Psalms 145
1 David's [Psalm of] praise. I will exalt thee, my God, my king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
Louange de David. Je t’exalterai, mon Dieu, ô Roi! et je bénirai ton nom à toujours et à perpétuité.
2 Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
Je te bénirai chaque jour, et je louerai ton nom à toujours et à perpétuité.
3 The Lord is great, and greatly to be praised; and there is no end to his greatness.
L’Éternel est grand et fort digne de louange; et sa grandeur est insondable.
4 Generation after generation shall praise thy works, and tell of thy power.
Une génération célébrera tes œuvres auprès de l’autre génération, et elles raconteront tes actes puissants.
5 And they shall speak of the glorious majesty of thy holiness, and recount thy wonders.
Je parlerai de la magnificence glorieuse de ta majesté, et de tes actes merveilleux.
6 And they shall speak of the power of thy terrible [acts]; and recount thy greatness.
Et ils diront la force de tes actes terribles, et [moi], je déclarerai tes grands faits.
7 They shall utter the memory of the abundance of thy goodness, and shall exult in thy righteousness.
Ils feront jaillir la mémoire de ta grande bonté, et ils chanteront hautement ta justice.
8 The Lord is compassionate, and merciful; long suffering, and abundant in mercy.
L’Éternel est plein de grâce et miséricordieux, lent à la colère, et grand en bonté.
9 The Lord is good to those that wait [on him]; and his compassions are over all his works.
L’Éternel est bon envers tous, et ses compassions sont sur toutes ses œuvres.
10 Let all thy works, O Lord, give thanks to thee; and let thy saints bless thee.
Toutes tes œuvres te célébreront, ô Éternel! et tes saints te béniront;
11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy dominion;
Ils parleront de la gloire de ton royaume, et ils diront ta puissance,
12 to make known to the sons of men thy power, and the glorious majesty of thy kingdom.
Afin de faire connaître aux fils de l’homme ses actes puissants et la magnificence glorieuse de son royaume.
13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion [endures] through all generations. The Lord is faithful in his words, and holy in all his works.
Ton royaume est un royaume de tous les siècles, et ta domination est de toutes les générations.
14 The Lord supports all that are falling, and sets up all that are broken down.
L’Éternel soutient tous ceux qui tombent, et relève tous ceux qui sont courbés.
15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest [them] their food in due season.
Les yeux de tous s’attendent à toi, et tu leur donnes leur nourriture en son temps.
16 Thou openest thine hands, and fillest every living thing with pleasure.
Tu ouvres ta main, et tu rassasies à souhait tout ce qui a vie.
17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
L’Éternel est juste dans toutes ses voies, et bon dans toutes ses œuvres.
18 The Lord is near to all that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
L’Éternel est près de tous ceux qui l’invoquent, de tous ceux qui l’invoquent en vérité.
19 He will perform the desire of them that fear him: and he will hear their supplication, and save them.
Il accomplit le souhait de ceux qui le craignent: il entend leur cri, et les sauve.
20 The Lord preserves all that love him: but all sinners he will utterly destroy.
L’Éternel garde tous ceux qui l’aiment, et il extermine tous les méchants.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
Ma bouche dira la louange de l’Éternel; et que toute chair bénisse son saint nom, à toujours et à perpétuité.
