1 Chronicles 9
1 All of the people of Israel were recorded in the genealogies written down in the book of the kings of Israel. The people of Judah were taken away to captivity in Babylon because they had been unfaithful.
このようにすべてのイスラエルびとは系図によって数えられた。これらはイスラエルの列王紀にしるされている。ユダはその不信のゆえにバビロンに捕囚となった。
2 The first to return and reclaim their property and live in their towns were some Israelites, priests, Levities, and Temple servants.
その領地の町々に最初に住んだものはイスラエルびと、祭司、レビびとおよび宮に仕えるしもべたちであった。
3 Some from the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh returned to live in Jerusalem. They included:
またエルサレムにはユダの子孫、ベニヤミンの子孫およびエフライムとマナセの子孫が住んでいた。
4 Uthai son of Ammihud, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, a descendant of Perez, son of Judah.
すなわちユダの子ペレヅの子孫のうちではアミホデの子ウタイ。アミホデはオムリの子、オムリはイムリの子、イムリはバニの子である。
5 From the Shilonites: Asaiah (firstborn) and his sons.
シロびとのうちでは長子アサヤとそのほかの子たち。
6 From the Zerahites: Jeuel and relatives totaled 690.
ゼラの子孫のうちではユエルとその兄弟六百九十人。
7 From the Benjamites: Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Hodaviah, son of Hassenuah;
ベニヤミンの子孫のうちではハセヌアの子ホダビヤの子であるメシュラムの子サル、
8 Ibneiah son of Jeroham; Elah son of Uzzi, son of Micri; and Meshullam son of Shephatiah, son of Reuel, son of Ibnijah.
エロハムの子イブニヤ、ミクリの子であるウジの子エラおよびイブニヤの子リウエルの子であるシパテヤの子メシュラム、
9 All of them were family heads as recorded in their genealogies, and they totaled 956.
ならびに彼らの兄弟たちで、その系図によれば合わせて九百五十六人。これらの人々は皆その氏族の長であった。
10 From the priests: Jedaiah, Jehoiarib, Jakin,
祭司のうちではエダヤ、ヨアリブ、ヤキン、
11 Azariah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub. (Azariah was the head official in charge of the house of God.)
およびヒルキヤの子アザリヤ、ヒルキヤはメシュラムの子、メシュラムはザドクの子、ザドクはメラヨテの子、メラヨテはアヒトブの子である。アザリヤは神の宮のつかさである。
12 Also Adaiah son of Jeroham, son of Pashhur, son of Malkijah, and Maasai son of Adiel, son of Jahzerah, son of Meshullam, son of Meshillemith, son of Immer.
またエロハムの子アダヤ、エロハムはパシュルの子、パシュルはマルキヤの子である。またアデエルの子はマアセヤ、アデエルはヤゼラの子、ヤゼラはメシュラムの子、メシュラムはメシレモテの子、メシレモテはインメルの子である。
13 The priests, who were family heads, totaled 1,760. They were strong and capable men who served in the house of God.
そのほかに彼らの兄弟たちもあった。これらはその氏族の長で、合わせて一千七百六十人、みな神の宮の務をするのに、はなはだ力のある人々であった。
14 From the Levites: Shemaiah, son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, a descendant of Merari;
レビびとのうちではハシュブの子シマヤ、ハシュブはアズリカムの子、アズリカムはハシャビヤの子で、これらはメラリの子孫である。
15 Bakbakkar, Heresh, Galal, and Mattaniah, son of Mica, son of Zicri, son of Asaph;
またバクバッカル、ヘレシ、ガラル、およびアサフの子ジクリの子であるミカの子マッタニヤ、
16 Obadiah son of Shemaiah, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun; and Berekiah son of Asa, son of Elkanah, who used to live in the villages of the Netophathites.
ならびにエドトンの子ガラルの子であるシマヤの子オバデヤおよびエルカナの子であるアサの子ベレキヤ、エルカナはネトパびとの村里に住んだ者である。
17 The gatekeepers of the Temple: Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman and their relatives. Shallum was the chief gatekeeper.
門を守るものはシャルム、アックブ、タルモン、アヒマンおよびその兄弟たちで、シャルムはその長であった。
18 They had the responsibility up until now of looking after the King's Gate on the east side. They were the gatekeepers of the camps of the Levites.
彼は今日まで東の方にある王の門を守っている。これらはレビの子孫で営の門を守る者である。
19 Shallum was the son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah. He and his relatives, the Korahites, were responsible for guarding the entrances to the sanctuary in the same way their fathers had been responsible for guarding the entrance to the tented house of the Lord.
コラの子エビヤサフの子であるコレの子シャルムおよびその氏族の兄弟たちなどのコラびとは幕屋のもろもろの門を守る務をつかさどった。その先祖たちは主の営をつかさどり、その入口を守る者であった。
20 Previously Phinehas son of Eleazar had been the leader of the gatekeepers. The Lord was with him.
エレアザルの子ピネハスが、むかし彼らのつかさであった。主は彼とともにおられた。
21 Zechariah son of Meshelemiah was the gatekeeper at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
メシレミヤの子ゼカリヤは会見の幕屋の門を守る者であった。
22 In total there were 212 chosen to be gatekeepers at the entrances. They recorded their genealogies in their home towns. David and Samuel the prophet had selected their forefathers for their faithfulness.
これらは皆選ばれて門を守る者で、合わせて二百十二人あった。彼らはその村々で系図によって数えられた者で、ダビデと先見者サムエルが彼らを職に任じたのである。
23 They and their descendants were responsible for guarding the entrance to the house of the Lord, also when it was a tent.
こうして彼らとその子孫は監守人として、主の家である幕屋の家の門をつかさどった。
24 The gatekeepers were placed on four sides: east, west, north, and south.
門を守る者は東西南北の四方にいた。
25 Their relatives in their towns came every seven days at certain times to help them.
またその村々にいる兄弟たちは七日ごとに代り、来て彼らを助けた。
26 The four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, were given the responsibility of looking after the rooms and treasuries in the house of God.
門を守る者の長である四人のレビびとは神の家のもろもろの室と宝とをつかさどった。
27 They spent the night around the house of God because they had to guard it and they had the key to unlock it in the morning.
彼らは神の家を守る身であるから、そのまわりに宿った。そして朝ごとにこれを開くことをした。
28 Some of the gatekeepers were responsible for the articles that were used in worship services. They counted what was brought in and what was taken out.
そのうちに務の器をつかさどる者があった。彼らはその数を調べて携え入り、またその数を調べて携え出した。
29 Others were given the job of looking after the furniture and equipment used in the sanctuary, as well as the special flour, wine, olive oil, incense, and spices.
またそのほかの品、すべての聖なる器および麦粉、ぶどう酒、油、乳香、香料をつかさどる者があった。
30 (However, some of the priests were in charge of mixing the spices.)
また祭司のともがらのうちに香料を混ぜる者があった。
31 Mattithiah, a Levite, who was the firstborn son of Shallum the Korahite, was given the responsibility of baking the bread used in offerings.
コラびとシャルムの長子でレビびとのひとりであるマタテヤはせんべいを造る勤めをつかさどった。
32 Other Kohathites were in charge of preparing the bread set out on the table every Sabbath.
またコハテびとの子孫であるその兄弟たちのうちに供えのパンをつかさどって、安息日ごとにこれを整える者どもがあった。
33 The musicians, heads of Levite families, lived in the rooms in the Temple and were not required to carry out other duties because they were on duty day and night.
レビびとの氏族の長であるこれらの者は歌うたう者であって、宮のもろもろの室に住み、ほかの務はしなかった。彼らは日夜自分の務に従ったからである。
34 These were all heads of Levite families, leaders as recorded in their genealogies, and they lived in Jerusalem.
これらはレビびとの歴代の氏族の長であって、かしらたる人々であった。彼らはエルサレムに住んだ。
35 Jeiel was the father of Gibeon and he lived in Gibeon. His wife's name was Maacah.
ギベオンの父エヒエルはギベオンに住んでいた。その妻の名はマアカといった。
36 His firstborn son was Abdon, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
彼の長子はアブドン、次はツル、キシ、バアル、ネル、ナダブ、
37 Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah, and Mikloth.
ゲドル、アヒオ、ゼカリヤ、ミクロテである。
38 Mikloth was the father of Shimeam. They also lived near their relatives in Jerusalem.
ミクロテはシメアムを生んだ。彼らもその兄弟たちとともにエルサレムに住んで、その兄弟たちと向かいあっていた。
39 Ner was the father of Kish, Kish was the father of Saul, and Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malki-Shua, Abinadab, and Esh-Baal.
ネルはキシを生み、キシはサウルを生み、サウルはヨナタン、マルキシュア、アビナダブ、エシバアルを生んだ。
40 The son of Jonathan: Merib-Baal, who was the father of Micah.
ヨナタンの子はメリバアルで、メリバアルはミカを生んだ。
41 The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, and Ahaz.
ミカの子らはピトン、メレク、タレアおよびアハズである。
42 Ahaz was the father of Jadah, Jadah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri, and Zimri was the father of Moza.
アハズはヤラを生み、ヤラはアレメテ、アズマウテおよびジムリを生み、ジムリはモザを生み、
43 Moza was the father of Binea; Rephaiah was his son, Eleasah his son, and Azel his son.
モザはビネアを生んだ。ビネアの子はレパヤ、その子はエレアサ、その子はアゼルである。
44 Azel had six sons. Their names were: Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.
アゼルに六人の男の子があった。その名はアズリカム、ボケル、イシマエル、シャリヤ、オバデヤ、ハナン。これらはみなアゼルの子らであった。
