2 Samuel 9
1 David fragte: Ist etwa noch jemand vorhanden, der vom Hause Sauls übrig geblieben wäre? An dem will ich um Jonathans willen Barmherzigkeit üben.
And Dauid seide, Whether ony man is, that lefte of the hows of Saul, that Y do mercy with hym for Jonathas?
2 Nun war in Sauls Familie ein Beamter, namens Ziba; den rief man vor David. Der König fragte ihn: Bist du Ziba? Er antwortete: Dein Sklave!
Forsothe a seruaunt, Siba bi name, was of the hous of Saul; whom whanne the kyng hadde clepid to hym silf, `the kyng seide to hym, Whethir thou art not Siba? And he answeride, Y am thi seruaunt.
3 Der König fragte: Ist niemand mehr da vom Hause Sauls, daß ich an ihm Barmherzigkeit in der weise Gottes übe? Ziba erwiderte dem König: Es ist noch ein Sohn Jonathans da mit lahmen Füßen.
And the kyng seide, Whether ony man lyueth of the hows of Saul, that Y do with hym the mercy of God? And Siba seide to the kyng, A sone of Jonathas lyueth, feble in the feet.
4 Der König fragte ihn: Wo ist er? Ziba entgegnete dem König: Er befindet sich im Hause Machirs, des Sohnes Ammiels, in Lo-debar.
The kyng seide, Where is he? And Siba seide to the kyng, Lo! he is in the hows of Machir, sone of Amyel, in Lodabar.
5 Da schickte der König David hin und ließ ihn aus Lo-debar aus dem Hause Machirs, des Sohnes Ammiels, holen.
Therfor `Dauid the kyng sente, and took hym fro the hows of Machir, sone of Amyel, fro Lodobar.
6 Als dann Meribaal, der Sohn Jonathans, des Sohnes Sauls, vor David trat, warf er sich aufs Angesicht nieder und huldigte. David rief: Meribaal! Er erwiderte: Hier ist dein Sklave!
Forsothe whanne Myphibosech, the sone of Jonathas, sone of Saul, hadde come to Dauid, he felde in to his face, and worschipide. And Dauid seide, Myphibosech! Which answeride, Y am present, thi seruaunt.
7 David sprach zu ihm: Sei unbesorgt, ich will ja Barmherzigkeit an dir üben um deines Vaters Jonathan willen und will dir das ganze Besitztum deines Großvaters Saul zurückgeben, und du magst jederzeit an meinem Tische speisen!
And Dauid seide to hym, Drede thou not, for Y doynge schal do mersi to thee for Jonathas, thi fadir; and Y schal restore to thee alle the feeldis of Saul, thi fadir, and thou schalt ete breed in my boord euere.
8 Da huldigte er und rief aus: Was ist dein Sklave, daß du dich um einen toten Hund, wie ich einer bin, gekümmert hast?
Which worschipide him, and seide, Who am Y, thi seruaunt, for thou hast biholde on a deed dogge lijk me?
9 Nun rief der König nach Sauls Beamten Ziba und sprach zu ihm: Den ganzen Besitz Sauls und seiner Familie verleihe ich dem Sohne deines Herrn,
Therfor the kyng clepide Siba, the child of Saul; and seide to hym, Y haue youe to the sone of thi lord alle thingis, which euer weren of Saul, and al the hows of hym;
10 und du hast ihm das Land zu bestellen samt deinen Söhnen und deinen Sklaven und hast es einzubringen, so daß der Sohn deines Herrn Speise hat und essen kann; aber Meribal, der Sohn deines Herrn, soll jederzeit an meinem Tische speisen! Ziba besaß fünfzehn Söhne und zwanzig Sklaven.
therfor worche thou the lond to hym, thou, and thi sones, and thi seruauntis, and thou schalt brynge in meetis to the sone of thi lord, that he be fed; forsothe Myphibosech, sone of thi lord, schal ete euer breed on my bord. Sotheli fiftene sones and twenti seruauntis weren to Siba.
11 Da erwiderte Ziba dem Könige: Ganz so, wie mein Herr, der König, seinem Sklaven gebietet, wird dein Sklave thun. So speiste denn Meribaal an Davids Tische wie einer der königlichen Prinzen.
And Siba seyde to the kyng, As thou, my lord kyng, hast comaundid to thi seruaunt, so thi seruaunt schal do; and Myphibosech, as oon of the sones of the kyng, schal ete on thi boord.
12 Meribaal besaß ein Söhnchen, namens Micha. Alles aber, was in Zibas Hause wohnte, war Sklave Meribaals.
Forsothe Myphibosech hadde a litil sone, Mycha bi name; sotheli al the meyne of the hows of Siba seruyde Myphibosech.
13 Meribaal wohnte in Jerusalem, weil er ständig an des Königs Tafel speiste. Er war aber lahm an beiden Füßen.
Forsothe Myphibosech dwellide in Jerusalem; for he eet contynueli of the kingis boord, and was crokid on either foot.
