Saul was consenting to his death. A great persecution arose against the assembly which was in Jerusalem in that day. They were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except for the emissaries.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲕⲱⲱⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲥⲧⲉⲫⲁⲛⲟⲥ ⲛϭⲓ ϩⲉⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲣⲉϥⲣϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲉⲁⲩⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲛⲉϩⲡⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱϥ
Devout men buried Stephen and lamented greatly over him.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲥⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉϥϣⲱϥ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲉϥⲃⲏⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲛⲏⲓ ⲉϥⲥⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉϩⲓⲟⲙⲉ ⲉϥⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲉϣⲧⲉⲕⲟ
But Saul ravaged the assembly, entering into every house and dragged both men and women off to prison.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϫⲱⲱⲣⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲉⲩⲧⲁϣⲉⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲙⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ
Therefore those who were scattered abroad went around proclaiming the word.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲩⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲁϥⲕⲏⲣⲩⲥⲥⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ
Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Messiah.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲙⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲩϯ ⲛϩⲧⲏⲩ ϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲡ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉ ⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲙ ⲡⲧⲣⲉⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲥⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲙⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲉⲛⲉϥⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ
The multitudes listened with one accord to the things that were spoken by Philip when they heard and saw the signs which he did.
7 ⲍ̅ ϩⲁϩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲛⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲛⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲧⲟⲛ ϩⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲥⲙⲏ ⲉⲩⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲩⲥⲏϭ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϭⲁⲗⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲗϭⲟⲟⲩ
For unclean spirits came out of many of those who had them. They came out, crying with a loud voice. Many who had been paralysed and lame were healed.
8 ⲏ̅ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ
There was great joy in that city.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲉϥⲣϩⲓⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲡⲱϣⲥ ⲙⲡϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ
But there was a certain man, Simon by name, who used to practise sorcery in the city and amazed the people of Samaria, making himself out to be some great one,
10 ⲓ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩϯ ⲛϩⲧⲏⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϫⲓⲛ ⲡⲉⲩⲕⲟⲩⲓ ϣⲁ ⲡⲉⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲛⲟϭ ⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
to whom they all listened, from the least to the greatest, saying, “This man is that great power of God.”
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲭⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲣⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲓϣ ⲉϥⲡⲱϣⲥ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲙⲙⲛⲧⲙⲁⲅⲟⲥ
They listened to him because for a long time he had amazed them with his sorceries.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲍⲉ ⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲛⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϩⲓⲟⲙⲉ
But when they believed Philip proclaiming good news concerning God’s Kingdom and the name of Yeshua the Messiah, they were immersed, both men and women.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ϩⲱⲱϥ ⲟⲛ ⲁϥⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϫⲓ ⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲛⲉϥⲡⲣⲟⲥⲕⲁⲣⲧⲉⲣⲓ ⲉⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲉⲛⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲛⲟϭ ⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲉϥⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲡⲱϣⲥ
Simon himself also believed. Being immersed, he continued with Philip. Seeing signs and great miracles occurring, he was amazed.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲑⲓⲗⲏⲙ ϫⲉ ⲁⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ϣⲱⲡ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲙⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩϫⲟⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ
Now when the emissaries who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and Yochanan to them,
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲁⲩϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲩⲉϫⲓⲡⲛⲁ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ
who, when they had come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit;
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲁⲧϥⲉⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲉⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲥ
for as yet he had fallen on none of them. They had only been immersed in the name of Messiah Yeshua.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲗⲉϭⲓϫ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ
Then they laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲧⲁⲗⲟ ⲛⲛϭⲓϫ ⲛⲛⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲩϯ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲁϥⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲭⲣⲏⲙⲁ
Now when Simon saw that the Holy Spirit was given through the laying on of the emissaries’ hands, he offered them money,
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲡⲉϯⲛⲁⲧⲁⲗⲉ ϭⲓϫ ⲉϫⲱϥ ⲉϥⲉϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ
saying, “Give me also this power, that whomever I lay my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”
20 ⲕ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲁⲧ ⲉϥⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲕ ⲉⲡⲧⲁⲕⲟ ϫⲉ ⲁⲕⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ϫⲉ ⲧⲇⲱⲣⲉⲁ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉϣⲁⲩϫⲡⲟⲥ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲭⲣⲏⲙⲁ
But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲙⲛ ⲙⲉⲣⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲥ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛⲁⲕ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲓϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲕϩⲏⲧ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲥⲟⲩⲧⲱⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart isn’t right before God.
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲙⲉⲧⲁⲛⲟⲓ ϭⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲕⲕⲁⲕⲓⲁ ⲛⲅⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲕⲱ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲕϩⲏⲧ
Repent therefore of this, your wickedness, and ask God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ϯⲛⲁⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲉⲕϣⲟⲟⲡ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲭⲟⲗⲏ ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲣⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲙⲣⲣⲉ ⲛϫⲓ ⲛϭⲟⲛⲥ
For I see that you are in the poison of bitterness and in the bondage of iniquity.”
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲓ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲛⲛⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲓ
Simon answered, “Pray for me to the Lord, that none of the things which you have spoken happen to me.”
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲣⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϫⲱ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲕⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲓⲗⲏⲙ ⲉⲩⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲛϯⲙⲉ ⲛⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲍⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ
They therefore, when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the Good News to many villages of the Samaritans.
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲅⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲉⲉⲣⲉ ϩⲓ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲉⲧⲟ ⲛⲉⲣⲏⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲑⲓⲗⲏⲙ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲅⲁⲍⲁ
Then an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise, and go towards the south to the way that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza. This is a desert.”
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲉϭⲱϣ ⲛⲥⲓⲟⲩⲣ ⲛⲇⲩⲛⲁⲥⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲕⲁⲛⲇⲁⲕⲏ ⲧⲣⲣⲱ ⲛⲛⲉϭⲟⲟϣ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲉϥϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲛⲉⲥⲭⲣⲏⲙⲁ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲑⲓⲗⲏⲙ ⲉⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ
He arose and went; and behold, there was a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasure, who had come to Jerusalem to worship.
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲕⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲓ ⲡⲉϥϩⲁⲣⲙⲁ ⲉϥⲱϣ ⲛⲏⲥⲁⲓⲁⲥ ⲡⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ
He was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah.
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲙⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϯⲡⲉⲕⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲛⲅⲧⲟϭⲕ ⲉⲡⲉⲓϩⲁⲣⲙⲁ
The Spirit said to Philip, “Go near, and join yourself to this chariot.”
30 ⲗ̅ ⲁϥϯ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲛϭⲓ ⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉϥⲱϣ ⲛⲏⲥⲁⲓⲁⲥ ⲡⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲙⲡⲉⲥⲓⲟⲩⲣ ϫⲉ ⲁⲣⲁ ⲕⲛⲟⲓ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲕⲱϣ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ
Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁϣ ⲛϩⲉ ϯⲛⲁϣϭⲙϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲓⲙⲏⲧⲓ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲧⲥⲉⲃⲉⲉⲓⲁⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥⲥⲉⲡⲥ ⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲁⲗⲉ ⲛϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲩⲱϥ
He said, “How can I, unless someone explains it to me?” He begged Philip to come up and sit with him.
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ⲉⲛⲉϥⲱϣ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲥⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲁⲩⲛⲧϥ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲙⲁ ⲛⲕⲟⲛⲥϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲓⲉⲓⲃ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲱⲕⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥⲉⲛϥϯ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲥⲙⲏ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲙⲡϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲣⲱϥ
Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, “He was led as a sheep to the slaughter. As a lamb before his shearer is silent, so he doesn’t open his mouth.
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϥⲑⲃⲃⲓⲟ ⲁⲩϥⲓ ⲙⲡⲉϥϩⲁⲡ ⲧⲉϥⲅⲉⲛⲉⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲧⲁⲩⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϥⲓ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ
In his humiliation, his judgement was taken away. Who will declare His generation? For his life is taken from the earth.”
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲥⲓⲟⲩⲣ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲙⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϯⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ⲁϫⲓⲥ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲱ ⲙⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ ϫⲛ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ
The eunuch answered Philip, “Who is the prophet talking about? About himself, or about someone else?”
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲣⲱϥ ⲉⲁϥⲁⲣⲭⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲓⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ⲁϥⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲍⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ
Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached to him about Yeshua.
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲉⲩⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲓ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲥⲓⲟⲩⲣ ⲙⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲕⲱⲗⲩ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲉⲧⲣⲁϫⲓ ⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ
As they went on the way, they came to some water; and the eunuch said, “Behold, here is water. What is keeping me from being immersed?”
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲉϩ ⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲡϩⲁⲣⲙⲁ ⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲙⲡⲉⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲍⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
He commanded the chariot to stand still, and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he immersed him.
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲡⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲣⲡ ⲙⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡϥⲕⲟⲧϥ ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲥⲓⲟⲩⲣ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲉϥϩⲓⲏ ⲉϥⲣⲁϣⲉ
When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, and the eunuch didn’t see him any more, for he went on his way rejoicing.
40 ⲙ̅ ⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϩⲛ ⲁⲍⲱⲧⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲉϥⲧⲁϣⲉⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲙⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲛⲧϥⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲕⲁⲓⲥⲁⲣⲓⲁ
But Philip was found at Azotus. Passing through, he preached the Good News to all the cities until he came to Caesarea.
