متّی 24

۱ 1 پس عیسی از هیکل بیرون شده، برفت. و شاگردانش پیش آمدند تا عمارتهای هیکل را بدو نشان دهند.

Leaving the Temple Courts, Jesus was walking away, when his disciples came up to draw his attention to the Temple buildings.

۲ 2 عیسی ایشان را گفت: «آیا همه این چیزها را نمی بینید؟ هرآینه به شمامی گویم در اینجا سنگی بر سنگی گذارده نخواهد شد که به زیر افکنده نشود!»

‘Do you see all these things?’ was his answer. ‘I tell you, not a single stone will be left here on another, which will not be thrown down,’

۳ 3 و چون به کوه زیتون نشسته بود، شاگردانش در خلوت نزدوی آمده، گفتند: «به ما بگو که این امور کی واقع می‌شود و نشان آمدن تو و انقضای عالم چیست.» (aiōn g165)

so, while Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came up to him privately and said, ‘Tell us when this will be, and what will be the sign of your coming, and of the close of the age.’ (aiōn g165)

۴ 4 عیسی در جواب ایشان گفت: «زنهار کسی شما را گمراه نکند!

Jesus replied to them, ‘See that no one leads you astray;

۵ 5 زآنرو که بسا به نام من آمده خواهند گفت که من مسیح هستم و بسیاری را گمراه خواهند کرد.

for, many will take my name, and come saying “I am the Christ,” and will lead many astray.

۶ 6 و جنگها و اخبار جنگها راخواهید شنید. زنهار مضطرب مشوید زیرا که وقوع این همه لازم است، لیکن انتها هنوز نیست.

You will hear of wars and rumours of wars; take care not to be alarmed, for such things must occur; but the end is not yet here.

۷ 7 زیرا قومی با قومی و مملکتی با مملکتی مقاومت خواهند نمود و قحطیها و وباها وزلزله‌ها در جایها پدید آید.

For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

۸ 8 اما همه اینها آغازدردهای زه است.

All this, however, will be but the beginning of the birth pangs!

۹ 9 آنگاه شما را به مصیبت سپرده، خواهند کشت و جمیع امت‌ها بجهت اسم من از شما نفرت کنند.

When that time comes, they will give you up to persecution, and will put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.

۱۰ 10 و در آن زمان، بسیاری لغزش خورده، یکدیگر را تسلیم کنند واز یکدیگر نفرت گیرند.

And then many will fall away, and will betray one another, and hate one another.

۱۱ 11 و بسا انبیای کذبه ظاهر شده، بسیاری را گمراه کنند.

Many false prophets, also, will appear and lead many astray;

۱۲ 12 و بجهت افزونی گناه محبت بسیاری سرد خواهد شد.

and, owing to the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.

۱۳ 13 لیکن هر‌که تا به انتها صبر کند، نجات یابد.

Yet the person who endures to the end will be saved.

۱۴ 14 و به این بشارت ملکوت در تمام عالم موعظه خواهد شد تا بر جمیع امت‌ها شهادتی شود؛ آنگاه انتها خواهد رسید.

This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world as a witness to all nations; and then will come the end.

۱۵ 15 «پس چون مکروه ویرانی را که به زبان دانیال نبی گفته شده است، در مقام مقدس بر پاشده بینید هر‌که خواند دریافت کند

As soon, then, as you see “the Foul Desecration,” mentioned by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy place,’ (the reader must consider what this means)

۱۶ 16 آنگاه هر‌که در یهودیه باشد به کوهستان بگریزد؛

‘then those of you who are in Judea must take refuge in the mountains;

۱۷ 17 وهر‌که بر بام باشد، بجهت برداشتن چیزی از خانه به زیر نیاید؛

and a man on the housetop must not go down to get the things that are in his house;

۱۸ 18 و هر‌که در مزرعه است، بجهت برداشتن رخت خود برنگردد.

nor must one who is on their farm turn back to get his cloak.

۱۹ 19 لیکن وای برآبستنان و شیر دهندگان در آن ایام!

Alas for pregnant women, and for those who are nursing infants in those days!

۲۰ 20 پس دعاکنید تا فرار شما در زمستان یا در سبت نشود،

Pray, too, that your flight may not take place in winter, nor on a Sabbath;

۲۱ 21 زیرا که در آن زمان چنان مصیبت عظیمی ظاهر می‌شود که از ابتدا عالم تا کنون نشده ونخواهد شد!

for that will be a time of great distress, the like of which has not occurred from the beginning of the world down to the present time – no, nor ever will again.

۲۲ 22 و اگر آن ایام کوتاه نشدی، هیچ بشری نجات نیافتی، لیکن بخاطر برگزیدگان، آن روزها کوتاه خواهد شد.

Had not those days been limited, not a single soul would escape; but for the sake of God’s people a limit will be put to them.

۲۳ 23 آنگاه اگر کسی به شما گوید: “اینک مسیح در اینجا یا در آنجا است “باور مکنید،

At that time, if anyone should say to you “Look! Here is the Christ!” or “Here he is!”, do not believe it;

۲۴ 24 زیرا که مسیحیان کاذب و انبیا کذبه ظاهر شده، علامات ومعجزات عظیمه چنان خواهند نمود که اگرممکن بودی برگزیدگان را نیز گمراه کردندی.

for false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will display great signs and marvels, so that, were it possible, even God’s people would be led astray.

۲۵ 25 اینک شما را پیش خبر دادم.

Remember, I have told you beforehand.

۲۶ 26 «پس اگر شما را گویند: اینک درصحراست، بیرون مروید یا آنکه در خلوت است، باور مکنید،

Therefore, if people say to you “He is in the wilderness!”, do not go out there; or “He is in an inner room!”, do not believe it;

۲۷ 27 زیرا همچنان‌که برق ازمشرق ساطع شده، تا به مغرب ظاهر می‌شود، ظهور پسر انسان نیز چنین خواهد شد.

for, just as lightning will start from the east and flash across to the west, so will it be with the coming of the Son of Man.

۲۸ 28 و هرجا که مرداری باشد، کرکسان در آنجا جمع شوند.

Wherever a dead body lies, there will the vultures flock.

۲۹ 29 و فور بعد از مصیبت آن ایام، آفتاب تاریک گردد و ماه نور خود را ندهد و ستارگان ازآسمان فرو ریزند و قوتهای افلاک متزلزل گردد.

Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give her light, the stars will fall from the heavens, and the forces of the heavens will be convulsed.

۳۰ 30 آنگاه علامت پسر انسان در آسمان پدید گرددو در آن وقت، جمیع طوایف زمین سینه زنی کنندو پسر انسان را بینند که بر ابرهای آسمان، با قوت و جلال عظیم می‌آید؛

Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heavens; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn, when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the heavens, with power and great glory;

۳۱ 31 و فرشتگان خود را باصور بلند آواز فرستاده، برگزیدگان او را ازبادهای اربعه از کران تا بکران فلک فراهم خواهندآورد.

and he will send his angels, with a great trumpet, and they will gather his people round him from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

۳۲ 32 «پس از درخت انجیر مثلش را فرا‌گیرید که چون شاخه‌اش نازک شده، برگها می‌آورد، می فهمید که تابستان نزدیک است.

‘Learn the lesson taught by the fig tree. As soon as its branches are full of sap, and it is bursting into leaf, you know that summer is near.

۳۳ 33 همچنین شما نیز چون این همه را بینید، بفهمید که نزدیک بلکه بر در است.

And so may you, as soon as you see all these things, know that he is at your doors.

۳۴ 34 هرآینه به شما می‌گویم تا این همه واقع نشود، این طایفه نخواهد گذشت.

I tell you, even the present generation will not pass away, until all these things have taken place.

۳۵ 35 آسمان و زمین زایل خواهد شد، لیکن سخنان من هرگز زایل نخواهد شد.

The heavens and the earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

۳۶ 36 «اما از آن روز و ساعت هیچ‌کس اطلاع ندارد، حتی ملائکه آسمان جز پدر من و بس.

But about that day and hour, no one knows – not even the angels of heaven, not even the Son – but only the Father himself.

۳۷ 37 لیکن چنانکه ایام نوح بود، ظهور پسر انسان نیزچنان خواهد بود.

For, just as in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.

۳۸ 38 زیرا همچنان‌که در ایام قبل از طوفان می‌خوردند و می‌آشامیدند و نکاح می‌کردند و منکوحه می‌شدند تا روزی که نوح داخل کشتی گشت،

In those days before the flood they went on eating and drinking, marrying and being married, up to the very day on which Noah entered the ark,

۳۹ 39 و نفهمیدند تا طوفان آمده، همه را ببرد، همچنین ظهور پسر انسان نیزخواهد بود.

taking not notice until the flood came and swept them one and all away; and so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.

۴۰ 40 آنگاه دو نفری که در مزرعه‌ای می‌باشند، یکی گرفته و دیگری واگذارده شود.

At that time, of two men on a farm one will be taken and one left;

۴۱ 41 و دو زن که دستاس می‌کنند، یکی گرفته ودیگری رها شود.

of two women grinding with a hand-mill one will be taken and one left.

۴۲ 42 پس بیدار باشید زیرا که نمی دانید در کدام ساعت خداوند شما می‌آید.

Therefore watch; for you cannot be sure on what day your Master is coming.

۴۳ 43 لیکن این را بدانید که اگر صاحب‌خانه می‌دانست در چه پاس از شب دزد می‌آید، بیدارمی ماند و نمی گذاشت که به خانه‌اش نقب زند.

But this you do know, that, had the owner of the house known at what time of night the thief was coming, they would have been on the watch, and would not have allowed their house to be broken into.

۴۴ 44 لهذا شما نیز حاضر باشید، زیرا در ساعتی که گمان نبرید، پسر انسان می‌آید.

Therefore, you must also prepare, since it is just when you are least expecting him that the Son of Man will come.

۴۵ 45 «پس آن غلام امین و دانا کیست که آقایش او را بر اهل خانه خود بگمارد تا ایشان را در وقت معین خوراک دهد؟

Who, then is that trustworthy, careful servant, who has been placed by their master over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?

۴۶ 46 خوشابحال آن غلامی که چون آقایش آید، او را در چنین کار مشغول یابد.

Happy will that servant be whom their master, when he comes home, will find doing this.

۴۷ 47 هرآینه به شما می‌گویم که او را بر تمام مایملک خود خواهد گماشت.

I tell you that their master will put them in charge of the whole of his property.

۴۸ 48 لیکن هرگاه آن غلام شریر با خود گوید که آقای من در‌آمدن تاخیر می‌نماید،

But, should the servant be a bad servant, and say to themselves “My master is a long time in coming,”

۴۹ 49 و شروع کند به زدن همقطاران خود و خوردن و نوشیدن با میگساران،

and begin to beat their fellow servants, and eat and drink with drunkards,

۵۰ 50 هرآینه آقای آن غلام آید، در روزی که منتظرنباشد و در ساعتی که نداند،

that servant’s master will come on a day when they do not expect him, and at an hour of which they are unaware,

۵۱ 51 و او را دو پاره کرده، نصیبش را با ریاکاران قرار دهد در مکانی که گریه و فشار دندان خواهد بود.

and will flog the servant severely, and assign them their place among the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.
