now therefore, behold, the Lord brings upon them the mighty flood waters of the River: the king of Assyria and all his glory. It will come up over all its channels, and go over all its banks.

| فَإِنَّ الرَّبَّ مُزْمِعٌ أَنْ يُغْرِقَهُمْ بِمِيَاهِ النَّهْرِ الفَيَّاضَةِ، أَيْ مَلِكِ أَشُّورَ بِكُلِّ جَبَرُوتِهِ، فَيَكُونُ (كَنَهْرِ الفُرَاتِ) يَطْغَى جَيَشَانُهُ عَلَى جَدَاوِلِهِ وَيَفِيضُ عَلَى ضِفَافِهِ |

সেই কারণে প্রভু তাদের বিরুদ্ধে নিয়ে আসতে চলেছেন ইউফ্রেটিস নদীর প্রবল প্লাবনকারী জলরাশি—সমস্ত সমারোহের সঙ্গে আসিরীয় রাজাকে। তা তার সমস্ত খালগুলিতে প্রবাহিত হবে, এবং তাদের দুই কুল ছাপিয়ে যাবে।

Darum, siehe, bringt herauf über sie der Herr des Flusses Wasser, die mächtigen und vielen, Aschurs König und all seine Herrlichkeit. Und er kommt herauf über all seine Flußbette und geht über alle seine Ufer.

διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ ἀνάγει κύριος ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ ποταμοῦ τὸ ἰσχυρὸν καὶ τὸ πολύ τὸν βασιλέα τῶν Ἀσσυρίων καὶ τὴν δόξαν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀναβήσεται ἐπὶ πᾶσαν φάραγγα ὑμῶν καὶ περιπατήσει ἐπὶ πᾶν τεῖχος ὑμῶν
