Exodus 13

1 Also the Lord spak to Moises, and seide,

Og Herren tala atter til Moses og sagde:

2 Halewe thou to me ech firste gendrid thing that openeth the wombe among the sones of Israel, as wel of men as of beestis, for whi alle ben myn.

«Alt frumbore hjå Israels-folket skal du vigja åt meg, alt som kjem fyrst frå morsliv: anten det er folk eller fe, so høyrer det meg til.»

3 And Moises seide to the puple, Haue ye mynde of this dai, in which ye yeden out of Egipt, and of the hows of seruage, for in strong hond the Lord ledde you out of this place, that ye ete not breed diyt with sour dow.

Og Moses sagde til folket: «Kom i hug den dagen då de slapp ut or Egyptarland, or slavehuset! For det var Herren som med si sterke hand leidde dykk ut. Då skal de ikkje eta surbrød!

4 To dai ye gon out, in the monethe of new fruytis;

I dag er det de tek ut, i aksmånaden.

5 and whanne the Lord hath led thee in to the lond of Cananey, and of Ethei, and of Amorrei, and of Euei, and of Jebusei, which lond he swoor to thi fadris, that he schulde yyue to thee, a lond flowynge with mylk and hony, thou schalt halowe this custom of holy thingis in this monethe.

Når då Herren hev fylgt deg til landet åt kananitarne og hetitarne og amoritarne og hevitarne og jebusitarne, det som han lova federne dine å gjeva deg, eit land som fløymer med mjølk og honning, då skal du halda gudstenesta på denne visi i denne same månaden;

6 In seuene daies thou schalt ete therf looues, and the solempnete of the Lord schal be in the seuenthe dai;

sju dagar skal du eta søtt brød, og den sjuande dagen skal det vera høgtid for Herren.

7 ye schulen ete therf looues seuene daies, no thing diyt with sour dow schal appere at thee, nether in alle thi coostis.

Søtt brød skal du eta alle dei sju dagarne; ikkje må det finnast surbrød i ditt eige, og ikkje surdeig, so langt som du råder.

8 And thou schalt telle to thi sone in that dai, and schalt seie, This it is that the Lord dide to me, whanne Y yede out of Egipt.

Og same dagen skal du gjera dette kunnigt for son din, og segja: «Det er til minne um det som Herren gjorde for meg, då eg for frå Egyptarland.»

9 And it schal be as a signe in thin hond, and as a memorial before thin iyen, and that the lawe of the Lord be euere in thi mouth; for in a strong hond the Lord ledde thee out of Egipt, and of the hows of seruage.

Og det skal vera som det var rita i handi di, og som det stod skrive framfor augo dine, so Herrens lov kann vera på munnen din. For med sterk hand leidde Herren deg ut or Egyptarland.

10 Thou schalt kepe siche a worschipyng in tyme ordeined, `fro daies in to daies.

So skal du då gjere etter denne fyresegni år etter år, på den tid som er sett.

11 And whanne the Lord hath brouyt thee in to the lond of Cananey, as he swoor to thee, and to thi fadris, and hath youe it to thee,

Og når Herren hev fylgt deg til Kana’ans-landet, som han lova deg og federne dine, og hev gjeve deg det,

12 thou schalt departe to the Lord al the thing that openeth the wombe, and that that is the firste in thi beestis; what euer thing thou hast of male kynde, thou schalt halewe to the Lord.

då skal du eigna åt Herren alt som kjem fyrst frå morsliv. Alt det fyrste som fell undan det feet du eig, og som er han av slaget, det skal høyra Herren til.

13 Thou schalt chaunge the firste gendrid of an asse for a scheep, that if thou ayen biest not, thou schalt sle; forsothe thou schalt ayen bie with prijs al the firste gendrid of man of thi sones.

Det fyrste følet som fell undan kvart asen, skal du løysa med eit lamb eller kid, og løyser du det ikkje, so skal du brjota nakken på det. Men kvart mannebarn - kvart sveinbarn i ætta di - som er frumbore, skal du løysa.

14 And whanne thi sone schal axe thee to morewe, and seie, What is this? thou schalt answere to hym, In a strong hond the Lord ladde vs out of the lond of Egipt, of the hows of seruage; for whanne Farao was maad hard,

Når då son din sidan spør deg: «Kva tyder dette?» so skal du svara: «Med sterk hand leidde Herren oss ut or Egyptarland, or slavehuset.

15 and nolde delyuere vs, the Lord killide alle the firste gendrid thing in the lond of Egipt, fro the firste gendrid of man til to the firste gendrid of beestis; therfor Y offre to the Lord al thing of male kynde that openeth the wombe, and Y ayen bie alle the firste gendrid thingis of my sones.

For det gjekk slik til at då Farao gjorde seg hard og ikkje vilde lata oss fara, då slo Herren i hel alt som frumbore var i Egyptarland, både av folk og av fe. Difor ofrar eg til Herren alt det som kjem fyrst frå morsliv og er han av slaget, men eg løyser kvart sveinbarn i ætti mi som er frumbore.

16 Therfor it schal be as a signe in thin hond, and as a thing hangid for mynde bifore thin iyen, for in a strong hond the Lord ledde vs out of Egipt.

Og det skal vera som det var rita i handi di og skrive millom augo dine at Herren med si sterke hand leidde oss ut or Egyptarland.»»

17 Therfor whanne Farao hadde sent out the puple, God ledde not hem out bi the weie of `the lond of Filisteis, which is niy; and arettid lest perauenture it wolde repente the puple, if he had seyn batelis rise ayens hym, and `the puple wolde turn ayen in to Egipt;

Då Farao hadde gjeve folket lov til å fara, so førde Gud deim ikkje på den vegen som bar til Filistarlandet, endå det var den næmaste. Han tenkte dei kunde koma til å angra seg, når dei møtte ufred, og so fara attende til Egyptarlandet;

18 but God ledde aboute by the weie of deseert, which weie is bisidis the reed see. And the sones of Israel weren armed, and stieden fro the lond of Egipte.

Difor laga Gud det so, at dei svinga inn på den vegen som gjekk gjenom villmarki, til Raudehavet. So for då Israels-mennerene stridsbudde ut or Egyptarlandet.

19 And Moises took the boonus of Joseph with hym, for he hadde chargid the sones of Israel, and hadde seid, God schal visite you, and bere ye out `fro hennus my boonus with you.

Og Moses tok beini av Josef med seg; for Josef hadde teke eiden av Israels-sønerne og sagt: «Når Gud kjem og hentar dykk, so skal de taka beini mine med dykk herifrå.»

20 And thei yeden forth fro Socoth, and settiden tentis in Etham, in the laste endis of wildirnesse.

So tok dei ut frå Sukkot, og leira seg i Etam, tett innmed øydemarki.

21 Forsothe the Lord yede bifore hem to schewe the weie, bi dai in a piler of clowde, and bi nyyt in a piler of fier, that he schulde be ledere of the weie in euer either time;

Og Herren gjekk fyre deim um dagen i ein skystopul, som leidde deim rette vegen, og um natti i ein eldstopul, som lyste for deim, so dei kunde fara natt og dag.

22 the piler of clowde failide neuere bi dai, nether the piler of fier bi niyt, bifor the puple.

Skystopulen kvarv ikkje frå folket um dagen, og eldstopulen ikkje um natti.
