Zacharie 12

1 Prononcé de la parole de l'Éternel sur Israël. Ainsi parle l'Éternel, qui déploya les Cieux et fonda la terre, et forma l'esprit de l'homme au dedans de lui:

The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

2 Voici, je ferai de Jérusalem un seuil qui branle pour tous les peuples d'alentour, et Juda sera aussi compris dans le siège de Jérusalem.

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem.

3 Et en ce jour-là je ferai de Jérusalem une pierre à soulever pour tous les peuples; tous ceux qui la soulèveront, s'y déchireront, et tous les peuples de la terre s'assembleront contre elle.

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

4 En ce jour-là, dit l'Éternel, je frapperai tous les chevaux d'épouvante, et leurs cavaliers du délire, mais j'aurai l'œil ouvert sur la maison de Juda, et je frapperai tous les chevaux des peuples de cécité.

In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.

5 Alors les chefs de Juda diront en leurs cœurs: Notre force est dans les habitants de Jérusalem, par l'Éternel des armées, leur Dieu.

And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem [shall be] my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.

6 En ce jour-là je rendrai les chefs de Juda pareils à un fourneau ardent parmi des arbres, et à une torche ardente parmi des gerbes, et ils dévoreront à droite et à gauche tous les peuples d'alentour, et Jérusalem demeurera assise sur son sol à Jérusalem.

In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, [even] in Jerusalem.

7 Et l'Éternel sera d'abord en aide aux tentes de Juda, afin que la gloire de la maison de David et la gloire des habitants de Jérusalem ne s'élève pas au-dessus de Juda.

The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify [themselves] against Judah.

8 En ce jour-là, l'Éternel protégera les habitants de Jérusalem, et le faible parmi eux en ce jour-là sera comme David, et la maison de David semblable à Dieu, à l'ange de l'Éternel à leur tête.

In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David [shall be] as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

9 Et en ce jour je me mettrai à détruire toutes les nations qui auront marché contre Jérusalem.

And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

10 Alors je verserai sur la maison de David et sur les habitants de Jérusalem l'esprit de grâce et de supplication, et ils regarderont vers moi, celui qu'ils ont transpercé, et le pleureront comme on pleure un unique, et s'affligeront à son sujet, comme on s'afflige au sujet d'un premier-né.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for [his] only [son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for [his] firstborn.

11 En ce jour-là grand sera le deuil à Jérusalem, tel que fut le deuil à Hadadrimmon dans la vallée de Mégiddo.

In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

12 Et tout le pays sera en deuil, chaque famille de son côté: la race de la maison de David de son côté, et leurs femmes de leur côté; la race de la maison de Nathan de son côté, et leurs femmes de leur côté;

And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

13 la race de la maison de Lévi de son côté, et leurs femmes de leur côté; la race de Siméi de son côté, et leurs femmes de leur côté;

The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;

14 toutes les familles restées, chaque race de son côté, et leurs femmes de leur côté.

All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
