Lukas 22
1 Der Festtag der Ungesäuerten Brote, den man Paschah heißt, war nahe.
Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the pasch, was at hand.
2 Die Oberpriester und die Schriftgelehrten suchten nach einer passenden Gelegenheit, wie sie Jesus töten könnten; allein sie fürchteten das Volk.
And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put Jesus to death: but they feared the people.
3 Da fuhr Satan in Judas, der Iskariot heißt; er gehörte zu der Zahl der Zwölf.
And Satan entered into Judas, who was surnamed Iscariot, one of the twelve.
4 Er ging hin und verhandelte mit den Oberpriestern und den Hauptleuten, wie er ihn an sie überliefern könnte.
And he went, and discoursed with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might betray him to them.
5 Und diese freuten sich und wurden einig, ihm Geld zu bieten.
And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
6 Er sagte zu und suchte eine günstige Gelegenheit, ihn unauffällig an sie auszuliefern.
And he promised. And he sought opportunity to betray him in the absence of the multitude.
7 Es kam der Tag der Ungesäuerten Brote, an dem man das Osterlamm zu schlachten hatte.
And the day of the unleavened bread came, on which it was necessary that the pasch should be killed.
8 Er sandte Petrus und Johannes mit dem Auftrag fort: "Geht und bereitet uns das Ostermahl, daß wir es essen."
And he sent Peter and John, saying: Go, and prepare for us the pasch, that we may eat.
9 Sie fragten ihn: "Wo willst du, daß wir es bereiten?"
But they said: Where wilt thou that we prepare?
10 Er sprach zu ihnen: "Seht, wenn ihr in die Stadt kommt, wird euch ein Mann mit einem Wasserkrug begegnen. Folgt ihm in das Haus, in das er geht,
And he said to them: Behold, as you go into the city, there shall meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water: follow him into the house where he entereth in.
11 und sagt zu dem Herrn des Hauses: 'Der Meister läßt dich fragen: Wo ist das Gemach, in dem ich mit meinen Jüngern das Ostermahl halten kann?'
And you shall say to the goodman of the house: The master saith to thee, Where is the guest chamber, where I may eat the pasch with my disciples?
12 Er wird euch ein großes Obergemach zeigen, das mit Polstern ausgestattet ist, daselbst bereitet es."
And he will shew you a large dining room, furnished; and there prepare.
13 Sie gingen weg und fanden es so, wie er ihnen gesagt hatte, und sie bereiteten das Ostermahl.
And they going, found as he had said to them, and made ready the pasch.
14 Als dann die Stunde gekommen war, setzte er sich mit den zwölf Aposteln zu Tisch.
And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
15 Er sprach zu ihnen: "Sehnlichst hat es mich danach verlangt, dieses Ostermahl mit euch zu halten, bevor ich leide.
And he said to them: With desire I have desired to eat this pasch with you, before I suffer.
16 Ich sage euch: Ich werde es nicht mehr essen, bis es erfüllt ist im Reiche Gottes."
For I say to you, that from this time I will not eat it, till it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
17 Dann nahm er einen Kelch, dankte und sprach: "Nehmt hin und teilt ihn unter euch!
And having taken the chalice, he gave thanks, and said: Take, and divide it among you:
18 Ich sage euch: Von jetzt an werde ich nicht mehr von dem Gewächs des Weinstocks trinken, bis das Reich Gottes kommt."
For I say to you, that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, till the kingdom of God come.
19 Dann nahm er Brot, dankte, brach es und gab es ihnen mit den Worten: "Das ist mein Leib, der für euch hingegeben wird. Tut dies zu meinem Andenken!"
And taking bread, he gave thanks, and brake; and gave to them, saying: This is my body, which is given for you. Do this for a commemoration of me.
20 Desgleichen nahm er nach dem Mahle auch den Kelch und sprach: "Dies ist der Kelch, der Neue Bund in meinem Blute, das für euch vergossen wird.
In like manner the chalice also, after he had supped, saying: This is the chalice, the new testament in my blood, which shall be shed for you.
21 Doch seht: Die Hand des Verräters ist mit mir auf dem Tische.
But yet behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.
22 Der Menschensohn geht zwar hin, wie es bestimmt ist, doch wehe jenem Menschen, durch den er verraten wird."
And the Son of man indeed goeth, according to that which is determined: but yet, woe to that man by whom he shall be betrayed.
23 Da fragten sie einander, wer aus ihnen der sein könnte, der das tun wolle.
And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.
24 Auch gab es bei ihnen Streit darüber, wer unter ihnen der Größte sei.
And there was also a strife amongst them, which of them should seem to be the greater.
25 Er sprach zu ihnen: "Die Könige der Heidenvölker wollen über sie den Herrn spielen; ihre Mächtigen lassen sich 'Wohltäter' nennen.
And he said to them: The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and they that have power over them, are called beneficent.
26 Bei euch soll es aber nicht so sein; vielmehr der Größte unter euch soll wie der Jüngste, der Vorsteher wie der Diener werden.
But you not so: but he that is the greater among you, let him become as the younger; and he that is the leader, as he that serveth.
27 Wer ist denn größer? Der zu Tische sitzt oder der aufwartet? Doch wohl der, der zu Tische sitzt. Ich aber bin bei euch als Diener.
For which is greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serveth? Is it not he that sitteth at table? But I am in the midst of you, as he that serveth:
28 Ihr habt in meinen Prüfungen mit mir ausgeharrt.
And you are they who have continued with me in my temptations:
29 Und so bestimme ich euch das Reich, so wie mein Vater es mir bestimmt hat.
And I dispose to you, as my Father hath disposed to me, a kingdom;
30 Ihr sollt in meinem Reich an meinem Tisch essen und trinken; ihr sollt auf Thronen sitzen und die zwölf Stämme Israels regieren."
That you may eat and drink at my table, in my kingdom: and may sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
31 Der Herr fuhr fort: "Simon, Simon, siehe, der Satan hat verlangt, daß er euch sieben dürfe wie Weizen.
And the Lord said: Simon, Simon, behold Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32 Ich aber habe für dich gebetet, daß dein Glaube nicht versage. Du hinwieder stärke, wenn du dich wiedergefunden hast, deine Brüder."
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and thou, being once converted, confirm thy brethren.
33 Dieser sprach zu ihm: "Herr, ich bin bereit, mit dir in den Kerker und in den Tod zu gehen."
Who said to him: Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.
34 Doch er entgegnete: "Ich sage dir, Petrus, heute nacht noch, vor dem Hahnenschrei, wirst du es dreimal geleugnet haben, mich zu kennen."
And he said: I say to thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, till thou thrice deniest that thou knowest me. And he said to them:
35 Alsdann sprach er zu ihnen: "Als ich euch aussandte ohne Beutel, ohne Sack und Schuhe, habt ihr an irgend etwas Mangel leiden müssen?" Sie erwiderten: "Nein, an nichts."
When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, did you want anything?
36 "Nun aber", fuhr er fort, "soll der, der einen Beutel hat, ihn an sich nehmen, desgleichen auch, wer einen Sack besitzt; wer aber das nicht hat, verkaufe seinen. Mantel und kaufe sich dafür ein Schwert.
But they said: Nothing. Then said he unto them: But now he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a scrip; and he that hath not, let him sell his coat, and buy a sword.
37 Ich sage euch: An mir muß das Schriftwort erfüllt werden: 'Er wird den Übeltätern zugerechnet.' Mit mir geht es zu Ende".
For I say to you, that this that is written must yet be fulfilled in me: And with the wicked was he reckoned. For the things concerning me have an end.
38 Da sagten sie: "Sieh, Herr, hier sind zwei Schwerter." "Genug hiervon", antwortete er ihnen.
But they said: Lord, behold here are two swords. And he said to them, It is enough.
39 Danach ging er hinaus und begab sich wie gewöhnlich an den Ölberg. Und seine Jünger folgten ihm.
And going out, he went, according to his custom, to the mount of Olives. And his disciples also followed him.
40 Als er dort ankam, sagte er zu ihnen: "Betet, damit ihr nicht in Versuchung fallet."
And when he was come to the place, he said to them: Pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
41 Alsdann ging er von ihnen etwa einen Steinwurf weit hinweg und kniete nieder und betete:
And he was withdrawn away from them a stone’s cast; and kneeling down, he prayed,
42 "Vater, wenn du diesen Kelch an mir vorübergehen lassen wolltest. - Jedoch nicht mein Wille geschehe, sondern der deine."
Saying: Father, if thou wilt, remove this chalice from me: but yet not my will, but thine be done.
43 Da erschien ihm ein Engel vom Himmel und stärkte ihn.
And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony, he prayed the longer.
44 Als er sodann innerlich mit sich rang, betete er noch inniger. Sein Schweiß glich Blutstropfen, die auf die Erde rieselten.
And his sweat became as drops of blood, trickling down upon the ground.
45 Dann stand er vom Gebet auf und ging zu seinen Jüngern und fand sie vor Traurigkeit schlafend.
And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow.
46 Er sprach zu ihnen: "Wie, ihr schlaft? Steht auf und betet, damit ihr nicht in Versuchung fallt."
And he said to them: Why sleep you? arise, pray, lest you enter into temptation.
47 Noch sprach er so, als schon ein Haufe kam, und einer von den Zwölfen, Judas, ging vor ihnen her. Er schritt auf Jesus zu, um ihn zu küssen.
As he was yet speaking, behold a multitude; and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near to Jesus, for to kiss him.
48 Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: "Judas, mit einem Kusse verrätst du den Menschensohn?"
And Jesus said to him: Judas, dost thou betray the Son of man with a kiss?
49 Als die, die bei ihm waren, sahen, was da kommen werde, riefen sie: "Herr, sollen wir mit dem Schwerte dreinschlagen?"
And they that were about him, seeing what would follow, said to him: Lord, shall we strike with the sword?
50 Und einer aus ihnen schlug nach einem Knecht des Hohenpriesters und hieb ihm das rechte Ohr ab.
And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
51 Doch Jesus sprach: "Laßt ab! Nicht weiter!" Alsdann berührte er das Ohr und heilte es.
But Jesus answering, said: Suffer ye thus far. And when he had touched his ear, he healed him.
52 Und Jesus sprach zu den Oberpriestern und zu den Hauptleuten der Tempelwache und zu den Ältesten, die an ihn herangetreten waren: "Wie gegen einen Räuber seid ihr ausgezogen mit Schwertern und mit Prügeln.
And Jesus said to the chief priests, and magistrates of the temple, and the ancients, that were come unto him: Are ye come out, as it were against a thief, with swords and clubs?
53 Tag für Tag war ich bei euch im Tempel, und dennoch habt ihr nicht Hand an mich gelegt. Doch dies ist eure Stunde und die Macht der Finsternis."
When I was daily with you in the temple, you did not stretch forth your hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
54 Sie nahmen ihn gefangen und führten ihn hinweg und brachten ihn in das Haus des Hohenpriesters. Und Petrus folgte ihm von fern.
And apprehending him, they led him to the high priest’s house. But Peter followed afar off.
55 Man hatte mitten in dem Hof ein Feuer angezündet und sich ringsum gesetzt. Auch Petrus setzte sich hinzu.
And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were sitting about it, Peter was in the midst of them.
56 Da sah ihn, wie er im Lichtschein dasaß, eine Magd; sie blickte ihn scharf an und sprach: "Der da war auch bei ihm."
Whom when a certain servant maid had seen sitting at the light, and had earnestly beheld him, she said: This man also was with him.
57 Er leugnete und sprach: "Weib, ich kenne ihn nicht."
But he denied him, saying: Woman, I know him not.
58 Doch kurz darauf erblickte ihn jemand anders und sagte: "Auch du gehörst zu ihnen." Und Petrus sprach: "Nein, Mensch!"
And after a little while, another seeing him, said: Thou also art one of them. But Peter said: O man, I am not.
59 Nach einer Stunde ungefähr versicherte ein anderer: "Wahrhaftig, der war auch bei ihm; er ist ein Galiläer."
And after the space, as it were of one hour, another certain man affirmed, saying: Of a truth, this man was also with him; for he is also a Galilean.
60 "Mensch, ich begreife nicht, was du sagst", sprach Petrus. Da, wie er noch am Reden war, krähte schon ein Hahn.
And Peter said: Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, as he was yet speaking, the cock crew.
61 Jetzt wandte sich der Herr um und blickte Petrus an. Und nun erinnerte sich Petrus an das Wort des Herrn, wie er zu ihm gesagt hatte: "Noch vor dem Hahnenschrei wirst du mich heute dreimal verleugnet haben."
And the Lord turning looked on Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, as he had said: Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
62 Und er ging hinaus und weinte bitterlich.
And Peter going out, wept bitterly.
63 Die Männer, die ihn gefangenhielten, verspotteten und schlugen ihn.
And the men that held him, mocked him, and struck him.
64 Sie verhüllten ihn und fragten: "Sag an, wer ist es, der dich geschlagen hat?"
And they blindfolded him, and smote his face. And they asked him, saying: Prophesy, who is it that struck thee?
65 Sie stießen wider ihn noch viele andere Lästerungen aus.
And blaspheming, many other things they said against him.
66 Als es Tag geworden war, versammelten sich die Ältesten des Volkes, die Oberpriester und die Schriftgelehrten; sie ließen ihn in ihren Sitzungssaal bringen
And as soon as it was day, the ancients of the people, and the chief priests and scribes, came together; and they brought him into their council, saying: If thou be the Christ, tell us.
67 und sprachen: "Wenn du der Christus bist, alsdann sage es uns." Er sprach zu ihnen: "Wenn ich es euch sagen würde, würdet ihr dennoch nicht glauben;
And he saith to them: If I shall tell you, you will not believe me.
68 wenn ich euch fragen würde, so würdet ihr mir keine Antwort geben und mich nicht freilassen.
And if I shall also ask you, you will not answer me, nor let me go.
69 Von nun an aber wird der Menschensohn zur Rechten des allmächtigen Gottes sitzen."
But hereafter the Son of man shall be sitting on the right hand of the power of God.
70 Da fragten alle: "Also bist du der Sohn Gottes?" Er sprach zu ihnen: "Ihr sagt, daß ich es bin."
Then said they all: Art thou then the Son of God? Who said: You say that I am.
71 Und sie erwiderten. "Wozu brauchen wir ein Zeugnis? Wir selbst haben es aus seinem eigenen Munde vernommen."
And they said: What need we any further testimony? for we ourselves have heard it from his own mouth.
