1 Kings 7
1 And own house his he built Solomon thir-teen year[s] and he completed all house his.
Salomon bâtit encore sa maison, ce qui dura treize ans jusqu’à ce qu’il l’eût entièrement achevée.
2 And he built [the] House of - [the] Forest of Lebanon [was] one hundred cubit[s] length its and [was] fifty cubit[s] breadth its and [was] thirty cubit[s] height its on four rows of pillars of cedar and beams of cedar [were] on the pillars.
Il construisit d’abord la maison de la forêt du Liban, longue de cent coudées, large de cinquante coudées, et haute de trente coudées. Elle reposait sur quatre rangées de colonnes de cèdre, et il y avait des poutres de cèdre sur les colonnes.
3 And [it was] paneled with cedar from above above the side-chambers which [were] on the pillars forty and five fif-teen the row.
On couvrit de cèdre les chambres qui portaient sur les colonnes et qui étaient au nombre de quarante-cinq, quinze par étage.
4 And window frames three rows and window [was] to window three times.
Il y avait trois étages, à chacun desquels se trouvaient des fenêtres les unes vis-à-vis des autres.
5 And all the openings and the doorposts [were] square frame-work and [the] front window [was] to window three times.
Toutes les portes et tous les poteaux étaient formés de poutres en carré; et, à chacun des trois étages, les ouvertures étaient les unes vis-à-vis des autres.
6 And [the] porch of the pillars he made [was] fifty cubit[s] length its and [was] thirty cubit[s] breadth its and a porch [was] on face their and pillars and a threshold [were] on face their.
Il fit le portique des colonnes, long de cinquante coudées et large de trente coudées, et un autre portique en avant avec des colonnes et des degrés sur leur front.
7 And [the] porch of the throne where he gave judgment there [the] porch of judgment he made and [it was] paneled with cedar from the floor to the floor.
Il fit le portique du trône, où il rendait la justice, le portique du jugement; et il le couvrit de cèdre, depuis le sol jusqu’au plafond.
8 And own house his where he dwelt there [the] court other from inside to the porch like the workmanship this it was and a house he made for [the] daughter of Pharaoh whom he had taken Solomon like the porch this.
Sa maison d’habitation fut construite de la même manière, dans une autre cour, derrière le portique. Et il fit une maison du même genre que ce portique pour la fille de Pharaon, qu’il avait prise pour femme.
9 All these [were] stones costly according to measurements of hewn [stone] sawn with saw from inside and from outside and from [the] foundation to the coping stone and from [the] outside to the court great.
Pour toutes ces constructions on employa de magnifiques pierres, taillées d’après des mesures, sciées avec la scie, intérieurement et extérieurement, et cela depuis les fondements jusqu’aux corniches, et en dehors jusqu’à la grande cour.
10 And [it was] founded stones costly stones large stones of ten cubits and stones of eight cubits.
Les fondements étaient en pierres magnifiques et de grande dimension, en pierres de dix coudées et en pierres de huit coudées.
11 And [were] from to above stones costly according to measurements of hewn [stone] and cedar.
Au-dessus il y avait encore de magnifiques pierres, taillées d’après des mesures, et du bois de cèdre.
12 And [the] court great [were] all around three rows hewn [stone] and a row of beams of cedar and to [the] court of [the] house of Yahweh inner and to [the] porch of the house.
La grande cour avait dans tout son circuit trois rangées de pierres de taille et une rangée de poutres de cèdre, comme le parvis intérieur de la maison de l’Éternel, et comme le portique de la maison.
13 And he sent the king Solomon and he brought Hiram from Tyre.
Le roi Salomon fit venir de Tyr Hiram,
14 [was] a son of A woman a widow he from [the] tribe of Naphtali and father his [was] a man Tyrian a worker of bronze and he was filled the wisdom and the skill and the knowledge to do any work with bronze and he came to the king Solomon and he did all work his.
fils d’une veuve de la tribu de Nephthali, et d’un père Tyrien, qui travaillait sur l’airain. Hiram était rempli de sagesse, d’intelligence, et de savoir pour faire toutes sortes d’ouvrages d’airain. Il arriva auprès du roi Salomon, et il exécuta tous ses ouvrages.
15 And he fashioned [the] two the pillars bronze [was] eight-teen cubit[s] [the] height of the pillar one and a line of two plus ten cubit[s] it went round the pillar second.
Il fit les deux colonnes d’airain. La première avait dix-huit coudées de hauteur, et un fil de douze coudées mesurait la circonférence de la seconde.
16 And two capitals he made to put on [the] tops of the pillars casting of bronze [was] five cubits [the] height of the capital one and [was] five cubits [the] height of the capital second.
Il fondit deux chapiteaux d’airain, pour mettre sur les sommets des colonnes; le premier avait cinq coudées de hauteur, et le second avait cinq coudées de hauteur.
17 Networks work of a network festoons work of chains [belonged] to the capitals which [were] on [the] top of the pillars seven for the capital one and seven for the capital second.
Il fit des treillis en forme de réseaux, des festons façonnés en chaînettes, pour les chapiteaux qui étaient sur le sommet des colonnes, sept pour le premier chapiteau, et sept pour le second chapiteau.
18 And he made the pillars and two rows [were] all around on the network one to cover the capitals which [were] on [the] top of the pomegranates and thus he did for the capital second.
Il fit deux rangs de grenades autour de l’un des treillis, pour couvrir le chapiteau qui était sur le sommet d’une des colonnes; il fit de même pour le second chapiteau.
19 And [the] capitals which [were] on [the] top of the pillars [were] a work of lili[es] in the porch four cubits.
Les chapiteaux qui étaient sur le sommet des colonnes, dans le portique, figuraient des lis et avaient quatre coudées.
20 And [the] capitals [were] on [the] two the pillars also from above from to near the bulge which [was] to [the] side of (the network *QK) and the pomegranates two hundred rows [were] all around on the capital second.
Les chapiteaux placés sur les deux colonnes étaient entourés de deux cents grenades, en haut, près du renflement qui était au-delà du treillis; il y avait aussi deux cents grenades rangées autour du second chapiteau.
21 And he set up the pillars of [the] porch of the temple and he set up the pillar south and he called name its Jakin and he set up the pillar north and he called name its Boaz.
Il dressa les colonnes dans le portique du temple; il dressa la colonne de droite, et la nomma Jakin; puis il dressa la colonne de gauche, et la nomma Boaz.
22 And [was] on [the] top of the pillars a work of lili[es] and it was complete [the] work of the pillars.
Il y avait sur le sommet des colonnes un travail figurant des lis. Ainsi fut achevé l’ouvrage des colonnes.
23 And he made the sea cast [metal] [was] ten by the cubit from lip its to lip its round - all around and [was] five by the cubit height its (and a measuring-line *QK) thirty by the cubit it went round it all around.
Il fit la mer de fonte. Elle avait dix coudées d’un bord à l’autre, une forme entièrement ronde, cinq coudées de hauteur, et une circonférence que mesurait un cordon de trente coudées.
24 And gourds [were] from under to lip its - all around [they were] surrounding it ten by the cubit [they were] surrounding the sea all around [were] two rows the gourds [they were] cast in casting its.
Des coloquintes l’entouraient au-dessous de son bord, dix par coudée, faisant tout le tour de la mer; les coloquintes, disposées sur deux rangs, étaient fondues avec elle en une seule pièce.
25 [it was] standing On two plus ten ox[en] three [were] turning - north-ward and three [were] turning - west-ward and three - [were] turning [the] south towards and three [were] turning east-ward and the sea [was] on them from to above and all hindquarters their [were] inside towards.
Elle était posée sur douze bœufs, dont trois tournés vers le nord, trois tournés vers l’occident, trois tournés vers le midi, et trois tournés vers l’orient; la mer était sur eux, et toute la partie postérieure de leur corps était en dedans.
26 And thickness its [was] a hand breadth and lip its [was] like [the] work of [the] lip of a cup [the] blossom of lili[es] two thousand bath[s] it contained.
Son épaisseur était d’un palme; et son bord, semblable au bord d’une coupe, était façonné en fleur de lis. Elle contenait deux mille baths.
27 And he made the stands ten bronze [was] four by the cubit [the] length of the stand one and [was] four by the cubit breadth its and [was] three by the cubit height its.
Il fit les dix bases d’airain. Chacune avait quatre coudées de longueur, quatre coudées de largeur, et trois coudées de hauteur.
28 And this [was] [the] work of the stand rims [belonged] to them and rims [were] between the cross bars.
Voici en quoi consistaient ces bases. Elles étaient formées de panneaux, liés aux coins par des montants.
29 And [were] on the rims which - [were] between the cross bars lions - ox[en] and cherubim and [was] on the cross bars a base from above and [were] from under to [the] lions and to the ox[en] garlands [the] work of hanging.
Sur les panneaux qui étaient entre les montants il y avait des lions, des bœufs et des chérubins; et sur les montants, au-dessus comme au-dessous des lions et des bœufs, il y avait des ornements qui pendaient en festons.
30 And four wheels of bronze [belonged] to the stand one and axles of bronze and four feet its supports [belonged] to them from under to the laver the supports [were] cast [were] from [the] side of each garlands.
Chaque base avait quatre roues d’airain avec des essieux d’airain; et aux quatre angles étaient des consoles de fonte, au-dessous du bassin, et au-delà des festons.
31 And opening its [was] from inside to the capital and up-wards by the cubit and opening its [was] round [the] work of a base a cubit and [the] half of cubit and also [were] on opening its carvings and rims their [were] square not round.
Le couronnement de la base offrait à son intérieur une ouverture avec un prolongement d’une coudée vers le haut; cette ouverture était ronde, comme pour les ouvrages de ce genre, et elle avait une coudée et demie de largeur; il s’y trouvait aussi des sculptures. Les panneaux étaient carrés, et non arrondis.
32 And [the] four the wheels [were] to from under to the rims and [the] hands of the wheels [were] on the stand and [the] height of the wheel one [was] a cubit and [the] half of cubit.
Les quatre roues étaient sous les panneaux, et les essieux des roues fixés à la base; chacune avait une coudée et demie de hauteur.
33 And [the] work of the wheels [was] like [the] work of wheel of chariot hands their and rims their and spokes their and hubs their everything [was] cast.
Les roues étaient faites comme celles d’un char. Leurs essieux, leurs jantes, leurs rais et leurs moyeux, tout était de fonte.
34 And four supports [were] to [the] four [the] corners of the stand one [were] from the stand supports its.
Il y avait aux quatre angles de chaque base quatre consoles d’une même pièce que la base.
35 And at [the] top of the stand half of cubit height round - all around and [were] on [the] top of the stand hands its and rims its [were] from it.
La partie supérieure de la base se terminait par un cercle d’une demi-coudée de hauteur, et elle avait ses appuis et ses panneaux de la même pièce.
36 And he engraved on the plates of hands its and on (rims its *QK) cherubim lions and palm trees according to [the] clear space of each and garlands [were] all around.
Il grava sur les plaques des appuis, et sur les panneaux, des chérubins, des lions et des palmes, selon les espaces libres, et des guirlandes tout autour.
37 Like this he made [the] ten the stands a casting one a measurement one a shape one for all of them.
C’est ainsi qu’il fit les dix bases: la fonte, la mesure et la forme étaient les mêmes pour toutes.
38 And he made ten lavers bronze forty bath[s] it contained - the laver one [was] four by the cubit the laver one a laver one [was] on the stand one for [the] ten the stands.
Il fit dix bassins d’airain. Chaque bassin contenait quarante baths, chaque bassin avait quatre coudées, chaque bassin était sur l’une des dix bases.
39 And he put the stands five on [the] side of the house from [the] south and five on [the] side of the house from left its and the sea he put from [the] side of the house south east-ward from in front of [the] south.
Il plaça cinq bases sur le côté droit de la maison, et cinq bases sur le côté gauche de la maison; et il plaça la mer du côté droit de la maison, au sud-est.
40 And he made Hiram the lavers and the shovels and the bowls and he finished Hiram to do all the work which he did for the king Solomon [the] house of Yahweh.
Hiram fit les cendriers, les pelles et les coupes. Ainsi Hiram acheva tout l’ouvrage que le roi Salomon lui fit faire pour la maison de l’Éternel;
41 Pillars two and [the] bowls of the capitals which [were] on [the] top of the pillars two and the networks two to cover [the] two [the] bowls of the capitals which [were] on [the] top of the pillars.
deux colonnes, avec les deux chapiteaux et leurs bourrelets sur le sommet des colonnes; les deux treillis, pour couvrir les deux bourrelets des chapiteaux sur le sommet des colonnes;
42 And the pomegranates four hundred for [the] two the networks two rows pomegranates [belonged] to the network one to cover [the] two [the] bowls of the capitals which [were] on [the] face of the pillars.
les quatre cents grenades pour les deux treillis, deux rangées de grenades par treillis, pour couvrir les deux bourrelets des chapiteaux sur le sommet des colonnes;
43 And the stands ten and the lavers ten on the stands.
les dix bases, et les dix bassins sur les bases;
44 And the sea one and the ox[en] two plus ten under the sea.
la mer, et les douze bœufs sous la mer;
45 And the pots and the shovels and the bowls and all the utensils (the these *QK) which he made Hiram for the king Solomon [the] house of Yahweh bronze polished.
les cendriers, les pelles et les coupes. Tous ces ustensiles que le roi Salomon fit faire à Hiram pour la maison de l’Éternel étaient d’airain poli.
46 In [the] valley of the Jordan he cast them the king in [the] mold of the ground between Succoth and between Zarethan.
Le roi les fit fondre dans la plaine du Jourdain dans un sol argileux, entre Succoth et Tsarthan.
47 And he left Solomon all the utensils from abundance very very not it was ascertained [the] weight of the bronze.
Salomon laissa tous ces ustensiles sans vérifier le poids de l’airain, parce qu’ils étaient en très grande quantité.
48 And he made Solomon all the utensils which [were] [the] house of Yahweh [the] altar of gold and the table which [was] on it [the] bread of the presence gold.
Salomon fit encore tous les autres ustensiles pour la maison de l’Éternel: l’autel d’or; la table d’or, sur laquelle on mettait les pains de proposition;
49 And the lampstands five from [the] right and five from [the] left before the innermost room gold pure gold and the blossom and the lamps and the tongs gold.
les chandeliers d’or pur, cinq à droite et cinq à gauche, devant le sanctuaire, avec les fleurs, les lampes et les mouchettes d’or;
50 And the basins and the snuffers and the bowls and the pans and the fire-pans gold pure gold and the sockets for [the] doors of the house inner to [the] holy place of the holy places for [the] doors of the house of the temple gold.
les bassins, les couteaux, les coupes, les tasses et les brasiers d’or pur; et les gonds d’or pour la porte de l’intérieur de la maison à l’entrée du lieu très saint, et pour la porte de la maison à l’entrée du temple.
51 And it was complete all the work which he did the king Solomon [the] house of Yahweh and he brought Solomon [the] holy things of - David father his the silver and the gold and the utensils he put [them] in [the] treasuries of [the] house of Yahweh.
Ainsi fut achevé tout l’ouvrage que le roi Salomon fit pour la maison de l’Éternel. Puis il apporta l’argent, l’or et les ustensiles, que David, son père, avait consacrés, et il les mit dans les trésors de la maison de l’Éternel.
