Ezequiel 6

1 E veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:

2 Filho do homem, dirige o teu rosto para os montes de Israel, e profetiza contra eles.

Son of man, set thy face against the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them!

3 E dirás: Montes de Israel, ouvi a palavra do Senhor Jehovah: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah aos montes, aos outeiros, aos ribeiros e aos vales: Eis que eu, sim eu, trarei a espada sobre vós, e destruirei os vossos altos.

And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Jehovah! Thus saith the Lord Jehovah to the mountains and to the hills, to the plains and to the valleys: Behold, I, even I, will bring the sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places;

4 E serão assolados os vossos altares, e quebradas as vossas imagens do sol, e derribarei os vossos traspassados, diante dos vossos ídolos.

and your altars shall be desolate, and your sun-images shall be broken; and I will cast down your slain before your idols.

5 E porei os cadáveres dos filhos de Israel diante dos seus ídolos; e espalharei os vossos ossos em redor dos vossos altares.

And I will lay the carcasses of the sons of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

6 Em todas as vossas habitações as cidades serão destruídas, e os altos assolados; para que os vossos altares sejam destruídos e assolados, e os vossos ídolos se quebrem e cessem, e as vossas imagens do sol sejam cortadas, e desfeitas as vossas obras.

In all places where ye dwell shall the cities be laid waste, and the high places be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken, and cease, and your sun-images may be cut down, and your works may be destroyed.

7 E os traspassados cairão no meio de vós; para que saibais que eu sou o Senhor.

And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, that ye may know that I am Jehovah.

8 Porém deixarei um resto, para que tenhais alguns que escaparem da espada entre as nações, quando fordes espalhados pelas terras.

Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall have escaped the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.

9 Então se lembrarão de mim os que escaparem de vós entre as nações para onde foram levados em cativeiro; porquanto me quebrantei por causa do seu coração fornicário, que se desviou de mim, e por causa dos seus olhos, que andaram fornicando após os seus ídolos; e terão nojo de si mesmos, por causa das maldades que fizeram em todas as suas abominações.

And they of you that escape shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, when I have broken their whorish heart which departed from me, and their eyes which went lusting after their idols; and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

10 E saberão que eu sou o Senhor, e que não disse debalde que lhes faria este mal.

Then shall they know that I am Jehovah, and that I have not said in vain, that I would do all this evil to them.

11 Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Bate com a mão, e pateia com o teu pé, e dize: Ah, por todas as abominações das maldades da casa de Israel! porque cairão à espada, e de fome, e de peste

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Smite upon thy hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence shall they fall.

12 O que estiver longe morrerá de peste, e o que está perto cairá à espada; e o que ficar de resto e cercado morrerá de fome: e cumprirei o meu furor contra eles.

He that is far off shall die by pestilence, and he that is near shall fall by the sword, and he that remaineth and is preserved shall die by famine. Thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.

13 Então sabereis que eu sou o Senhor, quando estiverem os seus traspassados no meio dos seus ídolos, em redor dos seus altares, em todo o outeiro alto, em todos os cumes dos montes, e debaixo de toda a árvore verde, e debaixo de todo o carvalho espesso, no lugar onde ofereciam perfume de cheiro suave a todos os seus ídolos.

Then shall ye know that I am Jehovah, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, upon all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, in every place where they offered sweet savor to all their idols.

14 E estenderei a minha mão sobre eles, e farei a terra assolada, e mais assolada do que o deserto da banda de Diblath, em todas as suas habitações: e saberão que eu sou o Senhor.

So will I stretch out my hand against them, and make the land desolate; yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
