Oséias 3

1 E o Senhor me disse: vai outra vez, ama uma mulher, amada de seu amigo, contudo adúltera, como o Senhor ama os filhos de Israel; mas eles olham para outros deuses, e amam os frascos das uvas.

Then the Lord said to me, ‘Go again, show love to this woman, who is loved by another, who commits adultery. Love her as the Lord loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods, and love the raisin cakes offered to idols.

2 E a comprei para mim por quinze dinheiros de prata, e um homer de cevada, e meio homer de cevada;

So I redeemed her for fifteen pieces of silver and a homer and a lethek of barley.

3 E lhe disse: Tu ficarás para mim muitos dias (não fornicarás, nem serás de outro homem), e também eu ficarei para ti.

And I told her, ‘You must live with me for many days and you must not sleep around or marry another. And I will do the same for you.

4 Porque os filhos de Israel ficarão por muitos dias sem rei, e sem príncipe, e sem sacrifício, e sem estátua, e sem éfode, e sem teraphim.

And like this the Israelites will live for a long time without king and without prince, without sacrifice and without pillar, without ephod and without teraphim.

5 Depois tornarão os filhos de Israel, e buscarão ao Senhor seu Deus, e a David, seu rei; e temerão ao Senhor, e à sua bondade, no fim dos dias.

Yet afterward the Israelites will return, and seek the Lord their God and their Davidic king, and in the days to come they will turn with awe to the Lord and his goodness.
