| «زیرا ملکوت آسمان صاحب‌خانه‌ای را ماند که بامدادان بیرون رفت تا عمله بجهت تاکستان خود به مزد بگیرد. | ۱ 1 |
For the kingdom of heaven is like an employer who went out in the early morning to hire labourers for his vineyards.
| پس با عمله، روزی یک دینار قرار داده، ایشان را به تاکستان خود فرستاد. | ۲ 2 |
He agreed with the labourers to pay them the standard daily rate of two silver coins, and sent them into his vineyard.
| و قریب به ساعت سوم بیرون رفته، بعضی دیگر را در بازار بیکار ایستاده دید. | ۳ 3 |
On going out again, about nine o’clock, he saw some others standing in the marketplace, doing nothing.
| ایشان را نیز گفت: “شما هم به تاکستان بروید وآنچه حق شما است به شما می‌دهم.” پس رفتند. | ۴ 4 |
“You also may go into my vineyard,” he said, “and I will pay you what is fair.”
| باز قریب به ساعت ششم و نهم رفته، همچنین کرد. | ۵ 5 |
So they went. Going out again about midday and about three o’clock, he did as before.
| و قریب به ساعت یازدهم رفته، چند نفردیگر بیکار ایستاده یافت. ایشان را گفت: “از بهرچه تمامی روز در اینجا بیکار ایستاده‌اید؟” | ۶ 6 |
When he went out about five, he found some others standing there, and said to them “Why have you been standing here all day long, doing nothing?”
| گفتندش: “هیچ‌کس ما را به مزد نگرفت.” بدیشان گفت: “شما نیز به تاکستان بروید و حق خویش راخواهید یافت.” | ۷ 7 |
“Because no one has hired us,” they answered. “You also may go into my vineyard,” he said.
| و چون وقت شام رسید، صاحب تاکستان به ناظر خود گفت: “مزدوران راطلبیده، از آخرین گرفته تا اولین مزد ایشان را اداکن.” | ۸ 8 |
In the evening the owner of the vineyard said to his steward “Call the labourers, and pay them their wages, beginning with the last, and ending with the first.”
| پس یازده ساعتیان آمده، هر نفری دیناری یافتند. | ۹ 9 |
Now when those who had been hired about five o’clock went up, they received two silver coins each.
| و اولین آمده، گمان بردند که بیشترخواهند یافت. ولی ایشان نیز هر نفری دیناری یافتند. | ۱۰ 10 |
So, when the first went up, they thought that they would receive more, but they also received two silver coins each;
| اما چون گرفتند، به صاحب‌خانه شکایت نموده، | ۱۱ 11 |
at which they began to grumble at their employer.
| گفتند که “این آخرین، یک ساعت کار کردند و ایشان را با ما که متحمل سختی و حرارت روز گردیده‌ایم مساوی ساخته‌ای؟” | ۱۲ 12 |
“These last,” they said, “have done only one hour’s work, and yet you have put them on the same footing with us, who have borne the brunt of the day’s work, and the heat.”
| او در جواب یکی از ایشان گفت: “ای رفیق بر تو ظلمی نکردم. مگر به دیناری با من قرار ندادی؟ | ۱۳ 13 |
“My friend,” was his reply to one of them, “I am not treating you unfairly. Didn’t you agree with me for two silver coins?
| حق خود را گرفته برو. می‌خواهم بدین آخری مثل تو دهم. | ۱۴ 14 |
Take what belongs to you, and go. I choose to give to this last man the same as to you.
| آیا مرا جایز نیست که از مال خود آنچه خواهم بکنم؟ مگر چشم توبد است از آن رو که من نیکو هستم؟” | ۱۵ 15 |
Don’t I have the right to do as I choose with what is mine? Are you envious because I am generous?”
| بنابراین اولین آخرین و آخرین اولین خواهند شد، زیراخوانده‌شدگان بسیارند و برگزیدگان کم.» | ۱۶ 16 |
So those who are last will be first, and the first last.’
| و چون عیسی به اورشلیم می‌رفت، دوازده شاگرد خود را در اثنای راه به خلوت طلبیده بدیشان گفت: | ۱۷ 17 |
When Jesus was on the point of going up to Jerusalem, he gathered the twelve disciples round him by themselves, and said to them as they were on their way,
| «اینک به سوی اورشلیم می‌رویم و پسر انسان به روسای کهنه و کاتبان تسلیم کرده خواهد شد و حکم قتل او را خواهندداد، | ۱۸ 18 |
‘Listen! We are going up to Jerusalem; and there the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and teachers of the Law, and they will condemn him to death,
| و او را به امت‌ها خواهند سپرد تا او رااستهزا کنند و تازیانه زنند و مصلوب نمایند و درروز سوم خواهد برخاست.» | ۱۹ 19 |
and give him up to the Gentiles for them to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify; and on the third day he will rise.’
| آنگاه مادر دو پسر زبدی با پسران خود نزدوی آمده و پرستش نموده، از او چیزی درخواست کرد. | ۲۰ 20 |
Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to him with her sons, bowing to the ground, and begging a favour.
| بدو گفت: «چه خواهش داری؟» گفت: «بفرما تا این دو پسر من در ملکوت تو، یکی بر دست راست و دیگری بر دست چپ تو بنشینند.» | ۲۱ 21 |
‘What is it that you want?’ he asked. ‘I want you to say,’ she replied, ‘that in your kingdom these two sons of mine may sit, one on your right, and the other on your left.’
| عیسی در جواب گفت: «نمی دانید چه می‌خواهید. آیا می‌توانید از آن کاسه‌ای که من می‌نوشم، بنوشید و تعمیدی را که من می‌یابم، بیابید؟» بدو گفتند: «می‌توانیم.» | ۲۲ 22 |
‘You do not know what you are asking,’ was Jesus’ answer. ‘Can you drink the cup that I am to drink?’ ‘Yes,’ they exclaimed, ‘we can.’
| ایشان را گفت: «البته از کاسه من خواهیدنوشید و تعمیدی را که من می‌یابم، خواهید یافت. لیکن نشستن به‌دست راست و چپ من، از آن من نیست که بدهم، مگر به کسانی که از جانب پدرم برای ایشان مهیا شده است.» | ۲۳ 23 |
‘You will indeed drink my cup,’ he said, ‘but as to a seat at my right and at my left – that is not mine to give, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.’
| اما چون آن ده شاگرد شنیدند، بر آن دوبرادر به دل رنجیدند. | ۲۴ 24 |
On hearing of this, the ten others were very indignant about the two brothers.
| عیسی ایشان را پیش طلبیده، گفت: «آگاه هستید که حکام امت‌ها برایشان سروری می‌کنند و روسا بر ایشان مسلطند. | ۲۵ 25 |
Jesus, however, called the ten to him, and said, ‘The rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them as you know, and their high officials oppress them.
| لیکن در میان شما چنین نخواهد بود، بلکه هرکه در میان شما می‌خواهد بزرگ گردد، خادم شماباشد. | ۲۶ 26 |
Among you it is not so.
| و هرکه می‌خواهد در میان شما مقدم بود، غلام شما باشد. | ۲۷ 27 |
No, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to take the first place among you, must be your slave;
| چنانکه پسر انسان نیامدتا مخدوم شود بلکه تا خدمت کند و جان خود رادر راه بسیاری فدا سازد.» | ۲۸ 28 |
just as the Son of Man came, not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.’
| و هنگامی که از اریحا بیرون می‌رفتند، گروهی بسیار از عقب او می‌آمدند. | ۲۹ 29 |
As they were going out of Jericho, a great crowd followed him.
| که ناگاه دومرد کور کنار راه نشسته، چون شنیدند که عیسی در گذر است، فریاد کرده، گفتند: «خداوندا، پسرداودا، بر ما ترحم کن!» | ۳۰ 30 |
Two blind men who were sitting by the roadside, hearing that Jesus was passing, called out, ‘Take pity on us, Master, Son of David!’
| و هر‌چند خلق ایشان را نهیب می‌دادند که خاموش شوند، بیشتر فریادکنان می‌گفتند: «خداوندا، پسر داودا، بر ما ترحم فرما!» | ۳۱ 31 |
The crowd told them to be quiet; but the men only called out the louder, ‘Take pity on us, Master, Son of David!’
| پس عیسی ایستاده، به آواز بلند گفت: «چه می‌خواهید برای شما کنم؟» | ۳۲ 32 |
Then Jesus stopped and called them. ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ he said.
| به وی گفتند: «خداوندا، اینکه چشمان ما باز‌گردد!» | ۳۳ 33 |
‘Master,’ they replied, ‘we want our eyes to be opened.’
| پس عیسی ترحم نموده، چشمان ایشان را لمس نمودکه در ساعت بینا گشته، از عقب او روانه شدند. | ۳۴ 34 |
So Jesus, moved with compassion, touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight, and followed him.
