Leviticus 12
1 And the Lord spak to Moises, `and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel,
Og Herren tala atter til Moses, og sagde:
2 and thou schalt seie to hem, If a womman, whanne sche hath resseyued seed, childith a knaue child, sche schal be vnclene bi seuene daies bi the daies of departyng of corrupt blood, that renneth bi monethis;
«Tala til Israels-borni og seg: «Når ei kvende kjem i barnseng og fær ein son, so skal ho vera urein i sju dagar, likso lenge som når ho hev månadstidi si.
3 and the yong child schal be circumsidid in the eiytithe dai.
Den åttande dagen skal huveholdet umskjerast på sonen.
4 Sotheli sche schal dwelle thre and thretti daies in the blood of hir purifiyng; sche schal not touche ony hooli thing, nethir sche schal entre in to the seyntuarie, til the daies of her clensing be fillid.
Sidan skal ho halda seg heime i tri og tretti dagar, medan blodet gjeng og ho reinskast; ikkje må ho røra noko heilagt, og ikkje må ho koma til heilagdomen fyrr reinskingsdagarne hennar er lidne.
5 Sotheli if sche childith a female, sche schal be vnclene twei woukis, bi the custom of flowyng of vnclene blood, and `thre scoor and sixe daies sche schal dwelle in the blood of her clensyng.
Fær ho eit møybarn, so vert ho vera urein i tvo vikor, som når ho hev sine eigne tider, og sidan skal ho halda seg heime i seks og seksti dagar, medan blodet gjeng og ho reinskast.
6 And whanne the daies of hir clensyng, for a sone, ether for a douytir, ben fillid, sche schal brynge a lomb of o yeer in to brent sacrifice, and a `bryd of a culuer, ethir a turtle, for synne, to the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng;
Når reinskingstidi er ute, anten ho hev fenge son eller dotter, so skal ho koma med eit årsgamalt lamb til brennoffer og ein duveunge eller ei turtelduva til syndoffer; det skal ho bera fram åt møtetjelddøri, og gjeva det til presten,
7 and sche schal yyue to the preest, which schal offre tho bifor the Lord, and schal preye for hir, and so sche schal be clensid fro the fowyng of hir blood. This is the lawe of a womman childynge a male, ethir a female.
og presten skal ofra det for Herrens åsyn, og gjera soning for henne, so ho vert rein etter blødingi. Denne lovi gjeld for alle kvende som hev fenge barn, anten det er son eller dotter.
8 That if hir hond fyndith not, nethir may offre a lomb, sche schal take twei turtlis, ethir twei `briddis of culueres, oon in to brent sacrifice, and the tother for synne; and the preest schal preye for hir, and so sche schal be clensid.
Men den sim ikkje hev råd til å ofra eit lamb, skal ho taka tvo turtelduvor eller tvo duveungar, den eine til brennoffer og den andre til syndoffer, og presten skal gjera soning for henne; då vert ho rein att.»»
