1 Ku lulo, kutakiwe kutula akendegeeli iti kina kati anyu waleke kutula ukoli ga nung'wi nuikigeeleka kulemigwa kupikiila ilago ni ilongoleku nila kingila mu usupyo nuang'wa Itunda.
Let’s fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.
2 Kuiti katulaa ni nkani nziza kutula usupyo nuang'wa Itunda naza utanantigwe kitaitu anga i Aisraeli nai atulaa nu lwenso, kuiti u lukani nulanso shanga ai lua aiiye awo naza aligulye ze tile kuambinkanigwa u uhuiili nu lwenso.
For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.
3 Ku usese, naza kakondyaa huiila-usese ki mukati ni ku ingila mu usupyo uwo, Anga niukuligitigwa, “Anga nai ndapile ki kuo nilane, Shanga akingila mu usupyo nuane.” Ai uligitilye ili, ga ni iti milimo ihi nai umizipilye ize atula akondeeleka puma u ng'wandyo nua unkumbigulu.
For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 Ku iti wakondyaa kuligitya nkika a kituunga kutula luhiku nula mupungati, “Itunda ai usupilye luhiku nula mupungati mu ihi nai witumile.”
For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, “God rested on the seventh day from all his works;”
5 Hangi wakondyaa ligitya, “Shanga akingila mu usupyo nuane.”
and in this place again, “They will not enter into my rest.”
6 Ku nsoko nanso, puma usupyo nuang'wa Itunda ikili ingi itulyo ku nsoko a ang'wi kingila, hangi puma i Aisraeli idu naza ai igulye nkani ninza kutula usupyo nuakwe shanga ai ingie nsoko a ugila lwijo.
Seeing therefore it remains that some should enter into it, and they to whom the good news was preached before failed to enter in because of disobedience,
he again defines a certain day, “today”, saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”
8 Ku iti anga uYoshua nai uinkiiye u usupyo, Itunda shanga ai uzeeligitya migulya a luhiku lungiiza.
For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.
9 Ku lulo ikili ukoli wikali nula usupyo nai lutanantigwe ku nsoko a antu ang'wa Itunda.
There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
10 Ku iti nu ingila mu usupyo nuang'wa Itunda ga nu ng'wenso mukola wasupyaa kupembelya mu ntendo niakwe, anga Itunda nai witumile mu nuanso.
For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.
11 Ku lulo kutule ni nsula a kingila mu usupyo uwo, iti kina waleke kutula ukoli nuikagwa mu mpyani a upiluki nai itumile.
Let’s therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.
12 Ku ndogoelyo u lukani nulang'wa Itunda lupanga hangi lukete ngulu hangi lukete wingi kukila i mpanga ihi nikete u wigi ku biili. Hangi likinyaa ga nu kupikiila kugalanula u ung'enyi nua nNgwau ng'welu, ni nungo mu ongwe. Hangi nuluhumile kulinga i masigo a nkolo i nsula akwe.
For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13 Kutili nai kiumbilwe ni kipihile mu usu nuang'wa Itunda. Badala akwe, kila i kintu ingi kulu kuulu hangi ng'walyi ku miho a ung'wi naiza ingi kusinja kupumye u ualigwa.
There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.
14 Ze yakilaa kutula nu kuhani nu mukulu nai wingie mi ilunde, uYesu Ng'wana wang'wa Itunda, ku ukamatiku kuambiile u uhuiili nuitu.
Having then a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let’s hold tightly to our confession.
15 Ku nsoko ki agila u kuhani nu mukulu naiza shanga uhumile kuhung'wa i aisa ku nsoko a unyeku nuitu, kuiti nuanso naiza ku nzila yihi watulaa ukugeng'wa anga usese, kwaala nuanso naiza mugila u mulandu.
For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.
16 Ni kupembye ku ukamatiku mi ituntu nila ukulu nua ukende, iti kina kusingiilye ukende nu kulija u ukende nua ku uaiilya matungo na kusiga.
Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.
