۱ 1 و خداوند موسی را خطاب کرده، گفت:

And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

۲ 2 «بنی‌اسرائیل را امر فرموده، به ایشان بگو: چون شما به زمین کنعان داخل شوید، این است زمینی که به شما به ملکیت خواهد رسید، یعنی زمین کنعان با حدودش.

Command the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them, When, ye, are coming into the land of Canaan, this is the land which shall fall unto you, as an inheritance, even the land of Canaan, by the boundaries thereof.

۳ 3 آنگاه حد جنوبی شما از بیابان سین بر جانب ادوم خواهد بود، و سرحد جنوبی شما از آخر بحرالملح به طرف مشرق خواهد بود.

Ye shall therefore have a south corner, from the desert of Zin, on the side of Edom, —so shall ye have a south boundary, from the end of the salt sea, eastward:

۴ 4 و حد شما از جانب جنوب گردنه عقربیم دور خواهد زد و به سوی سین خواهدگذشت، و انتهای آن به طرف جنوب قادش برنیع خواهد بود، و نزد حصرادار بیرون رفته، تاعصمون خواهد گذشت.

and the boundary shall go round for you from the south towards the cliffs of Akrabbim, then cross over towards Zin, and the extension thereof shall be from the south to Kadesh-barnea, then shall it reach out to Hazar-addar, and cross over towards Azmon;

۵ 5 و این حد از عصمون تاوادی مصر دور زده، انتهایش نزد دریا خواهدبود.

then shall the boundary turn round from Azmon towards the ravine of Egypt, —and the extension thereof shall be towards the sea.

۶ 6 و اما حد غربی. دریای بزرگ حد شماخواهد بود. این است حد غربی شما.

And, for a west boundary, —ye shall have the great sea, even a boundary, this, shall serve you as west boundary.

۷ 7 و حد شمالی شما این باشد، از دریای بزرگ برای خود جبل هور را نشان گیرید.

And, this, shall serve you as a north boundary, —From the great sea, ye shall draw a line for you to Mount Hor:

۸ 8 و از جبل هور تا مدخل حمات را نشان گیرید. و انتهای این حد نزد صدد باشد.

From Mount Hor, ye shall draw a line to the entering in of Hamath, —and the extension of the boundary shall be towards Zedad:

۹ 9 و این حد نزد زفرون بیرون رود و انتهایش نزد حصر عینان باشد، این حدشمالی شما خواهد بود.

then shall the boundary reach out towards Ziphron, and the extension thereof, be to Hazar-enan. This, shall serve you as a north, boundary.

۱۰ 10 و برای حد مشرقی خود از حصر عینان تاشفام را نشان گیرید.

Then shall ye draw for yourselves a line, for an east boundary, —from Hazar-enan towards Shepham;

۱۱ 11 و این حد از شفام تا ربله به طرف شرقی عین برود، پس این حد کشیده شده به‌جانب دریای کنرت به طرف مشرق برسد.

and the boundary shall go down from Shepham towards Riblah, on the east of Ain—then shall the boundary go down and strike on the side of the Sea of Chinnereth, eastward:

۱۲ 12 واین حد تا به اردن برسد و انتهایش نزد بحرالملح باشد. این زمین برحسب حدودش به هر طرف زمین شما خواهد بود.»

then shall the boundary go down towards the Jordan, and the extension thereof be to the salt sea. This shall be your land by the boundaries thereof round about.

۱۳ 13 و موسی بنی‌اسرائیل را امر کرده، گفت: «این است زمینی که شما آن را به قرعه تقسیم خواهید کرد که خداوند امر فرموده است تا به نه سبط و نصف داده شود.

And Moses commanded the sons of Israel saying, —This, is the land, which ye shall inherit by lot, which Yahweh had commanded to be given to the nine tribes and the half tribe.

۱۴ 14 زیرا که سبط بنی روبین برحسب خاندان آبای خود و سبط بنی جادبرحسب خاندان آبای خود، و نصف سبط منسی، نصیب خود را گرفته‌اند.

For the tribe of the sons of the Reubenites by their ancestral house, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, by their ancestral house, have received, and, the half tribe of Manasseh have received, their inheritance:

۱۵ 15 این دو سبط و نصف به آن طرف اردن در مقابل اریحا به‌جانب مشرق به سوی طلوع آفتاب نصیب خود را گرفته‌اند.»

the two tribes, and the half tribe, have received their inheritance—on this side Jordan near Jericho, eastwards, towards sunrise.

۱۶ 16 و خداوند موسی را خطاب کرده، گفت:

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:

۱۷ 17 «این است نامهای کسانی که زمین را برای شماتقسیم خواهند نمود. العازار کاهن و یوشع بن نون.

These, are the names of the men who shall receive for you the land, as an inheritance, Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, son of Nun.

۱۸ 18 و یک سرور را از هر سبط برای تقسیم نمودن زمین بگیرید.

Also, one prince from each tribe, shall ye take to receive the land, as an inheritance.

۱۹ 19 و این است نامهای ایشان. ازسبط یهودا کالیب بن یفنه.

These, therefore, are the names of the men, —For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;

۲۰ 20 و از سبطبنی شمعون شموئیل بن عمیهود.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel son of Ammihud:

۲۱ 21 و از سبطبنیامین الیداد بن کسلون.

For the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;

۲۲ 22 و از سبط بنی دان رئیس بقی ابن یجلی.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Dan, a prince—Bukki, son of Jogli:

۲۳ 23 و از بنی یوسف از سبطبنی منسی رئیس حنیئیل بن ایفود.

For the sons of Joseph, For the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, a prince, —Hanniel son of Ephod;

۲۴ 24 و از سبطبنی افرایم رئیس قموئیل بن شفطان.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, a prince, —Kemuel, son of Shiphtan;

۲۵ 25 و از سبطبنی زبولون رئیس الیصافان بن فرناک.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, a prince, —Elizaphan, son of Parnach;

۲۶ 26 و از سبطبنی یساکار رئیس فلطیئیل بن عزان.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Issachar, a prince, —Paltiel son of Azzan;

۲۷ 27 و از سبطبنی اشیر رئیس اخیهود بن شلومی.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Asher, a prince, —Ahihud son of Shelomi:

۲۸ 28 و از سبطبنی نفتالی رئیس فدهئیل بن عمیهود.»

And, for the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, a prince, —Pedahel, son of Ammihud.

۲۹ 29 اینانندکه خداوند مامور فرمود که ملک را در زمین کنعان برای بنی‌اسرائیل تقسیم نمایند.

These, are they whom Yahweh hath commanded to receive for the sons of Israel their inheritance, in the land of Canaan.
