Hebrews 3
1 Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the emissary and cohen hagadol of our confession, Yeshua;
A protož, bratří svatí, povolání nebeského účastníci, spatřujte apoštola a nejvyššího kněze vyznání našeho, Krista Ježíše,
2 who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also was Moses in his house.
Věrného tomu, kdož jej ustanovil, jako i Mojžíš byl ve všem domě jeho.
3 For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, just as he who built the house has more honor than the house.
Tím větší zajisté slávy tento nad Mojžíše jest hoden, čím větší má čest stavitel nežli sám dům.
4 For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God.
Nebo všeliký dům ustaven bývá od někoho, ten pak, kdož všecky tyto věci ustavěl, Bůh jest.
5 Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken,
A Mojžíš zajisté věrný byl v celém domě jeho, jako služebník, na osvědčení toho, což potom mělo mluveno býti.
6 but Messiah is faithful as a Son over his house; whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope.
Ale Kristus, jako Syn, panuje nad domem svým. Kterýžto dům my jsme, jestliže tu svobodnou doufanlivost, a tu chloubu naděje až do konce pevnou zachováme.
7 Therefore, even as the Ruach ha-Kodesh says, "Today if you will hear his voice,
Protož jakž praví Duch svatý: Dnes, uslyšeli-li byste hlas jeho,
8 do not harden your hearts, as in the provocation, like as in the day of the trial in the wilderness,
Nezatvrzujtež srdcí svých, jako při onom popuzení v den pokušení toho na poušti;
9 where your fathers tested me and challenged me, and saw my works for forty years.
Kdež pokoušeli mne otcové vaši, zkusiliť mne, a viděli skutky mé po čtyřidceti let.
10 Therefore I was displeased with this generation, and said, 'They always err in their heart, but they did not know my ways;'
Protož hněviv jsem byl na pokolení to, a řekl jsem: Tito vždycky bloudí srdcem, a nepoznávají cest mých.
11 as I swore in my wrath, 'They will not enter into my rest.'"
Pročež přisáhl jsem v hněvě svém, že nevejdou v odpočinutí mé.
12 Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;
Viztež, bratří, aby snad v někom z vás nebylo srdce zlé a nevěrné, kteréž by odstupovalo od Boha živého.
13 but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called "today;" lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
Ale napomínejte se vespolek po všecky dny, dokudž se dnes jmenuje, aby někdo z vás nebyl zatvrzen oklamáním hřícha.
14 For we have become partakers of Messiah, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm to the end:
Účastníci zajisté Krista učiněni jsme, jestliže však ten počátek podstaty až do konce pevný zachováme.
15 while it is said, "Today if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion."
Protož dokudž se říká: Dnes, uslyšeli-li byste hlas jeho, nezatvrzujte srdcí svých, jako při onom popuzení.
16 For who, when they heard, rebelled? No, did not all those who came out of Egypt by Moses?
Nebo někteří slyševše, popouzeli ho, ale ne všickni, kteříž vyšli z Egypta skrze Mojžíše.
17 With whom was he displeased forty years? Was not it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
Na které se pak hněval čtyřidceti let? Zdali ne na ty, kteříž hřešili, jejichž těla padla na poušti?
18 To whom did he swear that they would not enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient?
A kterým zapřisáhl, že nevejdou do odpočinutí jeho? Však těm, kteříž byli neposlušní.
19 We see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.
A vidíme, žeť nemohli vjíti pro nevěru.
