1 Poikani, noudata minun sanojani ja kätke mieleesi minun käskyni.
My son, keep my words. Lay up my mitzvot ·instructions· within you.

Obey my mitzvot ·instructions· and live! Guard my teaching as the apple of your eye.
3 Sido ne kiinni sormiisi, kirjoita ne sydämesi tauluun.
Bind them on your fingers. Write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Sano viisaudelle: "Sinä olet sisareni", kutsu ymmärrystä sukulaiseksi,
