< 1 Korin 2 >

1 Nawkamyanawk, Kahoih Sithaw tamthanglok taphong hanah nangcae khae kang zoh naah, lokthuih kophaih maw, to tih ai boeh loe palunghahaih hoiah maw kang zo ai.
So when I came to you, brothers, I did not come proclaiming God's testimony to you with a ‘superior’ speech or wisdom.
2 Jesu Kri hoi Anih takhinghaih lok khue ai ah loe, nangcae khae hoi panoek koehhaih tidoeh ka tawn ai.
For I determined to ‘know’ nothing while among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
3 Thazokhaih, zithaih hoi paroeai tasoehhaih hoiah ni nangcae khaeah ka oh.
Also, I was with you in weakness, in fear, and with much trembling.
4 Lok ka thuih moe, tamthanglok ka taphong naah, kami palunghahaih hoiah zoekhaih lok to ka thui ai, toe thacak Muithla amtuenghaih hoiah ni lok to ka thuih:
Yes, my message and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
5 na tang o haih loe kami palunghahaih nuiah amha han om ai, Sithaw thacakhaih nuiah ni amha han oh.
so that your faith not be in men's wisdom, but in God's power.
6 Palunghahaih lok to tanghaih bangah akoep kaminawk khaeah a thuih o: toe tiah doeh kangcoeng ai, hae long palunghahaih lok hoi hae long ukkungnawk ih palunghahaih lok to a thui o ai: (aiōn g165)
However, we do speak wisdom among the mature, albeit not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are being set aside; (aiōn g165)
7 toe lensawkhaih ah a oh o hanah, long om ai naah Sithaw mah paek ih panoek karai palunghahaih lok, kathuk Sithaw palunghahaih lok to ni a thuih o: (aiōn g165)
but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom that God ordained before the ages for our glory, (aiōn g165)
8 to kathuk palunghahaih loe hae long nui ukkungnawk mah panoek o ai: nihcae mah panoek o nahaeloe, lensawkhaih Angraeng to takhing o mak ai. (aiōn g165)
that none of the rulers of this age have understood (because if they had understood, they would not have crucified the Lord of the glory). (aiōn g165)
9 Sithaw mah a palung ih kaminawk hanah sak pae ih hmuennawk loe, mik hoiah hnu ai, naa hoiah thai ai, kami ih palung thungah doeh akun ai, tiah tarik ih oh.
However, as it is written: “Things no eye has seen and no ear has heard, and no heart of man has imagined, such things has God prepared for those who love Him.”
10 Toe Sithaw mah to hmuennawk to Angmah ih Muithla rang hoiah aicae khaeah amtuengsak boeh: Muithla loe hmuennawk boih to pakrong, ue, kathuk Sithaw ih hmuennawk doeh pakrong.
But to us God has revealed them by His Spirit; because the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
11 Kami takoh thungah kaom hmuennawk loe angmah ih palung thungah kaom palung khue mah ai ah loe mi mah maw panoek thai tih? To baktih toengah Sithaw ih hmuennawk doeh Sithaw ih Muithla mah ai ah loe mi mah doeh panoek thai ai.
Now who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man that is in him? So also no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
12 Sithaw mah aicae khaeah azom ah paek ih hmuennawk to a panoek o thai hanah, long muithla na ai ah, Sithaw ih Muithla to vaihi azom ah a hnuk o boeh.
We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, so that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God;
13 A thuih o ih hmuennawk doeh, kami palunghahaih mah patuk ih loknawk hoiah a thui o ai, Kacai Muithla mah patuk ih lok baktiah ni a thuih o; Muithla ih hmuennawk to Muithla lok hoiah a thuih o.
which things we also expound, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Holy Spirit, interpreting spiritual things to spiritual people.
14 Toe taksa ah kaom kami mah loe Sithaw Muithla ih hmuennawk to talawk thai ai: to hmuennawk loe anih han amthuhaih ah ni oh: Muithla bang panoek thaihaih hmuennawk ah oh pongah, anih mah panoek thai ai.
Now a soulish man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; indeed, he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 Toe Muithla kami loe to hmuennawk boih pathlaeng moe panoek thaih, toe anih loe mi mah doeh panoek thai ai.
But he who is spiritual evaluates everything, while not being himself subject to anyone's judgment.
16 Anih patuk thai hanah, Angraeng poekhaih panoek thaih mi maw kaom? Toe aicae loe Kri poekhaih to a tawnh o.
For “who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
