Psalms 33
1 [A Psalm] of David. Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous; praise becomes the upright.
Співайте із радістю, праведні в Господі, — бо щи́рим лицю́є хвала́!
2 Praise the Lord on the harp; platy to him on a lute of ten strings.
Хваліть Господа гу́слами, співайте Йому з десятистру́нною а́рфою,
3 Sing to him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise.
заспівайте Йому нову пісню, гарно заграйте Йому з гуком су́рем,
4 For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are faithful.
бо щире Господнєє слово, і кожен чин Його вірний!
5 He loves mercy and judgment; the earth is full the mercy of the Lord.
Правду та суд Він коха́є, і Господньої милости повна земля!
6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the host of them by the breath of his [mouth].
Словом Господнім учи́нене небо, а подихом уст Його все його ві́йсько.
7 Who gathers the waters of the sea as [in] a bottle; who lays up the deeps in treasuries.
Воду мо́рську збирає Він, мов би до мі́ху, безо́дні складає в комо́рах.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; and let all that dwell in the world be moved because of him.
Буде боятися Господа ці́ла земля, всі ме́шканці все́світу бу́дуть лякатись Його,
9 For he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created.
бо сказав Він — і сталось, наказав — і з'явилось.
10 The Lord frustrates the counsels of the nations; he brings to nothing also the reasonings of the peoples, and brings to nothing the counsels of princes.
Госпо́дь ра́ду пога́нів пони́щить, поні́вечить ми́слі наро́дів,
11 But the counsel of the Lord endures for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
а за́дум Господній навіки стоятиме, думки́ Його серця — на вічні віки́!
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
Блаженний той люд, що Богом у нього Госпо́дь, блаженний наро́д, що Він вибрав його на спа́док Собі!
13 The Lord looks out of heaven; he beholds all the sons of men.
Господь споглядає з небе́с, і бачить усіх синів лю́дських,
14 He looks from his prepared habitation on all the dwellers on the earth;
приглядається з місця оселі Своєї до всіх, хто замешкує землю:
15 who fashioned their hearts alone; who understands all their works.
Хто створив серце кожного з них, наглядає всі їхні діла́!
16 A king is not saved by reason of a great host; and a giant shall not be delivered by the greatness of his strength.
Немає царя, що його многість ві́йська спасає, не врятується ве́летень вели́кістю сили,
17 A horse is vain for safety; neither shall he be delivered by the greatness of his power.
для спасі́ння той кінь ненадійний, і великістю сили своєї він не збереже, —
18 Behold, the eyes of the Lord are on them that fear him, those that hope in his mercy;
ось око Господнє на тих, хто боїться Його, хто наді́ю на милість Його поклада́є,
19 to deliver their souls from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
щоб рятувати життя їхнє від смерти, і щоб за час голоду їх оживляти!
20 Our soul waits on the Lord; for he is our helper and defender.
Душа наша наді́ю склада́є на Господа, — Він наша поміч і щит наш,
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, and we have hoped in his holy name.
бо Ним радується наше серце, бо на Ймення святеє Його ми надію кладемо́!
22 Let your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we have hoped in you.
Нехай Твоя милість, о Господи, буде на нас, коли поклада́ємо наді́ю на Тебе!
