Salmos 107
1 Celebrad a Yahvé porque es bueno, porque su misericordia permanece para siempre.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.
2 Así digan los rescatados de Yahvé, los que Él redimió de manos del enemigo,
Let the redeemed by the LORD say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the adversary,
3 y a quienes Él ha congregado de las tierras del Oriente y del Occidente, del Norte y del Mediodía.
and gathered out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.
4 Erraban por el desierto, en la soledad, sin hallar camino a una ciudad donde morar.
They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way. They found no city to live in.
5 Sufrían hambre y sed; su alma desfallecía en ellos.
Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 Y clamaron a Yahvé en su angustia, y Él los sacó de sus tribulaciones.
Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 Y los condujo por camino derecho, para que llegasen a una ciudad donde habitar.
He led them also by a straight way, that they might go to a city to live in.
8 Den gracias a Yahvé por su misericordia, y por sus maravillas en favor de los hijos de los hombres.
Let them praise the LORD for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men!
9 Porque sació al alma sedienta, y a la hambrienta colmó de bienes.
For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul with good.
10 Moraban en tinieblas y sombras, cautivos de la miseria y del hierro;
Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron,
11 porque habían resistido a las palabras de Dios y despreciado el consejo del Altísimo.
because they rebelled against the words of God, and condemned the counsel of the Most High.
12 Y Él humilló su corazón con trabajos; sucumbían y no había quien los socorriese.
Therefore he brought down their heart with labour. They fell down, and there was no one to help.
13 Y clamaron a Yahvé en su angustia, y Él los sacó de sus tribulaciones.
Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
14 Y los libró de las tinieblas y de las sombras, y rompió sus cadenas.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke away their chains.
15 Den gracias a Yahvé por su misericordia, y por sus maravillas en favor de los hijos de los hombres;
Let them praise the LORD for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men!
16 porque Él rompió las puertas de bronce, e hizo pedazos los cerrojos de hierro.
For he has broken the gates of bronze, and cut through bars of iron.
17 Estaban enfermos a causa de su iniquidad, y afligidos a causa de sus delitos;
Fools are afflicted because of their disobedience, and because of their iniquities.
18 sintieron náuseas de todo alimento, y llegaron a las puertas de la muerte.
Their soul abhors all kinds of food. They draw near to the gates of death.
19 Y clamaron a Yahvé en su angustia, y Él los sacó de sus tribulaciones.
Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and he saves them out of their distresses.
20 Envió su Palabra para sanarlos y arrancarlos de la perdición.
He sends his word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves.
21 Den gracias a Yahvé por su misericordia, y por sus maravillas en favor de los hijos de los hombres,
Let them praise the LORD for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men!
22 y ofrezcan sacrificios de alabanza, y publiquen con júbilo sus obras.
Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his deeds with singing.
23 Surcaban en naves el mar, traficando sobre las vastas ondas,
Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business in great waters,
24 esos vieron las obras del Señor, y sus maravillas en el piélago.
these see the LORD’s deeds, and his wonders in the deep.
25 Con Su palabra suscitó un viento borrascoso, que levantó las olas del mar;
For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up its waves.
26 subían hasta el cielo y descendían hasta el abismo, su alma desmayaba en medio de sus males.
They mount up to the sky; they go down again to the depths. Their soul melts away because of trouble.
27 Titubeaban y se tambaleaban como ebrios, y les fallaba toda su pericia.
They reel back and forth, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.
28 Y clamaron a Yahvé en su angustia, y Él los sacó de sus tribulaciones.
Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distress.
29 Tornó el huracán en suave brisa, y las ondas del mar callaron.
He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still.
30 Y se alegraron de que callasen, y los condujo al puerto deseado.
Then they are glad because it is calm, so he brings them to their desired haven.
31 Den gracias a Yahvé por su misericordia, y por sus maravillas en favor de los hijos de los hombres.
Let them praise the LORD for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds for the children of men!
32 Celébrenlo en la asamblea del pueblo, y en la reunión de los ancianos, cántenle.
Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders.
33 Él convirtió los ríos en desierto, y los manantiales en árida tierra,
He turns rivers into a desert, water springs into a thirsty ground,
34 el suelo fructífero en un salobral, por la malicia de sus moradores.
and a fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.
35 Él mismo ha convertido el desierto en lago y la tierra árida en manantiales,
He turns a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into water springs.
36 allí coloca a los hambrientos, y fundan una ciudad para habitarla.
There he makes the hungry live, that they may prepare a city to live in,
37 Siembran los campos y plantan viñas, y obtienen de ellos los frutos.
sow fields, plant vineyards, and reap the fruits of increase.
38 Bendecidos por Él se multiplican en gran manera, y sus ganados no disminuyen nunca.
He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly. He doesn’t allow their livestock to decrease.
39 Aunque reducidos a pocos y despreciados, por el peso del infortunio y de la aflicción,
Again, they are diminished and bowed down through oppression, trouble, and sorrow.
40 Aquel que derrama desprecio sobre los príncipes, y los hace errar por desiertos sin huellas,
He pours contempt on princes, and causes them to wander in a trackless waste.
41 ha levantado de la miseria al indigente, y hace las familias numerosas como rebaños.
Yet he lifts the needy out of their affliction, and increases their families like a flock.
42 Lo ven los justos y se alegran, y toda malicia cierra su boca.
The upright will see it, and be glad. All the wicked will shut their mouths.
43 ¿Quién es el sabio que considere estas cosas y comprenda las misericordias del Señor?
Whoever is wise will pay attention to these things. They will consider the loving kindnesses of the LORD.
