Psaumes 87

1 Par les fils de Koré. Psaume. Cantique. Il a fondé sa résidence sur les montagnes saintes.

A Psalm of the sons of Korah; a Song. His foundation is in the holy mountains.

2 L’Eternel aime les portes de Sion, mieux que toutes les demeures de Jacob.

The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

3 On parle magnifiquement de toi, ô ville de Dieu! (Sélah)

Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. (Selah)

4 Je rappelle l’orgueilleuse Egypte et Babel à ceux qui me connaissent. Voici le pays des Philistins, Tyr ainsi que Cousch. "Un tel y est né!"

I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this one was born there.

5 Mais de Sion on dit: "Celui-ci et celui-là y sont nés!" C’Est le Très-Haut qui l’a affermie.

Yea, of Zion it shall be said, This one and that one was born in her; and the Most High himself shall establish her.

6 L’Eternel, en inscrivant les nations, proclame: "Un tel y est né!" (Sélah)

The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the peoples, this one was born there. (Selah)

7 Chanteurs et joueurs d’instruments de s’écrier: "Toutes mes sources de joie sont en toi!"

They that sing as well as they that dance [shall say], All my fountains are in thee.
