1 Und der König sandte aus, und sie versammelten zu ihm alle Ältesten Judahs und Jerusalems.
Then the King sent, and there gathered vnto him all the Elders of Iudah and of Ierusalem.
2 Und der König ging hinauf in das Haus Jehovahs und mit ihm alle Männer Judahs und alle Bewohner Jerusalems, und die Priester und die Propheten und alles Volk, von dem Kleinen bis zu dem Großen, und man las vor ihren Ohren alle Worte des Buches des Bundes, das im Hause Jehovahs gefunden worden.
And the King went vp into the house of the Lord, with all the men of Iudah and all the inhabitants of Ierusalem with him, and the Priests and Prophets, and all the people both small and great: and he reade in their eares all the wordes of the booke of the couenant, which was found in the house of the Lord.
3 Und der König stand an der Säule und schloß den Bund vor Jehovah, daß er Jehovah nachwandeln und Seine Gebote und Seine Zeugnisse und Seine Satzungen von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele halten, und die Worte dieses Bundes, die in diesem Buche geschrieben, bestätigen wollte, und das ganze Volk stand in dem Bund.
And the King stood by the pillar, and made a couenant before the Lord, that they shoulde walke after the Lord, and keepe his commandements, and his testimonies, and his statutes with all their heart, and with all their soule, that they might accomplish the wordes of this couenant written in this booke. And all the people stood to the couenant.
4 Und der König gebot dem Chilkijahu, dem Hohenpriester, und den Priestern zweiter Ordnung und den Hütern der Schwelle, sie sollten herausbringen aus dem Tempel Jehovahs alles Gerät, das für den Baal und für die Aschere und für alles Heer der Himmel gemacht worden war; und er verbrannte sie außerhalb Jerusalems, auf dem Gefilde des Kidron, und ließ die Asche davon nach Beth-El tragen.
Then the King commanded Hilkiah the hie Priest and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the doore, to bring out of ye Temple of the Lord all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the groue, and for all the hoste of heauen, and he burnt them without Ierusalem in the fieldes of Kedron, and caryed the pouder of them into Beth-el.
5 Und er schaffte die Götzenpriester weg, welche die Könige Judahs angestellt hatten, um zu räuchern auf den Opferhöhen in den Städten Judahs und in den Umgebungen Jerusalems, und auch diejenigen, welche räucherten dem Baal, der Sonne und dem Mond und den Sternbildern und all dem Heere der Himmel.
And he put downe the Chemarims, whom the Kings of Iudah had founded to burne incense in the hie places, and in the cities of Iudah, and about Ierusalem, and also them that burnt incense vnto Baal, to the sunne and to the moone, and to the planets, and to all the hoste of heauen.
6 Und er brachte die Aschere hinaus aus dem Hause Jehovahs außerhalb Jerusalems in das Bachtal des Kidron und verbrannte sie im Bachtale Kidrons, und zerstieß sie zu Staub und warf dessen Staub auf die Gräber der Söhne des Volkes.
And he brought out the groue from the Temple of the Lord without Ierusalem vnto the valley of Kedron, and burnt it in the valley Kedron, and stampt it to pouder, and cast the dust thereof vpon the graues of the children of the people.
7 Und er riß ein die Häuser der Buhlknaben, die im Hause Jehovahs waren, woselbst die Weiber Häuser für die Aschere webten.
And hee brake downe the houses of the Sodomites, that were in the house of the Lord, where the women woue hangings for the groue.
8 Und er ließ kommen alle Priester aus den Städten Judahs, und verunreinigte die Opferhöhen, auf denen die Priester geräuchert hatten, von Geba bis Beerscheba, und riß ein die Opferhöhen der Tore, die am Eingang des Tores des Jehoschua, der Obersten der Stadt, links am Tore der Stadt waren.
Also he brought all the priests out of the cities of Iudah, and defiled the hie places where the Priests had burnt incense, euen from Geba to Beer-sheba, and destroyed the hie places of the gates, that were in the entring in of the gate of Ioshua the gouernour of the citie, which was at the left hand of the gate of the citie.
9 Doch durften die Priester der Opferhöhen nicht auf dem Altare Jehovahs in Jerusalem aufopfern, aber sie aßen Ungesäuertes inmitten ihrer Brüder.
Neuerthelesse the Priests of the hie places came not vp to the altar of the Lord in Ierusalem, saue onely they did eate of the vnleauened bread among their brethren.
10 Und er verunreinigte das Thopheth in der Schlucht Ben-Hinnoms, daß kein Mann seinen Sohn und seine Tochter dem Moloch durch das Feuer hindurchgehen ließ.
He defiled also Topheth, which was in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man shoulde make his sonne or his daughter passe through the fire to Molech.
11 Und er schaffte weg die Rosse, welche die Könige Judahs der Sonne gegeben, am Eingang des Hauses Jehovahs bei der Zelle des Nethan-Melech, des Hofbeamten, der in Parwarim war; und die Streitwagen der Sonne verbrannte er mit Feuer.
He put downe also the horses that the Kings of Iudah had giuen to the sunne at the entring in of the house of the Lord, by the chamber of Nethan-melech the eunuche, which was ruler of the suburbes, and burnt the charets of the sunne with fire.
12 Und die Altäre, die auf dem Dache des Söllers des Achas waren, die Judahs Könige gemacht hatten und die Altäre, die Menascheh in den zwei Höfen des Hauses Jehovahs gemacht hatte, riß der König ein und lief von dannen und warf den Staub davon in den Bach Kidron.
And the altars that were on the top of the chamber of Ahaz, which the Kings of Iudah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the Lord did the King breake downe, and hasted thence, and cast the dust of them in the brooke Kedron.
13 Und die Opferhöhen, die vor Jerusalem rechts vom Berge Maschchith waren, die Salomoh, der König Israels, der Astarte, dem Scheusal der Zidonier, und dem Kemosch, dem Scheusal Moabs, und dem Milkom, dem Greuel der Söhne Ammons gebaut hatte, verunreinigte der König.
Moreouer the King defiled the hie places that were before Ierusalem and on the right hand of the mount of corruption (which Salomon the King of Israel had buylt for Ashtoreth the idole of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the idole of the Moabites, and for Milchom the abomination of the children of Ammon)
14 Und die Bildsäulen zerbrach er und hieb die Ascheren um, und füllte ihren Ort mit den Gebeinen von Menschen.
And he brake the images in pieces, and cut downe the groues and filled their places with the bones of men.
15 Und auch den Altar in Bethel, die Opferhöhe, die Jerobeam gemacht, der Sohn Nebats, der Israel sündigen machte, auch diesen Altar und die Opferhöhe riß er ein und verbrannte die Opferhöhe, zerstieß sie zu Staub und verbrannte die Aschere.
Furthermore the altar that was at Beth-el, and the hie place made by Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne, both this altar and also the hie place, brake he downe, and burnt the hie place, and stampt it to powder and burnt the groue.
16 Und Joschijahu wandte sich und sah die Gräber, die dort auf dem Berge waren, und sandte hin und ließ die Gebeine aus den Gräbern nehmen und verbrannte sie auf dem Altare und verunreinigte ihn nach dem Worte Jehovahs, das der Mann Gottes ausgerufen hatte, der diese Worte ausrief.
And as Iosiah turned himselfe, he spied the graues, that were in the mount, and sent and tooke the bones out of the graues, and burnt them vpon the altar and polluted it, according to the word of the Lord, that the man of God proclaimed, which cryed the same wordes.
17 Und er sprach: Was ist das für ein Malzeichen, das ich sehe? Und die Männer der Stadt sprachen zu ihm: Es ist das Grab des Mannes Gottes, der aus Judah gekommen war, und diese Worte, die du getan, über den Altar von Bethel ausgerufen hatte.
Then he sayde, What title is that which I see? And the men of the citie sayd vnto him, It is the sepulchre of the man of God, which came from Iudah, and tolde these things that thou hast done to the altar of Beth-el.
18 Und er sprach: Lasset ihn ruhen, kein Mann rege seine Gebeine an. Und so wurden seine Gebeine gerettet mit den Gebeinen des Propheten, der von Samaria gekommen war.
Then sayde he, Let him alone: let none remooue his bones. So his bones were saued with the bones of the Prophet that came from Samaria.
19 Und Joschijahu tat auch weg alle Häuser der Opferhöhen in den Städten Samariens, welche die Könige Israels gemacht zum Reizen, und er tat ihnen nach all den Taten, die er in Bethel getan.
Iosiah also tooke away all the houses of the hie places, which were in the cities of Samaria, which the Kings of Israel had made to anger the Lord, and did to them according to all the factes that he had done in Beth-el.
20 Und er opferte alle Priester der Opferhöhen, die dort waren, auf den Altären und verbrannte auf denselben die Gebeine von Menschen; und er kehrte nach Jerusalem zurück.
And he sacrificed all the Priests of the hie places, that were there vpon the altars, and burnt mens bones vpon them, and returned to Ierusalem.
21 Und der König gebot allem Volk und sagte: Machet das Passah Jehovah, eurem Gotte, wie im Buche dieses Bundes geschrieben ist.
Then the king commanded all the people, saying, Keepe the passeouer vnto the Lord your God, as it is written in the booke of this couenant.
22 Denn kein solches Passah ist seit den Tagen der Richter, die Israel gerichtet, und in allen Tagen der Könige Israels und der Könige Judahs gemacht worden;
And there was no Passeouer holden like that from the dayes of the Iudges that iudged Israel, nor in all the dayes of the Kinges of Israel, and of the Kings of Iudah.
23 Aber im achtzehnten Jahre des Königs Joschijahu ward dieses Passah dem Jehovah in Jerusalem gehalten.
And in the eightenth yere of King Iosiah was this Passeouer celebrated to the Lord in Ierusalem.
24 Und auch die Geisterbanner und Zeichendeuter und die Theraphim und die Götzen und alle Scheusale, die im Lande Judah und in Jerusalem gesehen wurden, schaffte Joschijahu weg, um die Worte des Gesetzes, geschrieben in dem Buche, das Hilkijahu, der Priester, im Hause Jehovahs gefunden, zu bestätigen.
Iosiah also tooke away them that had familiar spirits, and the soothsayers, and the images, and the idoles, and al the abominations that were espied in the lande of Iudah and in Ierusalem, to performe the wordes of the Lawe, which were written in the booke that Hilkiah the Priest found in the house of the Lord.
25 Und so wie er war vor ihm kein König, der mit seinem ganzen Herzen und mit seiner ganzen Seele und mit seiner ganzen Macht nach dem ganzen Gesetze Moses zu Jehovah zurückgekehrt wäre, und nach ihm stand keiner auf wie er.
Like vnto him was there no King before him, that turned to the Lord with al his heart, and with all his soule, and with all his might according to all the Lawe of Moses, neither after him arose there anie like him.
26 Doch Jehovah wandte Sich nicht zurück von der Glut Seines großen Zorns, womit Sein Zorn entbrannte wider Judah, wegen aller der Reizungen, womit Ihn Menascheh gereizt.
Notwithstanding the Lord turned not from the fiercenesse of his great wrath wherewith he was angrie against Iudah, because of all the prouocatios wherwith Manasseh had prouoked him.
27 Und Jehovah sprach: Auch Judah will Ich wegtun von Meinem Angesicht, wie Ich Israel weggetan habe, und verschmähen diese Stadt Jerusalem, die Ich erwählt, und das Haus, von dem Ich gesagt: Mein Name soll allda sein.
Therefore the Lord saide, I will put Iudah also out of my sight, as I haue put away Israel, and will cast off this citie Ierusalem, which I haue chosen, and the house whereof I said, My name shalbe there.
28 Und die übrige Geschichte Joschijahus und alles, was er tat, ist es nicht geschrieben im Buche der Tagesgeschichte der Könige Judahs?
Concerning the rest of the actes of Iosiah, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?
29 In seinen Tagen zog Pharao Necho, der König von Ägypten, herauf gegen den König von Aschur an den Fluß Phrath. Und der König Joschijahu zog ihm entgegen, aber er tötete ihn in Megiddo, sowie er ihn gesehen.
In his dayes Pharaoh Nechoh King of Egypt went vp against the King of Asshur to the riuer Perath. And King Iosiah went against him, whome when Pharaoh sawe, he slewe him at Megiddo.
30 Und seine Knechte führten ihn tot von Megiddo und brachten ihn nach Jerusalem und begruben ihn in seinem Begräbnis; und das Volk des Landes nahm Jehoachas, den Sohn Joschijahus, und sie salbten ihn und machten ihn zum König an seines Vaters Stelle.
Then his seruants caryed him dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Ierusalem, and buried him in his owne sepulchre. And the people of the lande tooke Iehoahaz the sonne of Iosiah, and anointed him, and made him King in his fathers steade.
31 Jehoachas war dreiundzwanzig Jahre alt, da er König wurde, und regierte drei Monate in Jerusalem, und der Name seiner Mutter war Chamutal, Tochter Jirmejahus aus Libnah.
Iehoahaz was three and twentie yeere olde when he beganne to reigne, and reigned three moneths in Ierusalem. His mothers name also was Hamutal the daughter of Ieremiah of Libnah.
32 Und er tat, was böse war in den Augen Jehovahs nach allem, das seine Väter taten.
And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his fathers had done.
33 Und Pharao Necho band ihn in Riblah im Lande Chamath, daß er nicht König wäre in Jerusalem; und legte eine Geldbuße auf das Land, hundert Talente Silber und ein Talent Gold.
And Pharaoh Nechoh put him in bondes at Riblah in the lande of Hamath, while he reigned in Ierusalem, and put the lande to a tribute of an hundreth talents of siluer, and a talent of golde.
34 Und Pharao Necho machte Eljakim, den Sohn Joschijahus, zum König, statt Joschijahus, seines Vaters, und wandte seinen Namen in Jehojakim um; denn Jehoachas aber nahm er und er kam nach Ägypten und starb allda.
And Pharaoh Nechoh made Eliakim the sonne of Iosiah King in steade of Iosiah his father, and turned his name to Iehoiakim, and tooke Iehoahaz away, which when he came to Egypt, dyed there.
35 Und das Silber und das Gold gab Jehojakim dem Pharao, schätzte aber das Land, um das Silber nach Pharaos Befehl zu geben. Von jedem Mann nach seiner Schätzung trieb er das Silber und das Gold ein vom Volke des Landes, um es Pharao Necho zu geben.
And Iehoiakim gaue the siluer and the golde to Pharaoh, and taxed the land to giue the money, according to the commadement of Pharaoh: he leuyed of euery man of the people of the lande, according to his value, siluer and golde to giue vnto Pharaoh Nechoh.
36 Fünfundzwanzig Jahre war Jehojakim alt als er König wurde und regierte elf Jahre in Jerusalem, und der Name seiner Mutter war Sebudah, Pedajahs Tochter aus Rumah.
Iehoiakim was fiue and twentie yere olde, when he began to reigne, and he reigned eleuen yeeres in Ierusalem. His mothers name also was Zebudah the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah.
37 Und er tat, was böse war in den Augen Jehovahs, nach allem, das seine Väter getan hatten.
And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his fathers had done.
