Salmos 57
1 Tem misericórdia de mim, ó Deus, tem misericórdia de mim, porque a minha alma confia em ti; e na sombra das tuas asas me abrigo, até que passem as calamidades.
Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me: for my soul trusts in you: yes, in the shadow of your wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be over.
2 Clamarei ao Deus altíssimo, ao Deus que por mim tudo executa.
I will cry to God most high; to God that performs all things for me.
3 Ele enviará desde os céus, e me salvará do desprezo daquele que procurava devorar-me (Selah) Deus enviará a sua misericórdia e a sua verdade.
He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. (Selah) God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
4 A minha alma está entre leões, e eu estou entre aqueles que estão abrazados, filhos dos homens, cujos dentes são lanças e flechas, e a sua língua espada afiada.
My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
5 Sê exaltado, ó Deus, sobre os céus; seja a tua glória sobre toda a terra.
Be you exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be above all the earth.
6 Armaram uma rede aos meus passos; a minha alma está abatida; cavaram uma cova diante de mim, porém eles mesmos cairam no meio dela (Selah)
They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have dig a pit before me, into the middle whereof they are fallen themselves. (Selah)
7 Preparado está o meu coração, ó Deus, preparado está o meu coração; cantarei, e direi salmos.
My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
8 Desperta, glória minha, desperta, alaude e harpa; eu mesmo despertarei ao romper da alva.
Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
9 Louvar-te-ei, Senhor, entre os povos; eu te cantarei entre as nações.
I will praise you, O Lord, among the people: I will sing to you among the nations.
10 Pois a tua misericórdia é grande até aos céus, e a tua verdade até às nuvens.
For your mercy is great to the heavens, and your truth to the clouds.
11 Sê exaltado, ó Deus, sobre os céus; e seja a tua glória sobre toda a terra.
Be you exalted, O God, above the heavens: let your glory be above all the earth.
