1 ১ যেতিয়া আগ্ৰিপ্পই পৌলক নিজৰ পক্ষত কথা কবলৈ অনুমতি দিলে, তেতিয়া পৌলে হাত মেলি নিজৰ পক্ষে উত্তৰ দিব ধৰিলে।
Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretching forth his hand, thus made his defence,
2 ২ তেওঁ ক’লে, “হে ৰজা আগ্ৰিপ্প, ইহুদী সকলে মোৰ বিষয়ে যি অভিযোগ দিছে; সেই বিষয়ে আজি আপোনাৰ সন্মুখত আত্মপক্ষ সমর্থন কৰিবলৈ পাই নিজকে মই ধন্য মানিছো৷
"O king Agrippa, I think myself happy, that I am this day to make my defence before thee, concerning all the things which I am accused of by the Jews:
3 ৩ ইহুদী সকলৰ মাজত বিশেষকৈ যিবোৰ নীতি-নিয়ম আৰু বাদ-বিচাৰ আছে, সেই সকলোবোৰৰ বিষয়ে আপোনাৰ জ্ঞান আছে; সেই বাবেই বিনয় কৰোঁ আপুনি যেন ধৈর্য ধৰি মোৰ কথাবোৰ শুনে৷
especially as thou art acquainted with all the customs and questions which are among the Jews; wherefore I intreat thee to hear me patiently.
4 ৪ মোৰ জীৱন-যাপনৰ বিষয়ে ডেকা কালৰে পৰা নিজ জাতিৰ লোক সকলে আৰু যিৰূচালেমত থকা সকলো ইহুদী লোকে জানে৷
My manner of life then from my youth, as it has been from the beginning among my own nation at Jerusalem, all the Jews are acquainted with,
5 ৫ ইয়াৰ উপৰি তেখেত সকলে ইয়াকো জানে যে, মই ফৰীচী হৈয়ো কিদৰে আমাৰ ধর্মৰ সকলো কঠিন নিয়মবোৰ পালন কৰি প্ৰকৃত ফৰীচী এজনৰ দৰেই জীৱন-যাপন কৰিছিলোঁ৷ এই বিষয়ে তেখেত সকলে সাক্ষীও দিব পাৰে৷
knowing me before, (if they would testify it, ) that according to the strictest sect of our religion I lived a pharisee.
6 ৬ ঈশ্ৱৰে আমাৰ পূর্বপুৰুষ সকলৰ আগত যি প্ৰতিজ্ঞা কৰিছিল, সেইবোৰ পূর্ণ হোৱাৰ বাবেহে মই এতিয়া সোধ-বিচাৰত পৰি, থিয় হৈ আছোঁ ৷
And now I stand arraigned for the hope of the promise which was made by God to our fathers:
7 ৭ সেই প্ৰতিজ্ঞাৰ ফল পাবলৈ আমাৰ বাৰটা জাতিয়ে, ৰাতিয়ে-দিনে উৎসাহেৰে আৰাধনা কৰি, আশা কৰি আছে। সেই আশাৰ কাৰণে, হে মহাৰাজ, ইহুদী সকলে মোক অপবাদ দিছে ৷
to which promise our twelve tribes, worshipping continually night and day, hope to attain: concerning which hope, O king Agrippa, I am accused by the Jews.
What! is it judged incredible by you, that God should raise the dead?
I indeed once thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus the Nazarene:
10 ১০ আৰু সেইদৰেই যিৰূচালেমত কৰিছিলোঁ৷ প্ৰধান পুৰোহিতৰ পৰা অধিকাৰ পাই, অনেক পবিত্ৰ লোকক বন্দীশালত থৈছিলোঁ আৰু তেখেত সকলক বধ কৰাৰ সময়ত, মই নিজে সন্মতিও প্ৰকাশ কৰিছিলোঁ৷
which I also did in Jerusalem; and I shut up many of the saints in prison, having received authority for it from the chief priests; and when they were put to death I gave my voice against them.
11 ১১ এনেদৰে মই তেখেত সকলক শাস্তি দি যীচু খ্ৰীষ্টৰ নিন্দা কৰিবলৈ জোৰ কৰিছিলোঁ৷ তেখেত সকলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে ক্ষোভ ইমানেই তীব্ৰ হৈ উঠিছিল যে, তেখেত সকলক তাড়না কৰিবৰ বাবে মই বিদেশৰ চহৰ সমূহলৈকো যাত্ৰা কৰিছিলোঁ৷
And often punishing them in all the synagogues, I compelled them to blaspheme, and being excessively enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.
On which accounts as I was going to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests---at mid-day,
13 ১৩ হে মহাৰাজ, দুপৰীয়া বাটৰ মাজত সূর্যৰ ৰশ্মিতকৈয়ো দীপ্তিমান এটি পোহৰ আকাশৰ পৰা আহি মোৰ আৰু মোৰ লগত যাত্ৰা কৰি থকা লোক সকলৰ চাৰিওফালে প্ৰকাশিত হ’ল৷
O king, as I was on the way thither I saw a light from heaven exceeding the splendor of the sun, shining round about me and those that were going with me.
14 ১৪ তেতিয়া আমি সকলোৱে মাটিত বাগৰি পৰিলো আৰু এনেতে মই ইব্ৰী ভাষাৰে কোৱা এটি বাণী শুনিলোঁ, ‘হে চৌল, হে চৌল, মোক কিয় তাড়না কৰিছা? জোঙত লাথি মৰা তোমালৈ টান’;
And when we were all fallen down to the earth, I heard a voice speaking to me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why dost thou persecute me? It is hard for thee to kick against the goads.
15 ১৫ তেতিয়া মই সুধিলো, ‘হে প্ৰভু, আপুনি কোন?’ তেতিয়া প্ৰভুৱে ক’লে, ‘যি জনক তুমি তাড়না কৰিছা, মই সেই যীচু৷
And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And He said, I am Jesus, whom thou persecutest.
16 ১৬ এতিয়া উঠা, তোমাৰ ভৰিত ভৰ দি থিয় হোৱা; কিয়নো, তুমি যি দর্শনত মোক দেখা পালা আৰু ইয়াৰ পাছত এই মানুহবোৰৰ আৰু অনা-ইহুদী সকলৰ হাতৰ পৰা তোমাক উদ্ধাৰ কৰি যি দর্শনত মই তোমাক দেখা দিম, সেই সকলো বিষয়ৰ প্ৰচাৰক আৰু সাক্ষী হ’বৰ বাবে তোমাক দাস ৰূপে মনোনীত কৰিবলৈ মই দর্শন দিলোঁ;
But rise, and stand on thy feet: for to this end have I appeared unto thee, to appoint thee a minister and a witness both of the things which thou hast seen, and of those for which I shall hereafter appear unto thee:
17 ১৭ আৰু অনা-ইহুদী সকলে যেন মোক বিশ্ৱাস কৰাৰ দ্ৱাৰাই পাপ-মোচন আৰু পবিত্ৰীকৃত হোৱা লোক সকলৰ মাজত ভাগ পায়,
delivering thee from the people and from the Gentiles, to whom I now send thee,
18 ১৮ এই মনোভাৱেৰে তেওঁলোকৰ চকু মুকলি হ’বলৈআৰু অন্ধকাৰৰ পৰা পোহৰলৈ, চয়তানৰ ক্ষমতাৰ অধীনৰ পৰা ঈশ্ৱৰলৈ ঘূৰিবৰ কাৰণে, তেওঁলোকৰ ওচৰলৈ মই তোমাক নিযুক্ত কৰি পঠাওঁ, তাতে তেওঁলোকে ঈশ্বৰৰ পৰা পাপৰ ক্ষমা যেন পায় আৰু মোক বিশ্বাস কৰাৰ যোগেদি মই যেন তেওঁলোকক এই ভাগ দিব পাৰোঁ৷’”
to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan unto God; that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me.
Wherefore, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision:
20 ২০ দম্মেচক আৰু যিৰূচালেমত থকা লোক সকলৰ আগত, পাছত যিহুদীয়া আৰু তাৰ সকলো অঞ্চলৰ লগতে অনা-ইহুদী সকলৰ আগতো মই প্ৰচাৰ কৰিলোঁ, যাতে তেখেত সকলে মন-পালটাই ঈশ্ৱৰলৈ ঘূৰে আৰু মন-পালটনৰ যোগ্য আচৰণ ঈশ্ৱৰৰ সাক্ষাতে কৰে৷
but declared first to those in Damascus and Jerusalem, and through all the country of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, and turn unto God, performing works suitable to repentance.
For these things the Jews seized me in the temple, and attempted to kill me.
22 ২২ এনেতে ঈশ্ৱৰৰ পৰা উপকাৰ পাই, আজিলৈ থিৰে আছোঁ আৰু সকলোৰে সন্মূখত সাক্ষ্য দিছোঁ৷ সেই মহান জনাৰ বিষয়ে ক’বলৈ যাওতে ভাববাদী সকলে আৰু মোচিয়ে যি যি ঘটিব বুলি কৈছিল, সেই বিষয়ৰ বাহিৰে আন একো কথা কোৱা নাই;
But having obtained help of God, I continue until this day, testifying both to small and great, and saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses declared should come to pass; even that the Messiah should suffer,
23 ২৩ আৰু খ্ৰীষ্ট দুখভোগৰ পাত্ৰ হয় বা নহয় আৰু মৃত লোকৰ পুনৰুত্থানত প্ৰথম হৈ নিজ জাতি আৰু অনা-ইহুদী সকললৈ পোহৰ প্ৰকাশ কৰিব বা নকৰিব, ইয়াৰ বিষয়েহে মই সৰু বৰ সকলোৰে আগত ক’লো৷”
and being the first of the resurrection from the dead should bring light to the people and to the Gentiles."
24 ২৪ তেওঁ এইদৰে নিজৰ পক্ষে উত্তৰ দিওঁতে, ফীষ্টে বৰ মাতেৰে ক’লে, “হে পৌল, তুমি বলীয়া হৈছা; সৰহ বিদ্যাই তোমাক বলীয়া কৰিছে৷”
And as he was saying these things in his defence, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself: much learning turns thy brain.
25 ২৫ কিন্তু পৌলে ক’লে, “হে মহামহিম ফীষ্ট, মই বলীয়া হোৱা নাই; সত্য আৰু সুবোধৰ কথাহে কৈছোঁ৷ কিয়নো ৰজায়ো এই বিষয়ে জানে; এই কাৰণেহে মই তেওঁৰ আগত সাহসেৰে কৈছোঁ৷
But he replied, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but I speak the words of truth and of a sound mind.
26 ২৬ কিয়নো ৰজায়ো এই বিষয়ে জানে; এই কাৰণেহে মই তেওঁৰ আগত সাহসেৰে কৈছোঁ৷ মই সুনিশ্চিত যে, এই বিষয়বোৰ প্ৰকাশ্যৰূপে ঘটিছে৷ এইবোৰ লুকুৱাই ৰাখিব নোৱাৰি কাৰণ ইয়াক গোপনে কৰা হোৱা নাই৷
For the king knoweth of these things, to whom also I speak with freedom; because I am persuaded that none of them are unknown to him; for this was not done in a corner.
O king Agrippa, believest thou the prophets?
28 ২৮ তেতিয়া আগ্ৰিপ্পই পৌলক ক’লে, “তুমি মোক খ্ৰীষ্টিয়ান কৰিবলৈ অলপ কথাৰেই মোৰ প্ৰবৃত্তি জন্মাব খুজিছা৷”
I know that thou believest them. Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou almost persuadest me to be a Christian.
29 ২৯ কিন্তু পৌলে ক’লে, “অকল আপুনিয়েই নহয়, যি সকলে আজি মোৰ কথা শুনিছে, সেই সকলোৱে অলপ কথাৰে হওক, বা বহু কথাৰে হওক, এই শিকলিৰ বন্ধনৰ বাহিৰে, সকলোভাৱে যেন মোৰ নিচিনা হয়, ঈশ্ৱৰৰ আগত এই প্ৰার্থনা মই কৰিছোঁ৷”
And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
And when he had said this, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and those that sat with them.
31 ৩১ আতৰ হৈ গৈ পৰষ্পৰে কথা-বাৰ্ত্তা কৰি ক’লে, “এই মানুহ জনে বন্ধন বা প্ৰাণদণ্ডৰ যোগ্য একো কর্ম কৰা নাই৷”
And when they were retired, they spake to each other, saying, this man hath done nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
32 ৩২ তেতিয়া আগ্ৰিপ্পই ফীষ্টক কলে, “এই মানুহ জনে চীজাৰৰ ওচৰত আপীল নকৰা হ’লে মুকলি হব পাৰিলেহেঁতেন৷”
And Agrippa said to Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed to Cesar.
