But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people from every quarter.

কিন্তু তেওঁলোকে শুবলৈ যোৱাৰ আগতে নগৰৰ লোকসকলে অৰ্থাৎ চদোমৰ ল’ৰা-বৃদ্ধ আদি কৰি সকলো লোক নগৰৰ চাৰিওফালৰ পৰা আহি ঘৰটো বেৰি ধৰিলেহি।

তাঁরা শুতে যাওয়ার আগে, সদোম নগরের সবদিক থেকে লোকজন এসে—যুবকেরা ও বৃদ্ধেরা—সবাই বাড়িটি ঘিরে ধরল।

उनके सो जाने के पहले, सदोम नगर के पुरुषों ने, जवानों से लेकर बूढ़ों तक, वरन् चारों ओर के सब लोगों ने आकर उस घर को घेर लिया;
इसके पूर्व वे बिछौने पर जाते, नगर के पुरुष, सोदोम के लोगों ने आकर लोत के आवास को घेर लिया, ये सभी युवा एवं वृद्ध नगर के हर एक भाग से आए थे.
