The sons of Japheth, Gamer, Magog, Madaim, Jovan, Helisa, Thobel, Mosoch, and Thiras.
6 – Et les fils de Gomer: Ashkenaz, et Diphath, et Togarma.
And the sons of Gamer, Aschanaz, and Riphath, and Thorgama.
7 – Et les fils de Javan: Élisha, et Tarsis, Kittim, et Rodanim.
And the sons of Jovan, Helisa, and Tharsis, the Citians, and Rhodians.
8 Les fils de Cham: Cush, et Mitsraïm, Puth, et Canaan.
And the sons of Cham, Chus, and Mesraim, Phud and Chanaan.
9 – Et les fils de Cush: Seba, et Havila, et Sabta, et Rahma, et Sabteca. – Et les fils de Rahma: Sheba et Dedan.
And the sons of Chus, Saba, and Evila, and Sabatha, and Regma, and Sebethaca: and the sons of Regma, Saba, and Dadan.
10 – Et Cush engendra Nimrod: lui, commença à être puissant sur la terre.
And Chus begot Nebrod: he began to be a mighty hunter on the earth.
11 – Et Mitsraïm engendra les Ludim, et les Anamim, et les Lehabim, et les Naphtukhim,
12 et les Pathrusim, et les Caslukhim (d’où sont sortis les Philistins), et les Caphtorim.
13 – Et Canaan engendra Sidon, son premier-né, et Heth,
14 et le Jébusien, et l’Amoréen, et le Guirgasien,
15 et le Hévien, et l’Arkien, et le Sinien,
16 et l’Arvadien, et le Tsemarien, et le Hamathien.
17 Les fils de Sem: Élam, et Assur, et Arpacshad, et Lud, et Aram, et Uts, et Hul, et Guéther, et Méshec.
The sons of Sem, Aelam, and Assur,
18 – Et Arpacshad engendra Shélakh, et Shélakh engendra Héber.
and Arphaxad, Sala,
19 Et il naquit à Héber deux fils: le nom de l’un fut Péleg, car en ses jours la terre fut partagée; et le nom de son frère fut Joktan.
20 Et Joktan engendra Almodad, et Shéleph, et Hatsarmaveth, et Jérakh,
21 et Hadoram, et Uzal, et Dikla,
22 et Ébal, et Abimaël, et Sheba,
23 et Ophir, et Havila, et Jobab: tous ceux-là sont fils de Joktan.
24 Sem, Arpacshad, Shélakh,
25 Héber, Péleg, Rehu,
Eber, Pheleg, Ragan,
26 Serug, Nakhor, Térakh,
Seruch, Nachor, Tharrha,
27 Abram, qui est Abraham.

28 Les fils d’Abraham: Isaac et Ismaël.
And the sons of Abraam, Isaac, and Ismael.
29 – Ce sont ici leurs générations: le premier-né d’Ismaël, Nebaïoth; et Kédar, et Adbeël, et Mibsam;
And these [are] their generations: the first-born of Ismael, Nabaeoth, and Kedar, Nabdeel, Massam,
30 Mishma, et Duma; Massa, Hadad, et Théma;
Masma, Iduma, Masse, Chondan, Thaeman,
31 Jetur, Naphish, et Kedma: ce sont là les fils d’Ismaël.
Jettur, Naphes, Kedma: these [are] the sons of Ismael.
32 – Et les fils de Ketura, concubine d’Abraham: elle enfanta Zimran, et Jokshan, et Medan, et Madian, et Jishbak, et Shuakh. Et les fils de Jokshan: Sheba et Dedan.
And the sons of Chettura Abraam's concubine: —and she bore him Zembram, Jexan, Madiam, Madam, Sobac, Soe: and the sons of Jexan; Daedan, and Sabai;
33 Et les fils de Madian: Épha, et Épher, et Hénoc, et Abida, et Eldaa. Tous ceux-là étaient fils de Ketura.
and the sons of Madiam; Gephar, and Opher, and Enoch, and Abida, and Eldada; all these [were] the sons of Chettura.
34 Et Abraham engendra Isaac. Les fils d’Isaac: Ésaü et Israël.
And Abraam begot Isaac: and the sons of Isaac [were] Jacob, and Esau.
35 – Les fils d’Ésaü: Éliphaz, Rehuel, et Jehush, et Jahlam, et Coré.
The sons of Esau, Eliphaz, and Raguel, and Jeul, and Jeglom, and Core.
36 – Les fils d’Éliphaz: Théman, et Omar, Tsephi, et Gahtam; Kenaz, et Thimna, et Amalek.
The sons of Eliphaz: Thaeman, and Omar, Sophar, and Gootham, and Kenez, and Thamna, and Amalec.
37 – Les fils de Rehuel: Nakhath, Zérakh, Shamma, et Mizza.
And the sons of Raguel, Naches, Zare, Some, and Moze.
38 Et les fils de Séhir: Lotan, et Shobal, et Tsibhon, et Ana, et Dishon, et Étser, et Dishan.
The sons of Seir, Lotan, Sobal, Sebegon, Ana, Deson, Osar, and Disan.
39 – Et les fils de Lotan: Hori et Homam; et la sœur de Lotan: Thimna.
And the sons of Lotan, Chorri, and Aeman; and the sister of Lotan [was] Thamna.
40 – Les fils de Shobal: Alian, et Manakhath, et Ébal, Shephi, et Onam. – Et les fils de Tsibhon: Aïa et Ana.
The sons of Sobal; Alon, Machanath, Taebel, Sophi, and Onan: and the sons of Sebegon; Aeth, and Sonan.
41 – Les fils d’Ana: Dishon. – Et les fils de Dishon: Hamran, et Eshban, et Jithran, et Keran.
The sons of Sonan, Daeson: and the sons of Daeson; Emeron, and Asebon, and Jethram, and Charran.
42 – Les fils d’Étser: Bilhan, et Zaavan, [et] Jaakan. – Les fils de Dishan: Uts et Aran.
And the sons of Hosar, Balaam, and Zucam, and Acan: the sons of Disan, Os, and Aran.
43 Et ce sont ici les rois qui régnèrent dans le pays d’Édom, avant qu’un roi règne sur les fils d’Israël: Béla, fils de Béor; et le nom de sa ville était Dinhaba.
And these [are] their kings, Balac the son of Beor; and the name of his city [was] Dennaba.
44 – Et Béla mourut; et Jobab, fils de Zérakh, de Botsra, régna à sa place.
And Balac died, and Jobab the son of Zara of Bosorrha reigned in his stead.
45 – Et Jobab mourut; et Husham, du pays des Thémanites, régna à sa place.
And Jobab died, and Asom of the land of the Thaemanites reigned in his stead.
46 – Et Husham mourut; et à sa place régna Hadad, fils de Bedad, qui frappa Madian dans les champs de Moab; et le nom de sa ville était Avith.
And Asom died, and Adad the son of Barad reigned in his stead, who smote Madiam in the plain of Moab: and the name of his city [was] Gethaim.
47 – Et Hadad mourut; et Samla, de Masréka, régna à sa place.
And Adad died, and Sebla of Masecca reigned in his stead.
48 – Et Samla mourut; et Saül, de Rehoboth sur le fleuve, régna à sa place.
And Sebla died, and Saul of Rhoboth by the river reigned in his stead.
49 – Et Saül mourut; et Baal-Hanan, fils d’Acbor, régna à sa place.
And Saul died, and Balaennor son of Achobor reigned in his stead.
50 – Et Baal-Hanan mourut; et Hadad régna à sa place; et le nom de sa ville était Pahi; et le nom de sa femme, Mehétabeël, fille de Matred, fille de Mézahab.
And Balaennor died, and Adad son of Barad reigned in his stead; and the name of his city [was] Phogor.
51 Et Hadad mourut. Et il y eut des chefs d’Édom: le chef Thimna, le chef Alia, le chef Jetheth,
The princes of Edom: prince Thamna, prince Golada, prince Jether,
52 le chef Oholibama, le chef Éla, le chef Pinon,
prince Elibamas, prince Elas, prince Phinon,
53 le chef Kenaz, le chef Théman, le chef Mibtsar,
prince Kenez, prince Thaeman, prince Babsar, prince Magediel,
54 le chef Magdiel, le chef Iram. Ce sont là les chefs d’Édom.
prince Zaphoin. These [are] the princes of Edom.
