Apocalipse 5

1 E eu vi na [mão] direita do que estava sentado sobre o trono um livro escrito por dentro e por fora, selado com sete selos.

Then I saw at the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a book, with writing inside and out, and sealed with seven seals;

2 E vi um forte anjo, proclamando em alta voz: “Quem é digno de abrir o livro, e soltar seus selos?”

and I saw a mighty angel who was proclaiming in a loud voice – “Who is worthy to open the book and break its seals?”

3 E ninguém no céu, nem na terra podia abrir o livro, nem olhar [para] ele.

But no one either in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the book or look within it.

4 E eu chorei muito, porque ninguém foi achado digno de abrir o livro, nem de o ler, nem olhar [para] ele.

At this I wept long, because no one could be found who was worthy to open the book or look within it.

5 E um dos anciãos me disse: “Não chores; eis que o Leão da tribo de Judá, a raiz de Davi, venceu, para abrir o livro e soltar seus sete selos.”

But one of the elders said to me – “Do not weep. The Lion conquered – the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Scion of David – and can therefore open the book with its seven seals.”

6 E eu olhei, e eis que no meio do trono, e dos quatro animais, e no meio dos anciãos, um Cordeiro que estava como se tivesse sido morto, e tinha sete chifres, e sete olhos, que são os sete espíritos de Deus enviados para toda a terra.

Then, within the space between the throne and the four creatures, and in the midst of the elders, I saw, standing, a Lamb, which seemed to have been sacrificed. It had seven horns and seven eyes. (These eyes are the seven spirits of God, and they are sent into all the world.)

7 E ele veio, e tomou o livro da [mão] direita daquele que estava sentado sobre o trono.

The Lamb came forward; and he has taken the book from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne.

8 E quando ele tomou o livro, os quatro animais, e os vinte e quatro anciãos se prostraram diante do Cordeiro, tendo cada um harpas, e recipientes de ouro cheios de perfumes, que são as orações dos santos.

And, when he had taken the book, the four creatures and the twenty-four elders prostrated themselves before the Lamb, each of them holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense. (These are the prayers of Christ’s people.)

9 E eles cantavam um novo cântico, dizendo: “Digno és tu de tomar o livro, e abrir seus selos; porque foste morto, e com o teu sangue para Deus compraste [pessoas], de toda tribo, língua, povo, e nação;

And they are singing a new song – “You are worthy to take the book and break its seals, for you were sacrificed, and with your blood you did buy for God people of every tribe, and language, and people, and nation,

10 e para nosso Deus tu as fizeste reis e sacerdotes; e reinarão sobre a terra.”

and did make them a kingdom of priests in the service of our God, and they are reigning on the earth.”

11 E eu olhei, e ouvi uma voz de muitos anjos ao redor do trono, e dos animais, e dos anciãos; e o número deles era de centenas de milhões, e milhares de milhares;

Then, in my vision, I heard the voices of many angels round the throne, and of the creatures, and of the elders. In number they were ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands,

12 que diziam em alta voz: “Digno é o Cordeiro que foi morto, de receber poder, riquezas, sabedoria, força, honra, glória, e louvor!”

and they cried in a loud voice – “Worthy is the Lamb that was sacrificed to receive all power, and wealth, and wisdom, and might, and honour, and praise, and blessing.”

13 E eu ouvi toda criatura que está no céu, e na terra, e abaixo da terra, e no mar, e todas as coisas que nelas há, dizendo: “Ao que está sentado sobre o trono, e ao Cordeiro, seja o louvor, a honra, a glória, e o poder, para todo o sempre!” (aiōn g165)

And I heard every created thing in the air, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that is in them crying – “To him who is seated on the throne and to the Lamb be ascribed all blessing, and honour, and praise, and dominion for ever and ever.” (aiōn g165)

14 E os quatro animais diziam: “Amém!” E os anciãos se prostraram e adoraram.

And the four creatures said “Amen,” and the elders prostrated themselves and worshiped.
