Revelation 6
1 And I saw, when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four Living Creatures say, with a voice like thunder, "Come!"
Und ich sah, da das Lamm das erste von den sieben Siegeln öffnete, und hörte eines von den vier Tieren sprechen wie mit Donnerstimme: komm.
2 And I saw, and lo, a white horse, and he who sat on him had a bow; and there was given him a crown; and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
Und ich sah: siehe da ein weißes Pferd; und der darauf saß, hatte einen Bogen, und es ward ihm ein Kranz gegeben, und siegreich zog er hin um zu siegen.
3 And when he opened the second seal, I heard the second Living Creature say, "Come!"
Und da es das zweite Siegel öffnete, hörte ich das zweite Tier sprechen: komm.
4 And another horse come forth, a red horse. To him who sat on it, it was allowed to take peace from the earth, and to cause men to kill one another; and a great sword was given to him.
Und es zog hinaus ein anderes feuerfarbenes Pferd; und dem, der darauf saß, ward gegeben den Frieden hinzunehmen von der Erde, und daß sie einander hinschlachten, und ward ihm gegeben ein großes Schwert.
5 And when he opened the third seal, I heard the third Living Creature say, "Come!" And I saw, and lo, a black horse! He who sat on him had a balance in his hand.
Und da es das dritte Siegel öffnete, da hörte ich das dritte Tier sagen: komm. Und ich sah: siehe da ein schwarzes Pferd, und der darauf saß, hielt eine Wage in seiner Hand.
6 And I heard the semblance of a voice in the midst of the four Living Creatures, saying. "A quart of wheat for a shilling, and three quarts of barley for a shilling; but do not harm the oil and the wine."
Und ich hörte wie eine Stimme mitten aus den vier Tieren heraus: ein Tagmaß Weizen einen Denar, und drei Maß Gerste einen Denar und dem Oel und dem Wein thue nichts.
7 And when he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth Living Creature calling, "Come!"
Und da es das vierte Siegel öffnete, hörte ich die Stimme des vierten Tieres sagen: komm.
8 So I liked, and lo, a pale horse; and he who sat on him was named Death; and Hades was following after him. To them was given authority over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with the sword, and with famine, and with death, and with the wild beasts of the earth. (Hadēs g86)
Und ich sah: siehe da ein gelbes Pferd; und der darauf saß, der heißt Tod, und der Höllengott folgte ihm, und es ward ihnen gegeben Macht über das Viertel der Erde, zu töten mit dem Schwert und mit dem Hunger und Sterben und durch die wilden Tiere der Erde. (Hadēs g86)
9 And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they bore.
Und da es das fünfte Siegel öffnete, da sah ich unter dem Altar die Seelen derer, die da hingeschlachtet sind wegen des Wortes Gottes und des Zeugnisses, das sie hatten.
10 And with a loud voice they cried, saying, "O Master, holy and true, How long dost thou not judge And avenge our blood On those who dwell on the earth?"
Und sie riefen mit lauter Stimme: Bis wie lange, heiliger und wahrhaftiger Gebieter, willst du nicht richten und rächen unser Blut an den Bewohnern der Erde?
11 And there was given to each one of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest for yet a little time, until the number should be completed by their fellow slaves and their brethren who were about to be put to death as they had been.
Und es ward ihnen gegeben, jedem ein weißes Gewand, und ihnen gesagt, daß sie noch eine kleine Zeit ausharren sollen, bis vollendet haben auch ihre Mitknechte und ihre Brüder, die da sollen getötet werden, ebenso wie sie.
12 And I looked when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black, like sackcloth, and the full moon became like blood;
Und ich sah, da es das sechste Siegel öffnete, da geschah ein großes Erdbeben, und die Sonne ward schwarz wie ein härener Trauersack, und der ganze Mond ward wie Blut,
13 and the stars of the sky fell to earth, as a fig tree shaken by a gale drops its unripe figs.
und die Sterne des Himmels fielen auf die Erde, wie ein Feigenbaum unreife Früchte fallen läßt, wenn ihn ein starker Wind schüttelt.
14 And the sky parted asunder like a rolled-up scroll; and every mountain and island was moved out of its place;
Und der Himmel verschwand wie ein Buch das aufgerollt wird, und alle Berge und Inseln wurden von ihrer Stelle gerückt.
15 and the kings of the earth, and the princes, and the generals, the rich and the mighty, both slaves and freemen, every one of them hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
Und die Könige der Erde, und die Gewaltigen und die Obersten und die Reichen und die Starken und alle Knechte und Freie verbargen sich in die Höhlen und in die Felsen der Berge,
16 And they began to say to the mountains and to the rocks. "Fall upon us and hide us From the face of him who is seated upon the throne, And from the wrath of the Lamb;
und sprechen zu den Bergen und zu den Felsen: fallet über uns, und decket uns vor dem Angesichte dessen, der da sitzt auf dem Thron, und vor dem Zorn des Lammes;
17 For the Great Day of their wrath has come, And who is able to stand?"
denn es ist gekommen der große Tag ihres Zorngerichts, und wer vermag zu bestehen?
