Apocalipse 4

1 Depois destas coisas eu olhei, e eis que uma porta estava aberta no céu; e a primeira voz que eu ouvi, como uma trombeta ao falar comigo, disse: “Sobe aqui, e eu te mostrarei as coisas que devem acontecer depois destas.”

After this, in my vision, I saw an open door in the heavens, and the first voice that I heard was like the blast of a trumpet speaking to me. It said – “Come up here and I will show you what must take place.”

2 E logo eu fui [arrebatado] em espírito; e eis que um trono estava posto no céu, e [alguém] sentado sobre o trono.

Immediately after this I fell into a trance. There stood a throne in heaven, and on the throne was One seated.

3 E o que estava sentado era de aparência semelhante à pedra jaspe e sárdio; e o arco colorido celeste estava ao redor do trono, de aparência semelhante à esmeralda.

He who was seated on it was in appearance like a jasper and a sardius; and round the throne there was a rainbow of the colour of an emerald.

4 E ao redor do trono [havia] vinte e quatro tronos; e vi sobre os tronos vinte e quatro anciãos vestidos de roupas brancas; e sobre as cabeças deles tinham coroas de ouro.

And round the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and on these I saw twenty-four elders sitting clothed in white robes; and on their heads they had crowns of gold.

5 E do trono saíam relâmpagos, e trovões, e vozes; e sete lâmpadas de fogo ardiam diante do trono, as quais são os sete espíritos de Deus.

Out from the throne come flashes of lightning, cries, and peals of thunder! There are seven torches burning in front of the throne, which are the seven spirits of God;

6 E diante do trono [havia] um mar de vidro, semelhante ao cristal, e no meio do trono, e ao redor do trono, quatro animais cheios de olhos, em frente e atrás.

and in front of the throne is what seemed to be a sea of glass, resembling crystal, while within the space before the throne and round the throne are four creatures full of eyes in front and behind.

7 E o primeiro animal [era] semelhante a um leão, e o segundo animal semelhante a um bezerro, e o terceiro animal tinha o rosto como de homem, e o quarto animal [era] como uma águia voando.

The first creature is like a lion, the second creature like a calf, the third creature has a face like a man’s, and the fourth creature is like an eagle on the wing.

8 E os quatro animais tinham cada um em si seis asas ao redor, e por dentro [eram] cheios de olhos; e não tem repouso de dia nem de noite, dizendo: “Santo, Santo, Santo [é] o Senhor Deus, o Todo-Poderoso, que era, e que é, e que virá.”

These four creatures have each of them six wings, and all round, and within, they are full of eyes; and day and night they never cease to say – “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord, our God, the Almighty, who was, and who is, and who will be.”

9 E quando os animais dão glória, honra, e agradecimento ao que estava sentado sobre o trono, ao que vive para todo o sempre; (aiōn g165)

And, whenever these creatures give praise and honour and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, to him who lives for ever and ever, (aiōn g165)

10 [Então] os vinte e quatro anciãos se prostram diante do que estava sentado sobre o trono, e adoram ao que vive para todo o sempre, e lançam suas coroas diante do trono, dizendo: (aiōn g165)

the twenty-four elders prostrate themselves before him who is seated on the throne, and worship him who lives for ever and ever, and throw down their crowns before the throne, saying – (aiōn g165)

11 “Digno és tu, Senhor, de receberes glória, honra e poder; porque tu criaste todas as coisas, e por causa da tua vontade elas são e foram criadas!”

“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive all praise, and honour, and power, for you did create all things, and at your bidding they came into being and were created.”
