Псалми 8

1 Господе, Господе наш! Како је величанствено име Твоје по свој земљи! Подигао си славу своју више небеса.

To the ouercomere, for pressours, the salm of Dauid. Lord, thou art oure Lord; thi name is ful wonderful in al erthe. For thi greet doyng is reisid, aboue heuenes.

2 У устима мале деце и која сисају чиниш себи хвалу насупрот непријатељима својим, да би учинио да замукне непријатељ и немирник.

Of the mouth of yonge children, not spekynge and soukynge mylk, thou madist perfitli heriyng, for thin enemyes; that thou destrie the enemy and avengere.

3 Кад погледам небеса Твоја, дело прста Твојих, месец и звезде, које си Ти поставио;

For Y schal se thin heuenes, the werkis of thi fyngris; the moone and sterris, whiche thou hast foundid.

4 Шта је човек, те га се опомињеш, или син човечји, те га полазиш?

What is a man, that thou art myndeful of hym; ethir the sone of a virgyn, for thou visitist hym?

5 Учинио си га мало мањег од анђела, славом и чашћу венчао си га;

Thou hast maad hym a litil lesse than aungels; thou hast corouned hym with glorie and onour,

6 Поставио си га господарем над делима руку својих, све си метнуо под ноге његове,

and hast ordeyned hym aboue the werkis of thin hondis.

7 Овце и волове све, и дивље звериње,

Thou hast maad suget alle thingis vndur hise feet; alle scheep and oxis, ferthermore and the beestis of the feeld;

8 Птице небеске и рибе морске, шта год иде морским путевима.

the briddis of the eir, and the fischis of the see; that passen bi the pathis of the see.

9 Господе, Господе наш! Како је величанствено име Твоје по свој земљи!
