1 ⲁ̅ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲁⲑⲏⲛⲁⲓⲥ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲕⲟⲣⲓⲛⲑⲟⲥ
After these things Paul departed from Athens and came to Corinth.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϩⲉ ⲉⲩⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲕⲩⲗⲁⲥ ⲟⲩⲡⲟⲛⲧⲓⲕⲟⲥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϥⲅⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⲉⲁϥⲉⲓ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲑⲓⲧⲁⲗⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲣⲓⲥⲕⲓⲗⲗⲁ ⲧⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲁⲕⲗⲁⲩⲇⲓⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲉϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ϩⲣⲱⲙⲏ ⲁϥϯ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ
He found a certain Jew named Aquila, a man of Pontus by race, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome. He came to them,
3 ⲅ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϭⲱ ϩⲁⲧⲏⲩ ⲁϥⲣϩⲱⲃ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲉϥⲉⲓⲟⲡⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲩⲧⲉⲭⲛⲏ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉⲣⲉϥⲧⲁⲙⲓⲉ ⲥⲕⲩⲛⲏ
and because he practised the same trade, he lived with them and worked, for by trade they were tent makers.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉϥⲡⲓⲑⲉ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲙⲛ ⲛϩⲉⲗⲗⲏⲛ
He reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath and persuaded Jews and Greeks.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲥⲓⲗⲁⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲓ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲓⲙⲟⲑⲉⲟⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲙⲁⲕⲉⲇⲟⲛⲓⲁ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲏⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉϥⲣⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ
When Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was compelled by the Spirit, testifying to the Jews that Yeshua was the Messiah.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϯ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲃⲏϥ ⲉⲩϫⲓⲟⲩⲁ ⲁϥⲛⲉϩ ⲛⲉϥϩⲟⲓⲧⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲡⲉ ϯⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϫⲓⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲓⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ
When they opposed him and blasphemed, he shook out his clothing and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am clean. From now on, I will go to the Gentiles!”
7 ⲍ̅ ⲁϥⲡⲱⲱⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲏⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲟⲛ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲓⲧⲟⲥ ⲉϥϣⲙϣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ϩⲏⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ
He departed there and went into the house of a certain man named Justus, one who worshipped God, whose house was next door to the synagogue.
8 ⲏ̅ ⲕⲣⲓⲥⲡⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲁⲣⲭⲏⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲁϩ ϩⲛ ⲛⲕⲟⲣⲓⲛⲑⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲁⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ
Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord with all his house. Many of the Corinthians, when they heard, believed and were immersed.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲟⲣⲟⲙⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲣⲕⲁⲣⲱⲕ
The Lord said to Paul in the night by a vision, “Don’t be afraid, but speak and don’t be silent;
10 ⲓ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲛⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϣϭⲙϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲣⲡⲉⲑⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲕ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱϥ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲓⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ
for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many people in this city.”
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲟⲙⲡⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲥⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲃⲟⲧ ⲉϥϯ ⲥⲃⲱ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲙⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
He lived there a year and six months, teaching the word of God amongst them.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲅⲁⲗⲗⲓⲱⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛⲁⲛⲑⲩⲡⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲉϫⲛ ⲧⲁⲭⲁⲓⲁ ⲁⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲡ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥⲁⲩⲛ ⲛⲉⲩϭⲓϫ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱϥ ⲁⲩϫⲓⲧϥ ⲉⲡⲃⲏⲙⲁ
But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rose up against Paul and brought him before the judgement seat,
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲣⲁ ⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲓⲑⲉ ⲛⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉϣⲙϣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
saying, “This man persuades men to worship God contrary to the law.”
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲓ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲣⲱϥ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲅⲁⲗⲗⲓⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉⲛⲉ ⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲛϭⲟⲛⲥ ⲏ ⲟⲩϩⲱⲃ ⲉϥϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲱ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲛⲉⲓⲛⲁⲁⲛⲉⲭⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲩⲗⲟⲅⲱⲥ
But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, “If indeed it were a matter of wrong or of wicked crime, you Jews, it would be reasonable that I should bear with you;
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲉϣϫⲉ ϩⲉⲛⲍⲏⲧⲏⲙⲁ ⲛⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲟⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ⲏ ϩⲉⲛⲣⲁⲛ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲣⲱϣⲉ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛϯⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲁⲛ ⲉϯ ϩⲁⲡ ⲉϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲙⲓⲛⲉ
but if they are questions about words and names and your own law, look to it yourselves. For I don’t want to be a judge of these matters.”
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲛⲟϫⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲃⲏⲙⲁ
So he drove them from the judgement seat.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁⲛϩⲗⲗⲏⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲛⲥⲱⲥⲑⲉⲛⲏⲥ ⲡⲁⲣⲭⲏⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲟⲥ ⲁⲩϩⲓⲟⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲃⲏⲙⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲉⲅⲁⲗⲗⲓⲱⲛ ⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲭⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ
Then all the Greeks seized Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgement seat. Gallio didn’t care about any of these things.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲁϥϭⲱ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲕⲉⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲧⲛ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁϥⲁⲡⲟⲧⲁⲥⲥⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲥϭⲏⲣ ⲉⲧⲥⲩⲣⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲣⲓⲥⲕⲓⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲕⲩⲗⲁⲥ ⲁϥϩⲉⲕⲉ ⲧⲉϥⲁⲡⲉ ϩⲛ ⲕⲉⲛⲭⲣⲁⲓⲁⲓⲥ ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧ
Paul, having stayed after this many more days, took his leave of the brothers, and sailed from there for Syria, together with Priscilla and Aquila. He shaved his head in Cenchreae, for he had a vow.
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲡⲱϩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲉⲫⲉⲥⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲛⲏⲩ ⲁⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ ⲁϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ
He came to Ephesus, and he left them there; but he himself entered into the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews.
20 ⲕ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲉⲡⲥⲱⲡϥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲙⲡϥϭⲱ
When they asked him to stay with them a longer time, he declined;
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁϥⲕⲁ ⲛⲏ ⲙⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲁⲡⲟⲧⲁⲥⲥⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲕⲧⲟⲓ ⲟⲛϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲫⲉⲥⲟⲥ
but taking his leave of them, he said, “I must by all means keep this coming feast in Jerusalem, but I will return again to you if God wills.” Then he set sail from Ephesus.
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁϥⲥϭⲏⲣ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲕⲁⲓⲥⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲁϥⲁⲥⲡⲁⲍⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲉⲧⲁⲛⲧⲓⲟⲭⲓⲁ
When he had landed at Caesarea, he went up and greeted the assembly, and went down to Antioch.
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲣ ⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϥⲙⲟⲩϣⲧ ⲛⲧⲉⲭⲱⲣⲁ ⲛⲧⲅⲁⲗⲁⲧⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉⲫⲣⲩⲅⲓⲁ ⲉϥⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ
Having spent some time there, he departed and went through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, in order, establishing all the disciples.
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲟⲩⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲡⲟⲗⲗⲱ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲫⲉⲥⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲁⲗⲉⲝⲁⲛⲇⲣⲉⲩⲥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϥⲅⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲩⲛⲧϥ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲩⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ
Now a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by race, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus. He was mighty in the Scriptures.
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲁⲩⲕⲁⲑⲏⲕⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲃⲣⲃⲣ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲛⲉϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥϯ ⲥⲃⲱ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲣϫ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲉϥⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ
This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Yeshua, although he knew only the immersion of Yochanan.
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲁϥⲁⲣⲭⲉⲓ ⲙⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁⲍⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϩⲛ ⲧⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥⲛϭⲓ ⲁⲕⲩⲗⲁⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲣⲓⲥⲕⲓⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲩϣⲟⲡϥ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲙⲟϥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲣϫ ⲉⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside, and explained to him the way of God more accurately.
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲣⲟⲧⲣⲉⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉϩⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲧⲁⲭⲁⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲥϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲉϣⲟⲡϥⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲙⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲉⲡⲉϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲛⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ
When he had determined to pass over into Achaia, the brothers encouraged him; and wrote to the disciples to receive him. When he had come, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace;
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲛⲉϥϫⲡⲓⲟ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉⲙⲁⲧⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲉϥⲧⲁⲙⲟ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ
for he powerfully refuted the Jews, publicly showing by the Scriptures that Yeshua was the Messiah.
