ମାଥିଉ 10
1 ଇତିମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ବାର ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପାଖକୁ ଡାକି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୁଚି ଆତ୍ମା ଛଡ଼ାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଅଧିକାର ଦେଲେ, ପୁଣି, ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ରୋଗ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ପୀଡ଼ା ସୁସ୍ଥ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅଧିକାର ଦେଲେ।
Calling his twelve Disciples to him, Jesus gave them authority over foul spirits, so that they could drive them out, as well as the power of curing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.
2 ସେହି ଦ୍ୱାଦଶ ପ୍ରେରିତମାନଙ୍କ ନାମ ଏହି, ପ୍ରଥମରେ ଶିମୋନ, ଯାହାକୁ ପିତର ବୋଲି କହନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭାଇ ଆନ୍ଦ୍ରିୟ, ଜେବଦୀଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯାକୁବ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭାଇ ଯୋହନ,
The names of the twelve apostles are these, First Simon, also known as Peter, and his brother Andrew; James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John;
3 ଫିଲିପ୍ପ ଓ ବାର୍ଥଲମୀ, ଥୋମା ଓ କରଗ୍ରାହୀ ମାଥିଉ, ଆଲଫିଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯାକୁବ ଓ ଥଦ୍ଦୀୟ,
Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax-gather; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;
4 କିଣାନୀୟ ଦଳର ଶିମୋନ ଓ ଇଷ୍କାରିୟୋତୀୟ ଯିହୂଦା, ଯେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଶତ୍ରୁ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲା।
Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot – the apostle who betrayed him.
5 ଯୀଶୁ ଏହି ବାର ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, “ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯାଅ ନାହିଁ ଏବଂ ଶମିରୋଣୀୟମାନଙ୍କର କୌଣସି ନଗରରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କର ନାହିଁ,
These twelve Jesus sent out as his messengers, after giving them these instructions – ‘Do not go to the Gentiles, nor enter any Samaritan town,
6 ବରଂ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶର ହଜିଯାଇଥିବା ମେଷମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯାଅ।
but make your way rather to the lost sheep of Israel.
7 ପୁଣି, ଯାଉ ଯାଉ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ସନ୍ନିକଟ, ଏହି କଥା କହି ଘୋଷଣା କର।
On your way proclaim that the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8 ପୀଡ଼ିତମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କର, ମୃତମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଠାଅ, କୁଷ୍ଠରୋଗୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶୁଚି କର, ଭୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କର। ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିନାମୂଲ୍ୟରେ ପାଇଅଛ, ବିନାମୂଲ୍ୟରେ ଦାନ କର।
Cure the sick, raise the dead, make the lepers clean, drive out demons. You have received free of cost, give free of cost.
9 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଗାଞ୍ଜିଆରେ ସୁନା କି ରୂପା କି ତମ୍ବା, ଆଉ ଯାତ୍ରା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଝୋଲି
Do not provide yourselves with gold, or silver, or coins in your purses;
10 କିମ୍ବା ଦୁଇଟି ଅଙ୍ଗରଖା ଅବା ଜୋତା କିମ୍ବା ବାଡ଼ି ଆୟୋଜନ କର ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ ଆପଣା ଆହାରର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ।
not even with a bag for the journey, or a change of clothes, or sandals, or even a staff; for the worker is worth his food.
11 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେକୌଣସି ନଗରରେ କି ଗ୍ରାମରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ, ସେଠାରେ କେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ, ତାହା ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କର, ପୁଣି, ନ ଯିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେଠାରେ ରୁହ।
Whatever town or village you visit, find out who is worthy in that place, and remain there until you leave.
12 ଆଉ ଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ତାହାକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କର;
As you enter the house, greet it.
13 ସେହି ଗୃହ ଯଦି ଯୋଗ୍ୟ, ତେବେ ତାହା ପ୍ରତି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଶାନ୍ତି ବର୍ତ୍ତୁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହା ଯଦି ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ, ତାହାହେଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଶାନ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଫେରିଆସୁ।
Then, if the house is worthy, let your blessing rest on it, but, if it is unworthy, let your blessing return on yourselves.
14 ପୁଣି, ଯେ କେହି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବ ନାହିଁ ଅବା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ କଥା ଶୁଣିବ ନାହିଁ, ସେହି ଗୃହରୁ କିମ୍ବା ସେହି ନଗରରୁ ବାହାରିଯିବା ବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଦଧୂଳି ଝାଡ଼ିଦିଅ।
If no one welcomes you, or listens to what you say, as you leave that house or that town, shake off its dust from your feet.
15 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ବିଚାର ଦିନରେ ସେହି ନଗରର ଦଶା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ସଦୋମ ଓ ଗମୋରା ଦେଶର ଦଶା ସହନୀୟ ହେବ।”
I tell you, the doom of the land of Sodom and Gomorrah will be more bearable in the day of judgment than the doom of that town.
16 “ଦେଖ, ବାଘମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ମେଣ୍ଢାମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଉଅଛି, ଅତଏବ ସର୍ପ ପରି ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ ଓ କପୋତ ପରି ଅହିଂସକ ହୁଅ।
‘Remember, I am sending you out as my messengers like sheep among wolves. So be as wise as snakes, and as blameless as doves.
17 ମାତ୍ର ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସାବଧାନ ହୋଇଥାଅ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଚାରସଭାମାନଙ୍କରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସମାଜଗୃହ ସମୂହରେ କୋରଡ଼ା ମାରିବେ,
Be on your guard against others, for they will betray you to courts of law, and scourge you in their synagogues;
18 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋ ସକାଶେ ଶାସନକର୍ତ୍ତା ଓ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଅଣାଯିବ; ତାହା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଓ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବ।
and you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake so that you may witness for me before them and the nations.
19 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କିପରି ବା କି କଥା କହିବ, ସେ ବିଷୟରେ ଚିନ୍ତିତ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ କଅଣ କହିବ, ତାହା ସେହି ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦିଆଯିବ।
Whenever they betray you, do not be anxious as to how you will speak or what you will say, for what you will say will be given you at the moment;
20 ଯେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବକ୍ତା ନୁହଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତାଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମା ଯେ କି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ତରରେ କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ସେ ବକ୍ତା ଅଟନ୍ତି।
for it will not be you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father that speaks within you.
21 ଭାଇ ଭାଇକୁ ଓ ପିତା ପୁତ୍ରକୁ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଭୋଗ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବେ, ପୁଣି, ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଉଠି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିବେ।
Brother will betray brother to death, and the father his child; and children will turn against their parents, and cause them to be put to death;
22 ଆଉ ମୋହର ନାମ ସକାଶେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଘୃଣିତ ହେବ, ମାତ୍ର ଯେ ଶେଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଧୈର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଧରି ରହିବ, ସେ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ପାଇବ।
and you will be hated by everyone because of me. Yet the person who endures to the end will be saved.
23 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ନଗରରେ ତାଡ଼ନା କରିବେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ଅନ୍ୟ ନଗରକୁ ପଳାଇଯାଅ, କାରଣ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ନଗରଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଭ୍ରମଣ ଶେଷ ନ ହେବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ଆଗମନ କରିବେ।
But, when they persecute you in one town, escape to the next; for, I tell you, you will not have come to the end of the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
24 ଶିଷ୍ୟ ଗୁରୁଠାରୁ କିମ୍ବା ଦାସ କର୍ତ୍ତାଠାରୁ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ନୁହେଁ।
A student is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.
25 ଶିଷ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ଗୁରୁ ଓ ଦାସ ଆପଣା କର୍ତ୍ତା ପରି ହେଲେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ। ସେମାନେ ଯେବେ ଗୃହ କର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କୁ ବାଲ୍ଜିବୂଲ୍ ବୋଲି କହିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ପରିଜନଙ୍କୁ ତ ଆହୁରି ଅଧିକ କହିବେ।”
It is enough for a student to be treated like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household!
26 “ଅତଏବ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ଯାହା ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ନ ହେବ, ଏପରି ଆଚ୍ଛାଦିତ କିଛି ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ଯାହା ଜଣା ନ ଯିବ, ଏପରି ଗୁପ୍ତ କିଛି ନାହିଁ।
Do not, therefore, be afraid of them. There is nothing concealed which will not be revealed, nor anything hidden which will not become known.
27 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯାହା ଅନ୍ଧକାରରେ କହେ, ତାହା ଆଲୋକରେ କୁହ, ପୁଣି, ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଗୋପନରେ ଶୁଣ, ତାହା ଘର ଛାତ ଉପରେ ଘୋଷଣା କର।
What I tell you in the dark, say again in the light; and what is whispered in your ear, proclaim on the housetops.
28 ଆଉ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଶରୀରକୁ ବଧ କରନ୍ତି, କିନ୍ତୁ ଆତ୍ମାକୁ ବଧ କରିପାରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ; ବରଂ ଯେ ଶରୀର ଓ ଆତ୍ମା ଉଭୟକୁ ନର୍କରେ ବିନଷ୍ଟ କରିପାରନ୍ତି, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ହିଁ ଭୟ କର। (Geenna g1067)
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but are unable to kill the soul; rather be afraid of him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
29 ଦୁଇଟି ଘରଚଟିଆ କଅଣ ଗୋଟିଏ ପଇସାରେ ବିକାଯାଆନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ? ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପିତାଙ୍କର ଅନୁମତି ବିନା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ହେଲେ ତଳେ ପଡ଼େ ନାହିଁ;
Are not two sparrows sold for a one copper coin? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s knowledge.
30 କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମସ୍ତକର ସମସ୍ତ କେଶ ହିଁ ଗଣାଯାଇଅଛି।
While as for you, even the hairs of your head are numbered.
31 ଏଣୁ ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅନେକ ଘରଚଟିଆ ଠାରୁ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ।”
Do not, therefore, be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.
32 “ଆଉ, ଯେ କେହି ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ମୋତେ ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରିବ, ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୋହର ସ୍ୱର୍ଗସ୍ଥ ପିତାଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ତାହାକୁ ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରିବି।
Everyone, therefore, who will publicly acknowledge me, I, too, will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven;
33 ମାତ୍ର ଯେ କେହି ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ମୋତେ ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କରିବ, ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୋହର ସ୍ୱର୍ଗସ୍ଥ ପିତାଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ତାହାକୁ ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କରିବି।”
but, if anyone publicly disowns me, I, too, will disown him before my Father who is in heaven.
34 “ମୁଁ ଯେ ପୃଥିବୀରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ଦେବାକୁ ଆସିଅଛି, ଏହା ମନେ କର ନାହିଁ; ଶାନ୍ତି ଦେବାକୁ ନ ଆସି ବରଂ ଖଡ୍ଗ ଦେବାକୁ ଆସିଅଛି।
‘Do not imagine that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have come to bring, not peace, but the sword.
35 କାରଣ ମୁଁ ‘ପିତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ପୁତ୍ରର ଓ ମାତା ସହିତ କନ୍ୟାର ପୁଣି, ଶାଶୁ ସହିତ ବୋହୁର ବିରୋଧ ବଢ଼ାଇବାକୁ ଆସିଅଛି,
For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 ଆଉ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ନିଜ ପରିଜନ ହିଁ ତାହାର ଶତ୍ରୁ ହେବେ।’
A person’s enemies will be the members of their own household.
37 ଯେ ପିତା କି ମାତାକୁ ମୋʼଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରିୟ ଜ୍ଞାନ କରେ, ସେ ମୋହର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ, ପୁଣି, ଯେ ପୁତ୍ର କି କନ୍ୟାକୁ ମୋʼଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ, ସେ ମୋହର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ।
Anyone who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 ଆଉ ଯେ ଆପଣା କ୍ରୁଶ ନେଇ ମୋହର ଅନୁଗମନ ନ କରେ, ସେ ମୋହର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ।
Anyone who does not take their cross and follow in my steps is not worthy of me.
39 ଯେ ଆପଣା ଜୀବନ ବଞ୍ଚାଏ, ସେ ତାହା ହରାଇବ, ଆଉ ଯେ ମୋ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣା ଜୀବନ ହରାଏ, ସେ ତାହା ବଞ୍ଚାଇବ।”
The person who has found their life will lose it, while the person who, for my sake, has lost their life will find it.
40 “ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, ସେ ମୋତେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, ଆଉ ଯେ ମୋତେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, ସେ ମୋହର ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ।
‘Anyone who welcomes you is welcoming me; and anyone who welcomes me is welcoming him who sent me as his messenger.
41 ଯେ ଭାବବାଦୀଙ୍କୁ ଭାବବାଦୀ ବୋଲି ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, ସେ ଭାବବାଦୀଙ୍କ ପୁରସ୍କାର ପାଇବ। ଆଉ ଯେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କୁ ଧାର୍ମିକ ବୋଲି ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, ସେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କ ପୁରସ୍କାର ପାଇବ।
The person who welcomes a prophet, because they are a prophet, will receive a prophet’s reward; and anyone who welcomes a good person, because they are a good person, will receive a good person’s reward.
42 ପୁଣି, ଯେ କେହି ଏହି କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣକୁ ମୋହର ଶିଷ୍ୟ ବୋଲି ଯଦି ଗିନାଏ ଥଣ୍ଡା ପାଣି ମଧ୍ୟ ପିଇବାକୁ ଦେବ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ସେ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଆପଣା ପୁରସ୍କାର ହରାଇବ ନାହିଁ।”
And, if anyone gives but a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because they are a disciple, I tell you that they will assuredly not lose their reward.’
