San Mateo 28
1 Y LA víspera de Sábado, que amanece para el primer dia de la semana, vino María Magdalena, y la otra María, á ver el sepulcro.
Now on the morning of the Sabbath, when it began to grow light on the first Sabbath, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the sepulcher.
2 Y hé aquí, fué hecho un gran terremoto: porque el ángel del Señor descendiendo del cielo y llegando, habia revuelto la piedra [del sepulcro, ] y estaba sentado sobre ella.
And behold, a great earthquake occurred. For an Angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and as he approached, he rolled back the stone and sat down on it.
3 Y su aspecto era como un relámpago. y su vestido blanco como la nieve.
Now his appearance was like lightning, and his vestment was like snow.
4 Y de miedo de él los guardas se asombraron, y fueron vueltos como muertos.
Then, out of fear of him, the guards were terrified, and they became like dead men.
5 Y respondiendo el ángel, dijo á las mujeres: No temais vosotras; porque yo sé que buscais á Jesus, que fué crucificado.
Then the Angel responded by saying to the women: “Do not be afraid. For I know that you are seeking Jesus, who was crucified.
6 No está aquí, porque ha resucitado como dijo: venid, ved el lugar donde fué puesto el Señor.
He is not here. For he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where the Lord was placed.
7 E id presto, decid á sus discípulos que ha resucitado de los muertos: y hé aquí va delante de vosotros á Galiléa; allí le veréis; hé aquí os [lo] he dicho.
And then, go quickly, and tell his disciples that he has risen. And behold, he will precede you to Galilee. There you shall see him. Lo, I have told you beforehand.”
8 Entónces ellas saliendo del sepulcro con temor y gran gozo, fueron corriendo á dar las nuevas á sus discípulos. Y mientras iban á dar las nuevas á sus discípulos,
And they went out of the tomb quickly, with fear and in great joy, running to announce it to his disciples.
9 Hé aquí Jesus les sale al encuentro diciendo: Salve. Y ellas se llegaron, y abrazaron sus piés, y le adoraron.
And behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Hail.” But they drew near and took hold of his feet, and they adored him.
10 Entónces Jesus les dice: No temais; id, dad las nuevas á mis hermanos, para que vayan á Galiléa, y allá me verán.
Then Jesus said to them: “Do not be afraid. Go, announce it to my brothers, so that they may go to Galilee. There they shall see me.”
11 Y yendo ellas, hé aquí unos de la guardia vinieron á la ciudad, y dieron aviso á los príncipes de los sacerdotes de todas las cosas que habian acontecido.
And when they had departed, behold, some of the guards went into the city, and they reported to the leaders of the priests all that had happened.
12 Y juntados con los ancianos, y habido consejo, dieron mucho dinero á los soldados,
And gathering together with the elders, having taken counsel, they gave an abundant sum of money to the soldiers,
13 Diciendo: Decid: Sus discípulos vinieron de noche, y le hurtaron, durmiendo nosotros.
saying: “Say that his disciples arrived at night and stole him away, while we were sleeping.
14 Y si esto fuere oido del presidente nosotros le persuadirémos, y os harémos seguros.
And if the procurator hears about this, we will persuade him, and we will protect you.”
15 Y ellos, tomado el dinero, hicieron como estaban instruidos: y este dicho fué divulgado entre los Judíos hasta el dia de hoy.
Then, having accepted the money, they did as they were instructed. And this word has been spread among the Jews, even to this day.
16 Mas los once discípulos se fueron á Galiléa, al monte donde Jesus les habia ordenado.
Now the eleven disciples went on to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17 Y como le vieron, le adoraron: mas algunos dudaban.
And, seeing him, they worshipped him, but certain ones doubted.
18 Y llegando Jesus, les habló diciendo: Toda potestad me es dada en el cielo y en la tierra.
And Jesus, drawing near, spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
19 Por tanto id, y doctrinad á todos los Gentiles, bautizándoles en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo:
Therefore, go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
