1 Anih a ngawnnah te aka rhoih la Sual khaw om. Te vaeng tue ah a nah la hlangboel hnaemtaeknah te Jerusalem ah om. Te dongah caeltueih rhoek bueng pawt atah hlang boeih loh Judea neh Samaria paeng tom la palang uh.
Saul now was there consenting to the killing of him. Arose then on that [very] day a persecution great against the church which [was] in Jerusalem; All (then *N+kO) were scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria except the apostles.
2 Stephen te aka cuep hlang rhoek loh a up uh tih anih te rhangsaenah a saii uh.
Buried now Stephen men devout and (they made *N+kO) lamentation great over him.
3 Tedae Saul tah im takuem la kun tih hlangboel te a phae. Huta tongpa te a mawt tih thongim ah a thak.
Saul however was destroying the church by houses entering, dragging off then men and women he was delivering [them] to prison.
4 Te dongah aka palang rhoek long khaw caeh lam ah olthangthen a thui uh.
Those indeed therefore having been scattered they went about evangelising the word.
5 Te vaengah Philip tah Samaria kho la cet tih amih taengah Khrih te a hoe.
Philip now having gone down to (the *no) city of Samaria was proclaiming to them the Christ.
6 Philip loh a thui te hlangping loh a hnatung tih huek a yaak uh vaengah miknoek a saii te a hmuh uh.
Were giving heed (now *N+kO) the crowds to the [things] being spoken by Philip with one accord in the [time] to hear them and to see the signs that he was performing;
7 Rhalawt mueihla aka kaem rhoek te khaw ol ue la pang uh tih muep nong uh. Aka khawn neh aka khaem rhoek khaw muep hoeih uh.
(many *N+kO) for of those having spirits unclean crying voice in a loud (were coming out, *N+kO) many now paralyzed and lame were healed;
8 Te dongah khopuei khuiah omngaihnah te muep om.
(and *k) There was (then *no) (much *N+kO) joy in the city that.
9 Te vaengah kho khuikah aka om noek hlang pakhat, a ming ah Simon loh hlang a bi tih khat khat taengah amah te a len la om ham a ti dongah Samaria namtu te a limlum sak.
A man now certain named Simon was formerly in the city practicing sorcery and amazing the people of Samaria declaring to be someone himself great;
10 Anih te a yit a len hlang boeih loh a hnatung uh tih, “A khuet la a khue Pathen kah a thaomnah ni he,” a ti uh.
to whom were giving heed all from small until great saying; This [one] is the power of God which (is called *NO) Great.
11 Amih te kum te yet khuiah hlangbi neh a limlum sak dongah ni anih te a hnatung uh.
They were giving heed now to him because the long time with the magic arts to have amazed them;
12 Tedae Philip loh a phong Pathen ram kawng neh Jesuh Khrih ming te a tangnah uh dongah huta tongpa a nuem.
When however they believed Philip evangelising concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized men both and women.
13 Simon amah long khaw a tangnah dongah a nuem tih Philip taengah aka khuituk la coeng. Miknoek neh thaomnah tanglue a saii te a hmuh vaengah limlum.
And Simon also himself believed, and having been baptized he was steadfastly continuing with Philip, Beholding then [the] signs and miracles great being performed he was amazed.
14 Samaria loh Pathen kah olka a doe te Jerusalem kah caeltueih rhoek loh a yaak uh vaengah amih taengla Peter neh Johan te a tueih uh.
Having heard now the in Jerusalem apostles that has received Samaria the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John;
15 A suntlak rhoi vaengah Mueihla Cim dang uh van saeh tila amih ham thangthui rhoi.
who having come down they prayed for them that they may receive [the] Spirit Holy.
16 Boeipa Jesuh ming neh nuem tangtae la om uh coeng dae, amih te Mueihla Cim loh pakhat khaw tlak thil la om hlan.
(Not yet *N+kO) for He was upon none of them having fallen, only however baptized they were being into the name of the (Lord *NK+O) Jesus.
17 Te dongah amih te kut a tloeng thil rhoi tih Mueihla Cim a dang uh.
Then they were laying the hands upon them and they were receiving [the] Spirit Holy.
18 Caeltueih rhoek kah kut a tloengnah lamloh Mueihla a paek te Simon loh a hmuh vaengah amih taengla tangka a khuen tih,
(having seen *N+kO) now of Simon that through the laying on of the hands of the apostles was given the Spirit (holy *KO) he offered to them money
19 “Tahae kah saithainah he kai khaw m'pae uh lamtah kut ka tloeng thil sarhui loh Mueihla Cim dang van saeh,” a ti nah.
saying; do give also to me also to me authority this, that on whom (when *N+kO) I shall lay the hands he may receive [the] Spirit Holy.
20 Tedae Peter loh anih te, “Pathen kah kutdoe he tangka la kaelh ham na poek dongah, na tangka te namah taengah pocinah la om saeh.
Peter however said to him; The silver of you with you would [that] it be to destruction, because the gift of God you thought through money to be obtained!
21 He olka dongah na hmulung neh khoyo a om moenih. Na thinko te Pathen hmaiah thaeng a om moenih.
No there is to you part nor lot in matter this; the for heart of you not is right (before *N+kO) God.
22 Na phayoenah he yut lamtah Boeipa taengah thangthui. Na thinko kah mangtaengnah loh nang n'hlah vuek khaming.
do repent therefore of the wickedness of yours this and do pray earnestly to the (Lord, *N+KO) if indeed will be forgiven you the intent of the heart of you.
23 Olkhaa hmuet neh boethae kah pinyennah khuiah na om te ka hmuh,” a ti nah.
in for [the] gall of bitterness and [the] bond of iniquity I see you being.
24 Te dongah Simon loh a doo tih, “Boeipa taengah kai hamla nangmih loh thangtui uh lamtah na thui te kai soah ha thoeng boel saeh,” a ti nah.
Answering now Simon said; do pray earnestly you yourselves on behalf of me to the Lord, so that nothing may come upon me myself of which you have spoken.
25 Te rhoek long te a uen uh tih Boeipa kah olka a thui pa uh phoeiah, Jerusalem la bal uh. Samaria kah kho te yet te khaw olthangthen phong pauh.
They indeed therefore having earnestly testified and having spoken the word of the Lord (were travelling back *N+kO) to Jerusalem, to many then villages of the Samaritans (they were evangelising. *N+kO)
26 Te vaengah Boeipa kah puencawn loh Philip te a voek tih, “Thoo, tuithim long ben la cet lamtah, Jerusalem lamloh Gaza la suntla thuk. Te ah te khosoek om lah ko,” a ti nah.
An angel now of [the] Lord spoke to Philip saying; do rise up and do go toward [the] south to the road which is going down from Jerusalem to Gaza; This is [the] desert [road].
27 Te dongah thoo tih a caeh vaengah Ethiopia manghai nu Kandaki kah hlueikhu mangpa Ethiopia hlang pakhat lawt humuh. Anih loh manghai nu kah khohrhang boeih a om thil. Te vaengah anih khaw bawk hamla Jerusalem ah ha lo.
And having risen up he went; And behold a man an Ethiopian a eunuch a potentate of Candace (the *k) queen of Ethiopians, who was over all the treasure of her, who had come to then worship to Jerusalem,
28 Te tlam te om tih a bal vaengah amah kah leng khuiah ngol tih tonghma Isaiah te a tae.
he was (then *NK+o) returning and sitting in the chariot of him and he was reading the prophet Isaiah.
29 Te vaengah Philip te Mueihla loh, “Leng ke paan lamtah ben lah,” a ti nah.
Said then the Spirit to Philip; do go near and do be joined to the chariot this [one].
30 Puk a cuk vaengah tonghma Isaiah a tae te Philip loh a yaak tih, “Na tae te na yakming van nim te,” a ti nah.
Having run up then Philip heard when he is reading Isaiah the prophet and said; Surely not also understand you what you are reading?
31 Anih van long khaw, “Pakhat loh kai he long n'tueng pawt atah metlam ka coeng thai van eh?,” a ti nah. Te phoeiah amah taengla luei tih ngol hamla Philip te a cael.
And he said; How for maybe would I be able only unless someone (will guide *N+kO) me? He invited then Philip having come up to sit with him.
32 Te dongah a tae olcim kah a hmuet a hma tah he tlam he om. Tu bangla maeh la a mawt tih, tuca bangla a mul aka rhuep hmaiah olmueh la om. Te dongah a ka khaw ang pawh.
Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this: As a sheep to slaughter He was led, and as a lamb before the [one who] (shearing *N+kO) him [is] silent, so not He opens the mouth of Him.
33 Amah kah laitloeknah loh amah te mathoe khuila a khuen. A hingnah te diklai lamkah a loh pah coeng dongah a rhuirhong te u long a thui eh?
In the humiliation of Him justice from Him was taken away, The (now *k) generation of Him who will describe? For is removed from the earth the life of Him.
34 Te vaengah hlueikhu boei loh Philip te a doo tih, “Nang kan dawt lah eh, tahae kah a thui tonghma he u nim ca? Amah kawng a? A tloe khat khat kah a kawng a?” a ti nah.
Answering now the eunuch to Philip said; I pray you, concerning whom the prophet says this? Concerning himself, or concerning other some?
35 Te dongah Philip loh a ka a ong tih cacim lamloh a tong phoeiah Jesuh te anih taengah a phong.
Having opened then Philip the mouth of him and having begun from Scripture this he evangelised to him [about] Jesus.
36 Long te a caeh phai rhoi vaengah tui pakhat te a pha rhoi. Te vaengah hlueikhu boei loh, “Tui ke, nuem ham ba long lae kai n'kang,” a ti nah.
As then they were going along the road, they came upon some water and says the eunuch; Behold water; what prevents me to be baptized?
37 Te dongah Philip loh, “Na thinko boeih neh na tangnah nim ca?,” a ti nah hatah, “Jesuh Khrih tah Pathen capa ni tila ka tangnah,” a ti nah.
(said now Philip: if believe you from all the heart it is lawful. answering now said: I believe the son of God to be Jesus Christ. *K)
38 Te dongah leng te pai sak ham ol a paek. Te phoeiah Philip khaw, hlueikhu boei khaw, tui khuila bok suntla rhoi tih anih te a nuem.
And he commanded to stop the chariot, And they went down both to the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.
39 Tedae tui lamkah loh ha yoeng hang vaengah Philip te Boeipa kah Mueihla loh vik a khuen. Te vaengah hlueikhu boei loh anih te hmu voel pawh. Tedae a caehlong ah omngaih la cet.
When now they came up out of the water, [the] Spirit of [the] Lord carried away Philip, and not saw him no longer no longer the eunuch; he was going for the way of him rejoicing.
40 Te phoeiah Philip tah Azotus ah phoe tih, aka cet te Kaisarea a pha hlan khuiah khopuei takuem la olthangthen a phong.
Philip however was found at Azotus, and passing through he was evangelising to the towns all until coming of him to Caesarea.
