Psalms 98

1 A psalm. Sing the Lord a new song, for he has done wonderful things: by his powerful right hand and his strong arm he has won the victory.

Psaume. Chantez à la gloire de l'Éternel un cantique nouveau! Car il a accompli des choses merveilleuses: Sa main droite et son bras saint lui ont donné la victoire.

2 The Lord has revealed his salvation to the nations, and shown them his goodness.

L'Éternel a fait connaître son salut; Il a manifesté sa justice aux yeux des nations.

3 He has not forgotten to show his trustworthy love and faithfulness to the descendants of Israel. Our God has made his salvation clear to the ends of the earth.

Il s'est souvenu de sa bonté et de sa fidélité Envers la maison d'Israël. Toutes les extrémités de la terre Ont vu l'oeuvre de salut de notre Dieu.

4 Everyone on earth, shout in triumph to the Lord; break out in joyful songs of praise!

Habitants de la terre, Faites tous monter vos acclamations jusqu'à l'Éternel; Éclatez en cris de joie, et psalmodiez!

5 Sing praises to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and melodious voices;

Chantez en l'honneur de l'Éternel avec la harpe, Avec la harpe et au son des cantiques!

6 with trumpets and the sound of the ram's horn sing in happiness before the Lord, the King.

Au son du cor et de la trompette. Poussez des acclamations devant le Roi, l'Éternel!

7 Let the sea and everything in it shout with praise, together with the earth and everything living in it.

Que la mer frémisse, avec tout ce qu'elle contient, Le monde, avec ceux qui l'habitent!

8 Let the rivers celebrate, let the hills join in the celebration

Que les fleuves battent des mains; Que toutes les montagnes éclatent en cris de joie,

9 before the Lord, for he is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world justly, and the nations fairly.

En présence de l'Éternel! Car il vient pour juger la terre: Il jugera le monde avec justice, Et les peuples avec équité.
