۱ 1 سرود درجات ای خداوند از عمقها نزد تو فریادبرآوردم.

Out of the depths I have cried to you, Adonai.

۲ 2 ‌ای خداوند! آواز مرابشنو و گوشهای تو به آواز تضرع من ملتفت شود.

Lord, sh'ma ·hear obey· my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.

۳ 3 ‌ای یاه، اگر گناهان را به نظر آوری، کیست‌ای خداوند که به حضور تو بایستد؟

If you, Yah, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?

۴ 4 لیکن مغفرت نزد توست تا از تو بترسند.

But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.

۵ 5 منتظر خداوندهستم. جان من منتظر است و به کلام او امیدوارم.

I wait for Adonai. My soul waits. I hope in his word.

۶ 6 جان من منتظر خداوند است، زیاده از منتظران صبح؛ بلی زیاده از منتظران صبح.

My soul longs for the Lord more than watchmen long for the morning; more than watchmen for the morning.

۷ 7 اسرائیل برای خداوند امیدوار باشند زیرا که رحمت نزدخداوند است و نزد اوست نجات فراوان.

Israel [God prevails], hope in Adonai, for with Adonai there is cheshed ·loving-kindness·. With him is abundant redemption.

۸ 8 و اواسرائیل را فدیه خواهد داد، از جمیع گناهان وی.

He will redeem Israel [God prevails] from all their sins.
