തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ പൂർണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടി അന്വേഷിക്കും എന്നൊരു ഉടമ്പടിയിൽ അവർ ഏർപ്പെട്ടു.
तिथे त्यांनी जिवाभावाने परमेश्वर देवाची सेवा करण्याचा निर्धार व्यक्त केला. त्यांच्या पूर्वजांचाही देव हाच होता.
