Exodus 28
1 Also applie thou to thee Aaron, thi brother, with hise sones, fro the myddis of the sones of Israel, that Aaron, Nadab, and Abyu, Eleazar, and Ythamar, be set in preesthod to me.
So skal du kalla Aron, bror din, fram or Israels-lyden, både honom og sønerne hans, og setja deim til prestar for meg, Aron, og Nadab og Abihu, og Eleazar og Itamar, sønerne hans Aron.
2 And thou schalt make an hooli clooth to Aaron, thi brother, in to glorie and fairenesse.
Og du skal gjera Aron, bror din, heilage klæde, til æra og til prydnad.
3 And thou schalt speke to alle wise men in herte, whiche Y haue fillid with the spirit of prudence, that thei make clothis to Aaron, in whiche he schal be halewid, and schal mynystre to me.
Du skal tala med alle deim som er hage av seg, og som eg hev fyllt med kunstnarånd, og so skal dei gjera den klædebunaden som Aron skal hava på seg, når han vert vigd til prest.
4 Forsothe these schulen be the clothis, whiche thei schulen make; `thei schulen make racional, and a clooth on the schuldris, a coote, and a streyt lynnun clooth, a mytre, and a girdil; hooli cloothis to Aaron, thi brother, and to hise sones, that thei be set in preesthod to me.
Høyr no kva det er for klæde dei skal gjera: ein bringeduk og ein messehakel og ein prestekjole og ein brogdut underkjole og ei huva og eit belte. Det er den heilage klædebunaden dei skal gjera til Aron, bror din, og sønerne hans, so han kann vera presten min,
5 And thei schulen take gold, and iacynt, and purpur, and `reed selk twies died, and bijs;
og til det skal dei bruka gull og purpur og skarlak og karmesin og kvitt lingarn.
6 forsothe thei schulen make the clooth on the schuldris of gold, and of iacynt, and purpur, and of `reed selk twies died, and of bijs foldid ayen, bi broyderi werk of dyuerse colours.
Messehakelen skal dei gjera av gull og purpur og skarlak og karmesin og kvitt tvinna lingarn. Han skal vera vænt voven,
7 It schal haue twey hemmes ioyned in euer either side of hiynessis, that tho go ayen in to oon.
og hava tvo aksleband som er feste innåt honom, eitt på kvar ende; dei skal vera til å hekta honom i hop med.
8 Thilke weuyng, and al dyuersite of the werk schal be of gold, and iacynt, and purpur, and of `reed selk twies died, and bijs foldis ayen.
Det skal vera ei livgjord på honom, og den skal vera like eins vovi og av same tyet som messehakelen, gull og purpur og skarlak og karmesin og kvitt tvinna lingarn.
9 And thou schalt take twei stoonys of onychym, and thou schalt graue in tho the names of the sones of Israel,
So skal du taka tvo av sjohamsteinarne; på deim skal du grava inn namni åt Israels-sønerne,
10 sixe names in o stoon, and sixe othere in the tother stoon, bi the ordre of her birthe;
seks på kvar stein, etter alderen;
11 bi the werk of a grauere, and bi the peyntyng of a man that ourneth with gemmes thou schalt graue tho stoonys, with the names of the sones of Israel; and thou schalt enclose and cumpasse in gold.
på same måten som dei skjer ut i stein, eller grev ein seglring, skal du grava inn namni åt Israels-sønerne på desse tvo steinarne, og so skal du fella deim inn i fatingar av tvinna gull.
12 And thou schalt sette tho stoonus in euer either side of the cloth on the schuldris, a memorial to the sones of Israel; and Aaron schal bere the names of hem bifor the Lord on euer either schuldre, for remembryng.
Båe steinarne skal du setja på akslebandi åt messehakelen, so dei skal minna um Israels-sønerne; og når Aron stend for Herrens åsyn, skal han bera namni åt Israels-sønerne på båe herdarne sine, til ei minning.
13 And thou schalt make hookis of gold,
Sidan skal du gjera sylgjor av tvinna gull.
14 and twey litil chaynes of clenneste gold, cleuynge to hem silf togidere, whiche litil chaynes thou schalt sette in the hookis.
Og tvo lekkjor av skirt gull skal du gjera; dei skal vera slyngde på same måten som dei slyngjer snorer. Desse snorlekkjorne skal du festa i sylgjorne.
15 Also thou schalt make the racional of doom by werk of dyuerse colours, bi the weuyng of the cloth on the schuldre, of gold, iacynt, and purpur, of `reed silk twies died, and of bijs foldid ayen.
So skal du gjera ein domsbringeduk. Vænt rosa skal han vera, som messehakelen; av gull og purpur og skarlak og karmesin og kvitt tvinna lingarn skal du gjera honom.
16 It schal be foure cornerid, and double; it schal haue the mesure of a pawme of the hond, as wel in lengthe, as in breede.
Han skal vera firkanta og tvilagd, ei spann på lengdi og ei spann på breiddi,
17 And thou schalt sette ther ynne foure ordris of stoonys; in the firste ordre schal be the stoon sardius, and topazyus, and smaragdus;
og sett med dyre steinar, som stend i fire rader. I ei rad skal vera ein karneol og ein topas og ein smaragd; det er den fyrste radi.
18 in the secunde ordre schal be charbuncle, safir, and iaspis; in the thridde ordre schal be ligurie,
I den andre radi skal vera ein rubin og ein safir og ein beryll,
19 achates, and ametiste;
og i den tridje radi ein hyacint og ein agat og ein ametyst,
20 in the fourthe ordre schal be crisolitus, onochyn, and berille; tho schulen be closid in gold, bi her ordris,
og i den fjorde radi ein krysolit og ein sjoham og ein jaspis. Dei skal vera innfelte i fatingar av tvinna gull.
21 and schulen haue the names of the sones of Israel: tho schulen be graven with twelue names; al stonus bi hem silf, with the names of the sones `of Israel bi hem silf, bi twelue lynagis.
Steinarne skal vera tolv i talet liksom Israels-sønerne, og på kvar stein skal namnet åt ei av dei tolv ætterne vera inngrave som på ein seglring.
22 Thou schalt make in the racional chaynes cleuynge to hem silf togidere of pureste gold,
So skal du gjera lekkjor av skirt gull, slyngde som snorer, til bringeduken.
23 and thou schalt make twei goldun ryngis, whiche thou schalt sette in euer either hiynesse of racional.
Og du skal gjera tvo gullringar til honom; deim skal du setja i kvar sitt hyrna på bringeduken,
24 And thou schalt ioyne the goldun chaynes with the ryngis that ben in the brynkis therof,
og dei tvo gullsnorerne skal du festa i dei tvo ringarne som sit i hyrno på bringeduken.
25 and thou schalt couple the `last thingis of tho chaynes to twey hookis in euer either side of the `cloth on the schuldur, that biholdith the racional.
Dei hine tvo endarne av båe snorerne skal du festa i dei tvo sylgjorne, og sylgjorne skal du setja på akslebandi åt messehakelen, på framsida.
26 And thou schalt make twei goldun ryngis, whiche thou schalt sette in the hiynesses of the racional, and in the hemmes of the cloth on the schuldur, that ben euene ayens, and biholden the lattere thingis therof.
So skal du gjera tvo andre gullringar og setja i dei hine tvo hyrno på bringeduken, på den sida som vender inn imot messehakelen.
27 Also and thou schalt make tweyne othere goldun ryngis, that schulen be set in euer either side of the clooth on the schuldur bynethe, that biholdith ayens the face of the lowere ioynyng, that it may be set couenabli with the `cloth on the schuldre.
Og endå tvo gullringar skal du gjera og setja på båe akslebandi åt messehakelen, nedantil på framsida, der som han er hekta i hop, ovanfor livgjordi.
28 And the racional be boundun bi hise ryngis with the ryngis of the `cloth on the schuldre, with a lace of iacynt, that the ioyning maad craftili dwelle, and that the racional and `cloth on the schuldre moun not be departid ech fro other.
So skal dei med ei purpursnor binda ringarne på bringeduken til ringarne på messehakelen, so bringeduken sit ovanfor livgjordi og ikkje kann rikkast frå messehakelen.
29 And Aaron schal bere the names of the sones of Israel in the racional of doom on his brest, whanne he entrith in to the seyntuarie, a memorial bifor the Lord with outen ende.
Og når Aron gjeng inn i heilagdomen og stend framfor augo åt Herren, då skal han bera namni åt Israels-sønerne innmed hjarta sitt, på domsbringeduken, so Herren all tid skal koma deim i hug.
30 Forsothe thou schalt sette in the racional of doom, techyng, and treuthe, whiche schulen be in the brest of Aaron, whanne he entrith bifor the Lord, and he schal bere the doom of the sones of Israel in his brest in the siyt of the Lord euere.
Inn i domsbringeduken skal du leggja urim og tummim; dei skal liggja innmed hjarta åt Aron, kvar gong han stig fram for Herrens åsyn, so Aron all tid skal bera domen yver Israels-borni på hjarta sitt framfor Herren.
31 And thou schalt make the coote of the `cloth on the schuldre al of iacynt,
Prestekjolen, som er til å bera under messehakelen, skal du gjera av purpur all igjenom.
32 in whos myddil aboue schal be an hood, and a wouun hemme `bi cumpas therof, as it is wont to be don in the hemmes of clothis, lest it be brokun liytli.
Midt på honom skal det vera eit halssmog med ei vovi borda ikring, som halssmoget på ei brynja, so han ikkje skal rivna.
33 Forsothe bynethe at the feet of the same coote, bi cumpas, thou schalt make as `piyn applis, of iacynt, and purpur, of `reed selk twies died, and of biis foldid ayen; while smale bellis ben medlid in the myddis,
Rundt ikring falden skal du setja duskar, på gjerd som granateple, av purpur og skarlak og karmesin, og imillom dei gullbjøllor, alt ikring,
34 so that a litil `belle of gold be and a `piyn appil, and eft another litel belle of gold and a `pyn appil.
fyrst ei gullbjølla og ein dusk, so ei gullbjølla og ein dusk att, og soleis rundt um heile falden på kjolen.
35 And Aaron schal be clothid with that coote in the office of seruyce, that sown be herd, whanne he entrith in to the seyntuarie, and goith out, in the siyt of the Lord; and that he die not.
Den kjolen skal Aron hava på seg kvar gong han held gudstenesta, so ljoden av honom kann høyrast, når han gjeng inn i heilagdomen og stig fram for Herren, og når han gjeng ut att, so han ikkje skal døy.
36 And thou schalt make a plate of pureste gold, in which thou schalt graue bi the werk of a grauere, the holi to the Lord.
So skal du gjera ei spong av skirt gull, og på den skal du grava inn, som på ein seglring, desse ordi: «Vigd åt Herren».
37 And thou schalt bynde that plate with a lace of iacynt, and it schal be on the mytre,
Du skal festa henne i huva med ei purpursnor: framme på huva skal ho sitja.
38 and schal neiye the forheed of the bischop. And Aaron schal bere the wickidnessis of hem whiche the sones of Israel `offeriden, and halewiden in alle her yiftis and fre yiftis; forsothe the plate schal euere be in `his forhed, that the Lord be plesid to him.
Uppyver skallen hans Aron skal ho sitja, so Aron kann svara for veilorne i dei heilage offeri som Israels-borni vigjer til Herren - alle dei vigde gåvorne som dei ber fram. Ho skal all tid sitja uppyver skallen hans, so dei skal vera velsedde for Herrens åsyn.
39 And thou schalt bynde the coot of biis, and the myter of bijs, and thou schalt make also a girdil, `bi werk of broiderye.
So skal du gjera ein brogdut underkjole av lin, og ei huva av lin, og eit belte med rosesaum.
40 Forsothe thou schalt make redi to `the sones of Aaron linnun cootis, and girdlis, and mytris, in to glorie and fairnesse.
Og til sønerne hans Aron skal du gjera underkjolar, og du skal gjera deim belte, og hovudplagg skal du gjera deim, til æra og til prydnad.
41 And thou schalt clothe Aaron, thi brother, with alle these, and hise sones with hym. And thou schalt sacre the hondis of alle; and thou schalt halewe hem, that thei be set in preesthood to me.
Med dette skal du klæda Aron, bror din, og sønerne hans, og so skal du salva deim og setja deim inn i embættet og vigja deim til prestar for meg.
42 Also thou schalt make lynnun brechis, that thei hile the fleisch of her filthe fro the reynes `til to the hipis.
So skal du gjera deim lereftsbrøker til å gøyma blygsli si med: frå mjødmarne og ned på låri skal brøkene nå.
43 And Aaron and hise sones schulen vse tho, whanne thei schulen entre in to the tabernacle of witnessyng, ether whanne thei neiyen to the auter, that thei mynystren in the seyntuarie, lest thei ben gilti of wickidnesse, and dien; it schal be a lawful thing euerlastynge to Aaron, and to his seed after hym.
Og Aron og sønerne hans skal hava deim på seg, når dei gjeng inn i møtetjeldet eller stig fram åt altaret og held gudstenesta i heilagdomen, so dei ikkje skal føra skuld yver seg og lata livet. Det skal vera ei lov for honom og ætti hans i all æva.
