لوقا 22

۱ 1 و چون عید فطیر که به فصح معروف است نزدیک شد،

The feast of the unleavened bread, known as the Passover, was near.

۲ 2 روسای کهنه وکاتبان مترصد می‌بودند که چگونه او را به قتل رسانند، زیرا که از قوم ترسیدند.

The chief priest and the teachers of the Law were looking for an opportunity of destroying Jesus, for they were afraid of the people.

۳ 3 اما شیطان در یهودای مسمی به اسخریوطی که از‌جمله آن دوازده بود داخل گشت،

Now Satan took possession of Judas, who was known as Iscariot, and who belonged to the Twelve;

۴ 4 و اورفته با روسای کهنه و سرداران سپاه گفتگو کرد که چگونه او را به ایشان تسلیم کند.

and he went and discussed with the chief priests and officers in charge at the Temple the best way of betraying Jesus to them.

۵ 5 ایشان شادشده با او عهد بستند که نقدی به وی دهند.

They were glad of this, and agreed to pay him.

۶ 6 و اوقبول کرده در صدد فرصتی برآمد که اورا درنهانی از مردم به ایشان تسلیم کند.

So Judas assented, and looked for an opportunity to betray Jesus to them, in the absence of a crowd.

۷ 7 اما چون روز فطیر که در آن می‌بایست فصح را ذبح کنند رسید،

When the day of the Festival of the unleavened bread came, on which the Passover lambs had to be killed,

۸ 8 پطرس و یوحنا را فرستاده، گفت: «بروید و فصح را بجهت ما آماده کنید تابخوریم.»

Jesus sent forward Peter and John, saying to them, ‘Go and make preparations for our eating the Passover.’

۹ 9 به وی گفتند: «در کجا می‌خواهی مهیا کنیم؟»

‘Where do you wish us to make preparations?’ they asked.

۱۰ 10 ایشان را گفت: «اینک هنگامی که داخل شهر شوید، شخصی با سبوی آب به شمابرمی خورد. به خانه‌ای که او درآید، از عقب وی بروید،

‘Listen,’ he answered, ‘when you have reached the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you; follow him into whatever house he enters;

۱۱ 11 و به صاحب‌خانه گویید، استاد تو را می گوید مهمانخانه کجا است تا در آن فصح را باشاگردان خود بخورم.

and you will say to the owner of the house “The teacher says to you – Where is the room where I am to eat the Passover with my disciples?”

۱۲ 12 او بالاخانه‌ای بزرگ ومفروش به شما نشان خواهد داد در آنجا مهیاسازید.»

The man will show you a large upstairs room, set out; there make preparations.’

۱۳ 13 پس رفته چنانکه به ایشان گفته بودیافتند و فصح را آماده کردند.

So Peter and John went on, and found everything just as Jesus had told them, and they prepared the Passover.

۱۴ 14 و چون وقت رسید با دوازده رسول بنشست.

When the time came, Jesus took his place at the table, and the apostles with him.

۱۵ 15 و به ایشان گفت: «اشتیاق بی‌نهایت داشتم که پیش از زحمت دیدنم، این فصح را باشما بخورم.

‘I have most earnestly wished,’ he said, ‘to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.

۱۶ 16 زیرا به شما می‌گویم از این دیگرنمی خورم تا وقتی که در ملکوت خدا تمام شود.»

For I tell you that I will not eat it again, until it has had its fulfilment in the kingdom of God.’

۱۷ 17 پس پیاله‌ای گرفته، شکر نمود و گفت: «این رابگیرید و در میان خود تقسیم کنید.

Then, on receiving a cup, after saying the thanksgiving, he said, ‘Take this and share it among you.

۱۸ 18 زیرا به شما می‌گویم که تا ملکوت خدا نیاید، از میوه مودیگر نخواهم نوشید.»

For I tell you that I will not, after today, drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God has come.’

۱۹ 19 و نان را گرفته، شکرنمود و پاره کرده، به ایشان داد و گفت: «این است جسد من که برای شما داده می‌شود، این را به یادمن به‌جا آرید.»

Then Jesus took some bread, and, after saying the thanksgiving, broke it and gave to them, with the words, ‘This is my body.

۲۰ 20 و همچنین بعد از شام پیاله راگرفت و گفت: «این پیاله عهد جدید است در خون من که برای شما ریخته می‌شود.

۲۱ 21 لیکن اینک دست آن کسی‌که مرا تسلیم می‌کند با من در سفره است.

Yet see! The hand of the man who is betraying me is beside me on the table!

۲۲ 22 زیرا که پسر انسان برحسب آنچه مقدراست، می‌رود لیکن وای بر آن کسی‌که او را تسلیم کند.»

True, the Son of Man is passing, by the way ordained for him, yet alas for that man by whom he is being betrayed!’

۲۳ 23 آنگاه از یکدیگر شروع کردند به پرسیدن که کدام‌یک از ایشان باشد که این کار بکند؟

Then they began questioning one another which of them it could be who was going to do this.

۲۴ 24 و در میان ایشان نزاعی نیز افتاد که کدام‌یک ازایشان بزرگتر می‌باشد؟

And a dispute arose among them as to which of them was to be regarded as the greatest.

۲۵ 25 آنگاه به ایشان گفت: «سلاطین امت‌ها بر ایشان سروری می‌کنند وحکام خود را ولی‌نعمت می‌خوانند.

Jesus, however, said, ‘The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their oppressors are styled “Benefactors.”

۲۶ 26 لیکن شماچنین مباشید، بلکه بزرگتر از شما مثل کوچکترباشد و پیشوا چون خادم.

But with you it must not be so. No, let the greatest among you become like the youngest, and him who leads like him who serves.

۲۷ 27 زیرا کدام‌یک بزرگتراست آنکه به غذا نشیند یا آنکه خدمت کند آیانیست آنکه نشسته است؟ لیکن من در میان شماچون خادم هستم.

Which is the greater – the master at the table or his servant? Is not it the master at the table? Yet I myself am among you as one who serves.

۲۸ 28 و شما کسانی می‌باشید که در امتحانهای من با من به‌سر بردید.

You are the men who have stood by me in my trials;

۲۹ 29 و من ملکوتی برای شما قرار می‌دهم چنانکه پدرم برای من مقرر فرمود.

and, just as my Father has assigned me a kingdom, I assign you places,

۳۰ 30 تا در ملکوت من از خوان من بخورید و بنوشید و بر کرسیها نشسته بردوازده سبط اسرائیل داوری کنید.»

so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and be seated on twelve thrones as judges of the twelve tribes of Israel.

۳۱ 31 پس خداوند گفت: «ای شمعون، ای شمعون، اینک شیطان خواست شما را چون گندم غربال کند،

Simon! Simon! listen. Satan demanded leave to sift you all like wheat,

۳۲ 32 لیکن من برای تو دعا کردم تاایمانت تلف نشود و هنگامی که تو بازگشت کنی برادران خود را استوار نما.»

but I prayed for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. And you, when you have returned to me, are to strengthen the others.’

۳۳ 33 به وی گفت: «ای خداوند حاضرم که با تو بروم حتی در زندان و درموت.»

‘Master,’ said Peter, ‘with you I am ready to go both to prison and to death.’

۳۴ 34 گفت: «تو را می‌گویم‌ای پطرس امروزخروس بانگ نزده باشد که سه مرتبه انکار خواهی کرد که مرا نمی شناسی.»

‘I tell you, Peter,’ replied Jesus, ‘the cock will not crow today until you have disowned all knowledge of me three times.’

۳۵ 35 و به ایشان گفت: «هنگامی که شما را بی‌کیسه و توشه‌دان و کفش فرستادم به هیچ‌چیز محتاج شدید؟» گفتند هیچ.

Then he said to them all, ‘When I sent you out as my messengers, without either purse, or bag, or sandals, were you in need of anything?’ ‘No; nothing,’ they answered.

۳۶ 36 پس به ایشان گفت: «لیکن الان هر‌که کیسه دارد، آن را بردارد و همچنین توشه‌دان را و کسی‌که شمشیر ندارد جامه خود را فروخته آن رابخرد.

‘Now, however,’ he said, ‘he who has a purse must take it and his bag as well; and he who has not must sell his cloak and buy a sword.

۳۷ 37 زیرا به شما می‌گویم که این نوشته در من می‌باید به انجام رسید، یعنی با گناهکاران محسوب شد زیرا هر‌چه در خصوص من است، انقضا دارد.

For, I tell you, that passage of scripture must be fulfilled in me, which says – “He was counted among the godless”; indeed all that refers to me is finding its fulfilment.’

۳۸ 38 گفتند: «ای خداوند اینک دوشمشیر.» به ایشان گفت: «کافی است.»

‘Master,’ they exclaimed, ‘look, here are two swords!’ ‘Enough!’ said Jesus.

۳۹ 39 و برحسب عادت بیرون شده به کوه زیتون رفت و شاگردانش از عقب او رفتند.

Jesus then went out, and made his way as usual to the Mount of Olives, followed by his disciples.

۴۰ 40 و چون به آن موضع رسید، به ایشان گفت: «دعا کنید تا درامتحان نیفتید.»

And, when he reached the spot, he said to them, ‘Pray that you may not fall into temptation.’

۴۱ 41 و او از ایشان به مسافت پرتاپ سنگی دور شده، به زانو درآمد و دعا کرده، گفت:

Then he withdrew about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and began to pray.

۴۲ 42 «ای پدر اگر بخواهی این پیاله را از من بگردان، لیکن نه به خواهش من بلکه به اراده تو.»

‘Father,’ he said, ‘if it is your pleasure, spare me this cup; only, not my will but your be done.’

۴۳ 43 وفرشته‌ای از آسمان بر او ظاهر شده او را تقویت می‌نمود.

Presently there appeared to him an angel from heaven, who strengthened him.

۴۴ 44 پس به مجاهده افتاده به سعی بلیغتردعا کرد، چنانکه عرق او مثل قطرات خون بود که بر زمین می‌ریخت.

And, as his anguish became intense, he prayed still more earnestly, while his sweat was like great drops of blood falling on the ground.

۴۵ 45 پس از دعا برخاسته نزدشاگردان خود آمده ایشان را از حزن در خواب یافت.

Then he rose from praying, and came to the disciples and found them sleeping for sorrow.

۴۶ 46 به ایشان گفت: «برای چه در خواب هستید؟ برخاسته دعا کنید تا در امتحان نیفتید.»

‘Why are you asleep?’ he asked them. ‘Rise and pray so that you don’t fall into temptation.’

۴۷ 47 و سخن هنوز بر زبانش بود که ناگاه جمعی آمدند و یکی از آن دوازده که یهودا نام داشت بردیگران سبقت جسته نزد عیسی آمد تا او راببوسد.

While he was still speaking, a crowd appeared in sight, led by the man called Judas, who was one of the Twelve. Judas approached Jesus, to kiss him;

۴۸ 48 و عیسی بدو گفت: «ای یهودا آیا به بوسه پسر انسان را تسلیم می‌کنی؟»

at which Jesus said to him, ‘Judas, is it by a kiss that you betray the Son of Man?’

۴۹ 49 رفقایش چون دیدند که چه می‌شود عرض کردند خداوندابه شمشیر بزنیم.

But when those who were round Jesus saw what was going to happen, they exclaimed, ‘Master, should we use our swords?’

۵۰ 50 و یکی از ایشان، غلام رئیس کهنه را زده، گوش راست او را از تن جدا کرد.

And one of them struck the high priest’s servant and cut off his right ear;

۵۱ 51 عیسی متوجه شده گفت: «تا به این بگذارید.» وگوش او را لمس نموده، شفا داد.

at which Jesus said, ‘Let me at least do this’; and, touching his ear, he healed the wound.

۵۲ 52 پس عیسی به روسای کهنه و سرداران سپاه هیکل و مشایخی که نزد او آمده بودند گفت: «گویا بر دزد با شمشیرها و چوبها بیرون آمدید.

Then, turning to the chief priests and officers in charge at the Temple and the elders, who had come for him, he said, ‘Have you come out, as if after a robber, with swords and clubs?

۵۳ 53 وقتی که هر روزه در هیکل با شما می‌بودم دست بر من دراز نکردید، لیکن این است ساعت شما و قدرت ظلمت.»

When I was with you day after day in the Temple Courts, you did not lay hands on me; but now your time has come, and the power of darkness.’

۵۴ 54 پس او را گرفته بردند و به‌سرای رئیس کهنه آوردند و پطرس از دور از عقب می‌آمد.

Those who had taken Jesus prisoner took him away into the house of the high priest. Peter followed at a distance.

۵۵ 55 و چون در میان ایوان آتش افروخته گردش نشسته بودند، پطرس در میان ایشان بنشست.

But, when they had lit a fire in the centre of the courtyard and had all sat down there, Peter seated himself in the middle of them.

۵۶ 56 آنگاه کنیزکی چون او را در روشنی آتش نشسته دید بر او چشم دوخته گفت: «این شخص هم با او می‌بود.»

Presently a maidservant saw him sitting near the blaze of the fire. She looked carefully at him and said, ‘Why, this man was one of his companions!’

۵۷ 57 او وی را انکار کرده گفت: «ای زن او را نمی شناسم.»

But Peter denied it. ‘I do not know him,’ he replied.

۵۸ 58 بعد از زمانی دیگری او را دیده گفت: «تو از اینها هستی.» پطرس گفت: «ای مرد، من نیستم.»

A little while afterwards someone else – a man – saw him and said, ‘Why, you are one of them!’ ‘No,’ Peter said, ‘I am not.’

۵۹ 59 و چون تخمین یک ساعت گذشت یکی دیگر با تاکیدگفت: «بلاشک این شخص از رفقای او است زیراکه جلیلی هم هست.»

About an hour later another man declared positively, ‘This man also was certainly with him. Why, he is a Galilean!’

۶۰ 60 پطرس گفت: «ای مردنمی دانم چه می‌گویی؟» در همان ساعت که این رامی گفت خروس بانگ زد.

But Peter said, ‘I do not know what you are speaking about.’ Instantly, while he was still speaking, a cock crowed.

۶۱ 61 آنگاه خداوندروگردانیده به پطرس نظر افکند پس پطرس آن کلامی را که خداوند به وی گفته بود به‌خاطرآورد که قبل از بانگ زدن خروس سه مرتبه مراانکار خواهی کرد.

And the Master turned and looked at Peter; and Peter remembered the words that the Master had said to him – ‘Before a cock has crowed today, you will disown me three times’;

۶۲ 62 پس پطرس بیرون رفته زارزار بگریست.

and he went outside and wept bitterly.

۶۳ 63 و کسانی که عیسی را گرفته بودند، او راتازیانه زده استهزا نمودند.

The men who held Jesus kept making sport of him and beating him.

۶۴ 64 و چشم او را بسته طپانچه بر رویش زدند و از وی سوال کرده، گفتند: «نبوت کن که تو را زده است؟»

They blindfolded him and then questioned him. ‘Now play the prophet,’ they said. ‘Who was it that struck you?’

۶۵ 65 و بسیارکفر دیگر به وی گفتند.

And they heaped many other insults on him.

۶۶ 66 و چون روز شد اهل شورای قوم یعنی روسای کهنه و کاتبان فراهم آمده در مجلس خوداو را آورده،

At daybreak the assembly of the elders of the people met – both the chief priests and the teachers of the Law – and took Jesus before their High Council.

۶۷ 67 گفتند: «اگر تو مسیح هستی به مابگو: «او به ایشان گفت: «اگر به شما گویم مراتصدیق نخواهید کرد.

‘If you are the Christ,’ they said, ‘tell us so.’ ‘If I tell you,’ replied Jesus, ‘you will not believe me;

۶۸ 68 و اگر از شما سوال کنم جواب نمی دهید و مرا رها نمی کنید.

and, if I question you, you will not answer.

۶۹ 69 لیکن بعداز این پسر انسان به طرف راست قوت خداخواهد نشست.»

But from this hour the Son of Man will be seated on the right hand of God Almighty.’

۷۰ 70 همه گفتند: «پس تو پسر خداهستی؟» او به ایشان گفت: «شما می‌گویید که من هستم.»

‘Are you, then, the Son of God?’ they all asked. ‘It is true,’ answered Jesus, ‘I am.’

۷۱ 71 گفتند: «دیگر ما را چه حاجت به شهادت است، زیرا خود از زبانش شنیدیم.»

At this they exclaimed, ‘Why do we want any more evidence? We have heard it ourselves from his own lips!’
