ ⲉⲛⲉϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓ ϩⲟⲥⲟⲛ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϣ ϭⲙϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲣ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲥ
I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work.
5 ⲉ̅ ϩⲟⲥⲟⲛ ϯϩⲙ ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲛⲅ ⲡⲟⲩⲟⲓⲛ ⲙⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ
While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
6 ⲋ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁϥⲛⲉϫ ⲟⲩⲡⲁϭⲥⲉ ⲉⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲙⲓⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲙⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲁϭⲥⲉ ⲁϥϫⲉϩ ⲡⲟⲙⲉ ⲉⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ
When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man’s eyes with the mud,
7 ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲛⲅⲉⲓⲁ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲟ ϩⲛ ⲧⲕⲟⲗⲩⲙⲃⲏⲑⲣⲁ ⲙⲡⲥⲓⲗⲱⲁⲙ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉϣⲁⲩⲟⲩⲁϩⲙⲉϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩϥ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ϭⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲓⲁ ⲡⲉϥϩⲟ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means “Sent”). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.
8 ⲏ̅ ⲛⲉⲧϩⲓⲧⲟⲩⲱϥ ϭⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲣⲉϥⲧⲱⲃⲁϩ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲙⲡⲁⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉⲧϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧϣⲉ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲛⲁⲁ
Therefore the neighbours and those who saw that he was blind before said, “Isn’t this he who sat and begged?”
9 ⲑ̅ ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉϥⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ
Others were saying, “It is he.” Still others were saying, “He looks like him.” He said, “I am he.”
10 ⲓ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁϣ ϭⲉ ⲛϩⲉ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲕⲃⲁⲗ
They therefore were asking him, “How were your eyes opened?”
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲙⲓⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲙⲉ ⲁϥϫⲉϩ ⲛⲁⲃⲁⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲡⲥⲓⲗⲱⲁⲙ ⲛⲅⲉⲓⲁ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲟ ⲁⲓⲃⲱⲕ ϭⲉ ⲁⲓⲉⲓⲁ ⲡⲁϩⲟ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲉⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
He answered, “A man called Yeshua made mud, anointed my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went away and washed, and I received sight.”
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲧⲱⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲛϯⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ
Then they asked him, “Where is he?” He said, “I don’t know.”
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁⲩⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲉϥⲟ ⲃⲃⲗⲗⲉ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ
They brought him who had been blind to the Pharisees.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲉ ⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲓⲥ ⲧⲁⲙⲓⲉ ⲡⲟⲙⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ
It was a Sabbath when Yeshua made the mud and opened his eyes.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲩϫⲛⲟⲩϥ ϭⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲕⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲁϣ ⲛϩⲉ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲉⲥϭ ⲟⲩⲟⲙⲉ ⲉⲛⲁⲃⲁⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲓⲁ ⲡⲁϩⲟ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, “He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and I see.”
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ϩⲟⲓⲛⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲉⲓⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛϥϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁϣ ⲛϩⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ϣϭⲟⲙ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲣⲉϥⲣ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲉⲣ ⲛⲉⲓⲙⲁⲓⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲟⲩⲥⲭⲓⲥⲙⲁ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ
Some therefore of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because he doesn’t keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” So there was division amongst them.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉϥⲟ ⲃⲃⲗⲗⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲉⲕϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲉⲕⲃⲁⲗ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ
Therefore they asked the blind man again, “What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.”
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ϭⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲃⲗⲗⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϣⲁⲛⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
The Judeans therefore didn’t believe concerning him, that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight,
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϫⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛⲃⲗⲗⲉ ⲛⲁϣ ϭⲉ ⲛϩⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
and asked them, “Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”
20 ⲕ̅ ⲛⲉϥⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲩ ϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛⲃⲗⲗⲉ
His parents answered them, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲁϣ ⲇⲉ ⲛϩⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲏ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ϩⲱⲱϥ ⲁϥⲣ ⲧⲉ ⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ
but how he now sees, we don’t know; or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.”
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉϥⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲩⲥⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲁ ϩⲟⲙⲟⲗⲟⲅⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲭⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲉϥⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲡⲟⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲟⲥ
His parents said these things because they feared the Judeans; for the Judeans had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Messiah, he would be put out of the synagogue.
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲁⲛⲉϥⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲣ ⲛⲟϭ ⲙⲁϫⲛⲟⲩϥ
Therefore his parents said, “He is of age. Ask him.”
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϭⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲙⲡⲙⲉϩⲥⲉⲡ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉϥⲟ ⲛⲃⲗⲗⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ϯ ⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲉⲓⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲉϥⲣ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲡⲉ
So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲏ ϫⲉ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲉϥⲣ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛϯⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉϯⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲓⲟ ⲛⲃⲗⲗⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉ ⲛⲟⲩ ϯⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
He therefore answered, “I don’t know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.”
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲉⲕⲃⲁⲗ ⲛⲁϣ ⲛϩⲉ
They said to him again, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲉⲓⲟⲩⲱ ⲉⲓϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲟⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩⲉϣ ⲥⲟⲧⲙⲉϥ ⲙⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩⲱϣ ϩⲱⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲣ ⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲁϥ
He answered them, “I told you already, and you didn’t listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You don’t also want to become his disciples, do you?”
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲥⲁϩⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲙⲙⲱⲩⲥⲏⲥ
They insulted him and said, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲙⲱⲩⲥⲏⲥ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ
We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don’t know where he comes from.”
30 ⲗ̅ ⲁⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲣⲱ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲉϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲁⲃⲁⲗ
The man answered them, “How amazing! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲙⲉⲣⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲉϥⲣ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲩⲣⲙⲛⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϣ ϣⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲟϥ
We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshipper of God and does his will, he listens to him.
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ϫⲓⲛ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲉⲛⲃⲁⲗ ⲛⲟⲩⲁ ⲉⲁⲩϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛⲃⲗⲗⲉ (aiōn g165)
Since the world began it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind. (aiōn g165)
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲉⲛⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲉϥⲛⲁϣⲣ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ
If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲡⲟⲕ ⲧⲏⲣⲕ ϩⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲉⲕⲛⲁϯ ⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲛⲟϫϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
They answered him, “You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?” Then they threw him out.
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲓⲥ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲛⲟϫϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ
Yeshua heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of God?”
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲉⲓⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ
He answered, “Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?”
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲕⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉ
Yeshua said to him, “You have both seen him, and it is he who speaks with you.”
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅
He said, “Lord, I believe!” and he worshipped him.
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲛⲧⲁⲓⲉⲓ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲡⲉⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲩϩⲁⲡ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲩⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲃⲗⲗⲉ
Yeshua said, “I came into this world for judgement, that those who don’t see may see; and that those who see may become blind.”
40 ⲙ̅ ⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲛϭⲓ ϩⲟⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ϩⲱⲱⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲃⲗⲗⲉ
Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said to him, “Are we also blind?”
41 ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲃⲗⲗⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲙⲙⲛ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ
Yeshua said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.
