< ᎣᏍᏛ ᎧᏃᎮᏛ ᏣᏂ ᎤᏬᏪᎳᏅᎯ 8 >

1 ᏥᏌᏃ ᎤᎵᏩᏲᎢ ᎣᏓᎸ ᏬᎶᏒᎩ.
THEN Jesus went to the mount of Olives.
2 ᏑᎾᎴᏉᏃ ᏔᎵᏁ ᎤᏛᏅ-ᏗᎦᎳᏫᎢᏍᏗᏱ ᎤᎷᏨᎩ; ᎠᎴ ᏂᎦᏛ ᏴᏫ ᎥᎬᏩᎷᏤᎸᎩ; ᎤᏪᏅᏃ ᏑᏪᏲᏅᎩ.
But early in the morning he came again to the temple, and all the people came to him; and sitting down he taught them.
3 ᏗᏃᏪᎵᏍᎩᏃ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏂᏆᎵᏏ ᎬᏩᏘᏃᎮᎸᎩ ᎠᎨᏴ ᎠᏓᏲᏁᎲ ᎠᏥᏂᏴᏛ; ᎠᏰᎵᏃ ᎤᏂᎧᏅ,
Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to him a woman caught in adultery; and placing her in the midst,
4 ᎯᎠ ᏂᎬᏩᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏔᏕᏲᎲᏍᎩ, ᎯᎠ ᎠᎨᏴ ᎠᏓᏲᏁᎲ ᏕᎦᏅᎬᎢ ᎠᏥᏂᏴᎲᎩ.
they say unto him, Master, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act.
5 Ꭷ, ᎼᏏ ᎣᎩᏁᏤᎸᎩ ᏗᎧᎿᎭᏩᏛᏍᏗᏱ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᎾᏍᏗ ᏅᏯ ᏗᎨᎬᏂᏍᏙᏗᏱ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᏂᎯ ᎦᏙ ᎭᏗᎭ?
Now Moses in the law commanded, that such women should be stoned: therefore what sayest thou?
6 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ ᎠᏂᏌᏛᎥᏍᎬᎩ, ᎤᏄᎯᏍᏙᏗᏱᏉ ᎤᏂᏰᎸᏒᎩ. ᎠᏎᏃ ᏥᏌ ᎤᏗᏌᏓᏛᎩ, ᎦᏰᏌᏛᏃ ᎤᏩᏔᏅᎩ ᎤᏬᏪᎳᏅᎩ ᎦᏙᎯ.
But this they said, trying to entrap him, that they might have ground of accusation against him. But Jesus stooping down, with his finger wrote on the ground.
7 ᎠᏏᏉᏃ ᎠᏂᏱᎵᏒ ᎬᏩᏛᏛᎲᏍᎬ ᎤᏓᏥᏃᎯᏍᏔᏅᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎩᎶ ᎤᏓᏑᏰᏍᏗ ᎤᏍᎦᏅᏨᎯ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᎬᏱ ᏫᏓᏓᎴᏅᏓ ᏅᏯ ᏫᎬᏂᏍᏓ.
Now when they continued questioning him, raising himself up, he said to them, Let the person who is sinless among you, first cast a stone at her.
8 ᏔᎵᏁᏃ ᎤᏗᏌᏓᏛ, ᎦᏙᎯ ᎤᏬᏪᎳᏅᎩ.
And again stooping down, he wrote on the ground.
9 ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᎤᎾᏛᎦᏅ, ᎠᎴ ᏧᎾᏓᏅᏙ ᎬᏩᏄᎯᏍᏔᏅ, ᎤᏂᏄᎪᏨᎩ ᏌᏉ ᎤᏛᏂᏛ ᎤᏓᏂᎵᎨ ᏚᏓᎴᏅᏔᏅᎩ, ᎣᏂᏱ ᏫᎬᏩᏛᏅᎩ; ᏥᏌᏃ ᎤᏩᏒ ᏄᎵᏍᏔᏅᎩ, ᎠᎨᏴᏃ ᎠᏰᎵ ᎦᏙᎬᎩ.
But when they heard him, and felt the conviction of their conscience, they slunk away one by one, beginning from the elders to the last: so Jesus was left alone, with the woman standing in the midst.
10 ᏥᏌᏃ ᎤᏓᏥᏃᎯᏍᏔᏅ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᎨᏴᏉ ᎤᏩᏒ ᎤᎪᎲ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎯᎨᏴ, ᎭᏢ Ꮎ ᎨᏧᎯᏍᏗᏍᎩ? ᏝᏍᎪ ᎩᎶ ᏣᏍᎦᏅᏨᎢ ᏱᏕᎫᎪᏓ?
Then Jesus raising himself up, and seeing no person but the woman, said unto her, Woman, where are these thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏒᎩ; ᎥᏝ ᎩᎶ, ᏣᎬᏫᏳᎯ. ᏥᏌᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎥᏝ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎠᏴ ᏣᏍᎦᏅᏨ ᏱᏗᎫᎪᏗᎭ. ᏥᎮᎾ, ᎠᎴ ᏞᏍᏗ ᎢᎸᎯᏳ ᎿᎭᏉ ᏱᏣᏍᎦᏅᏤᏍᏗ.
She said, No man, Lord. Then said Jesus unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
12 ᎠᎴᏬ ᏥᏐ ᏚᏬᏁᏔᏅᎩ, ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎠᏴ ᎡᎶᎯ ᎢᎦ ᏥᏯᏘᏍᏓᏁᎯ; ᎩᎶ ᎠᎩᏍᏓᏩᏕᎨᏍᏗ ᎥᏝ ᎤᎵᏏᎬ ᏱᎦᏰᏙᎮᏍᏗ; ᎠᏛᏂᏗᏍᏙᏗᏍᎩᏂ ᎢᎦ ᎤᏤᎵᎦ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ.
Then spake Jesus again to them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
13 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎠᏂᏆᎵᏏ ᎯᎠ ᏅᎬᏩᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏨᏒᏉ ᎭᏓᏃᎮᎭ, ᎯᏃᎮᏍᎬ ᎥᏝ ᏳᏙᎯᏳᎭ.
The Pharisees said to him, Thou bearest witness of thyself; thy witness is not true.
14 ᏥᏌ ᎤᏁᏨᎩ, ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎠᏋᏒᏉ ᎾᏍᏉ ᏱᎦᏓᏃᎮᎭ, ᎠᏎ ᏥᏃᎮᏍᎬ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎭ; ᏥᎦᏔᎭᏰᏃ ᏗᏆᏓᎴᏅᎢ ᎠᎴ ᏫᏥᎦᏛᎢ. ᏂᎯᏍᎩᏂ ᎥᏝ ᏱᏥᎦᏔᎭ ᏗᏆᏓᎴᏅᎢ ᎠᎴ ᏫᏥᎦᏛᎢ.
Jesus answered and said to them, Though I do bear witness of myself, my witness is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I am going; but ye know not whence I come, nor whither I am going.
15 ᏂᎯ ᏕᏧᎪᏗᏍᎪ ᎤᏇᏓᎵᏉ ᏧᏬᎪᏙᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ; ᎠᏴ ᎥᏝ ᎩᎶ ᏱᏗᏥᏳᎪᏓᏁᎰᎢ.
Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
16 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎾᏍᏉ ᏱᏗᎫᎪᏗᎭ, ᏓᏇᎪᏔᏅ ᏑᏳᎪᏛ ᏱᎩ. ᎥᏝᏰᏃ ᎠᏋᏒᏉ ᏱᎩ, ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨᏰᏃ ᏅᏛᎩᏅᏏᏛ ᎣᎩᎾᎵᎪᎭ.
But though I should judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father who sent me.
17 ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎪᏪᎳ ᏗᏥᎧᎿᎭᏩᏛᏍᏗᏱ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᏂᏔᎵ ᎤᏂᏃᎮᎸᎯ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎨᏒᎢ.
Now even in your law it is written, that the testimony of two men is true.
18 ᎠᏴ ᎠᏋᏒ ᎦᏓᏃᎮᏍᎩ, ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨᏃ ᏅᏛᎩᏅᏏᏛ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎠᏴ ᎠᎩᏃᎮᎭ.
I am a witness for myself, and the Father who sent me beareth witness of me.
19 ᎿᎭᏉ ᎯᎠ ᏅᎬᏩᏪᏎᎸᎩ, ᎭᏢ ᏣᏙᏓ? ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎥᏝ ᎠᏴ ᏱᏍᎩᎦᏔᎭ, ᎠᎴ ᎥᏝ ᏰᏥᎦᏔᎭ ᎡᏙᏓ. ᎢᏳᏃ ᎠᏴ ᏱᏍᎩᎦᏔᎮᎢ, ᎾᏍᏉ ᏰᏥᎦᏔᎮ ᎡᏙᏓ.
Then said they to him, Where is thy father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also.
20 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏒᎩ ᏥᏌ ᎠᏕᎸ ᏗᏍᏆᏂᎪᏗᏱ, ᎾᎯᏳ ᏓᏕᏲᎲᏍᎬ ᎤᏛᎤ-ᏗᎦᎳᏫᎢᏍᏗᏱ; ᎠᎴ ᎥᏝ ᎩᎶ ᏳᏂᏴᎮᎢ, ᎥᏝᏰᏃ ᎠᏏ ᏳᏍᏆᎸᎡᎮᎢ.
These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no person apprehended him; for his hour was not yet come.
21 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏥᏌ ᏔᎵᏁ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏓᎦᏓᏅᏏ, ᏂᎯᏃ ᏍᎩᏲᎮᏍᏗ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᏎ ᎠᏍᎦᏂ ᎨᏒ ᏙᏓᏥᏲᎱᏏ, ᎠᎴ ᏫᏥᎦᏛ ᎥᏝ ᏫᏴᎨᏥᎷᎩ.
Then spake Jesus again to them, I am going away, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sin: whither I am going ye cannot come.
22 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ, ᏥᎪ ᎤᏩᏒ ᏛᏓᎵ? ᎯᎠ ᏥᏂᎦᏪᎭ; ᏫᏥᎦᏛ ᎥᏝ ᏫᏴᎨᏥᎷᎩ.
The Jews said therefore, Will he kill himself? because he said, Whither I go, ye cannot come.
23 ᎯᎠᏃ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏂᎯ ᎡᎳᏗ ᎢᏣᏓᎴᏅᎯ; ᎠᏴ ᎦᎸᎳᏗ ᏅᏛᏆᏓᎴᏅᎯ. ᏂᎯ ᎠᏂ ᎡᎶᎯ ᎢᏣᏓᎴᏅᎯ; ᎠᏴ ᎥᏝ ᎠᏂ ᎡᎶᎯ ᎠᏆᏓᎴᏅᎯ ᏱᎩ.
And he said to them, Ye are from those beneath; I am from those above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
24 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏨᏪᏏ; ᎠᏎ ᎨᏥᏍᎦᏂᏉ ᎨᏒ ᏙᏓᏥᏲᎱᏏ; ᎢᏳᏰᏃ ᏂᏦᎯᏳᎲᏍᎬᎾ ᎢᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎠᏴ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᏎ ᎨᏥᏍᎦᏂ ᎨᏒ ᏙᏓᏥᏲᎱᏏ.
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am, ye shall die in your sins.
25 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏅᎬᏩᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎦᎪᏂᎯ? ᏥᏌᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎾᏍᎩᏉ ᏥᏨᏲᏎᎰᎢ, ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎾᏍᎩᏉ.
They said, therefore to him, Who art thou? And Jesus said to them, Assuredly the same as I am telling you.
26 ᎤᏣᏘ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᎠᎩᎭ ᎢᏨᏲᏎᏗ, ᎠᎴ ᏗᏨᏳᎪᏓᏁᏗ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᏅᏛᎩᏅᏏᏛ ᏚᏳᎪᏛᎢ; ᎠᏴᏃ ᎡᎶᎯ ᏥᏃᎮᎮᎭ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏄᏍᏛ ᏥᏯᏛᎦᏁᎸᎢ.
I have many things to speak and to decide concerning you: but he that sent me is true; and the things which I have heard from him I speak to the world.
27 ᎥᏝ ᏳᏃᎵᏤ ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨ ᎦᏛᎬ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏕᎦᏬᏁᏗᏍᎬᎢ.
They knew not that he spake to them of the Father.
28 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏴᏫ ᎤᏪᏥ ᎡᏥᏌᎳᏓᏅᎭ, ᎿᎭᏉ ᏓᏣᏙᎴᎰᏏ ᎠᏴ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᏋᏒᏉ ᎠᏆᏓᏅᏖᏛ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᏂᏓᎩᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎲᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎡᏙᏓᏉᏍᎩᏂ ᎠᏇᏲᏅ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏥᏃᎮᏍᎬᎢ.
Then said Jesus to them, When ye shall have lifted up on high the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am, and of myself have I done nothing; but as the Father hath instructed me, so I speak.
29 ᏅᏛᎩᏅᏏᏛ ᎣᎩᎾᎵᎪᎭ; ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨ ᎥᏝ ᏯᏋᏕᏨ, ᏂᎪᎯᎸᏰᏃ ᏓᎩᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎰ ᎣᏍᏛ ᎤᏰᎸᏗ.
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; because I always do the things acceptable to him.
30 ᎠᏏᏉ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏂᎦᏪᏍᎬᎩ, ᎤᏂᏣᏛ ᎬᏬᎯᏳᏅᎩ.
As he spake these words, many believed on him.
31 ᎿᎭᏉ ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎬᏬᎯᏳᎲᏍᎩ; ᎢᏳᏃ ᏕᏥᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏎᏍᏗ ᎠᎩᏁᏨᎢ, ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᏍᎩᏍᏓᏩᏗᏙᎯ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ.
Then said Jesus to those Jews who believed on him, If ye abide in my word, assuredly ye are my disciples;
32 ᎠᎴ ᏓᏥᎦᏙᎥᏏ ᏚᏳᎪᏛᎢ, ᏚᏳᎪᏛᏃ ᏂᏕᏥᎾᏝᎥᎾ ᏅᏓᏨᏁᎵ.
and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33 ᎬᏩᏁᏤᎸ ᎯᎠ ᏂᎬᏩᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎠᏴ ᎡᏆᎭᎻ ᎤᏁᏢᏔᏅᏛ, ᎠᎴ ᎥᏝ ᎢᎸᎯᏳ ᎩᎶ ᏱᏙᎩᎾᏢᏃᎢ, ᎦᏙᏃ ᏂᏕᏥᎾᏝᎥᎾ ᏅᏓᏰᏨᏁᎵ, ᏣᏗᎭ?
They answered him, We are Abraham’s seed, and never were in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, That we shall be made free?
34 ᏥᏌ ᏚᏁᏤᎸ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏨᏪᏎᎭ; ᎩᎶ ᏣᏍᎦᏅᎪᎢ ᎠᏍᎦᏂ ᎤᎾᏝᎢ ᎨᏐᎢ.
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, That every one who committeth sin is the slave of sin.
35 ᎠᏥᎾᏝᎢᏃ ᎥᏝ ᎠᏓᏁᎸ ᏂᎪᎯᎸ ᎡᎯ ᏱᎨᏐᎢ; ᎠᎦᏅᎩᏍᎩᏂ ᏂᎪᎯᎸ ᎡᎰᎢ. (aiōn g165)
But the slave abideth not in the family for ever: but the son abideth for ever. (aiōn g165)
36 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎢᏳᏃ ᎠᎦᏅᎩ ᏂᏕᏥᎾᏝᎥᎾ ᏱᏂᏨᏁᎸ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᏒ ᏂᏕᏥᎾᏝᎥᎾ ᏱᎩ.
If the Son therefore make you free, ye will be truly free.
37 ᏥᎦᏔᎭ ᏂᎯ ᎡᏆᎭᎻ ᎤᏁᏢᏔᏅᏛ ᎨᏒᎢ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᎢᏣᏚᎵ ᏍᎩᎢᏍᏗᏱ, ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ ᏥᏁᎬ ᏕᏣᏓᏅᏛ ᏫᎾᏴᎯᎲᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ.
I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; yet ye seek to kill me, because my word has no place in you.
38 ᏄᏍᏛ ᎠᎩᎪᎲ ᎡᏙᏙᏱ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏥᏁᎪᎢ; ᏂᎯᏃ ᏄᏍᏛ ᎢᏥᎪᎲ ᎢᏥᏙᏙᏱ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏂᏣᏛᏁᎰᎢ.
I speak what I have seen with my Father: and ye do therefore what ye have seen with your father.
39 ᎤᏂᏁᏨ ᎯᎠ ᏅᎬᏩᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎡᏆᎭᎻ ᎣᎩᏙᏓ. ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎢᏳᏃ ᏂᎯ ᎡᏆᎭᎻ ᏧᏪᏥ ᏱᎩ, ᎡᏆᎭᎻ ᏧᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᏗ ᎨᏒ ᏱᏗᏥᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎭ.
They answered and said unto him, Our Father is Abraham. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were the children of Abraham, ye would have done the works of Abraham.
40 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎢᏣᏚᎵ ᏍᎩᎢᏍᏗᏱ ᎠᏴ ᏚᏳᎪᏛ ᎢᏨᏃᏁᎸᎯ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏥᏯᏛᎦᏁᎸᎯ ᎨᏒᎢ; ᎥᏝ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏱᎾᏛᏁᎮ ᎡᏆᎭᎻ.
But now ye seek to kill me, a man who hath told you the truth, which I have heard from God. Abraham did not so.
41 ᎢᏥᏙᏓ ᏧᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᏗ ᎨᏒ ᏕᏥᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎰᎢ. ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏅᎬᏩᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎥᏝ ᎤᏕᎵᏛ ᏗᏂᏏᏅᎯ ᎣᎩᎾᏄᎪᏨᎯ ᏱᎩ; ᏌᏉ ᎡᎭ ᎣᎩᏙᏓ-ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ.
Ye do the works of your father. They said unto him, We are not born of whoredom; we have one Father, even God.
42 ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎢᏳᏃ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎢᏥᏙᏓ ᏱᎩ, ᏍᎩᎨᏳᎢᏳ ᏱᎩ; ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯᏱᏰᏃ ᏗᏆᏓᎴᏅ ᎠᎩᎷᏥᎸ; ᎠᎴ ᎥᏝ ᎠᏋᏒᏉ ᎠᏆᏓᏅᏖᏛᏯᎩᎷᏥᎸ, ᏗᎩᏅᏒᏍᎩᏂ.
Then said Jesus unto them, If God was your Father, ye would have loved me: for I came out from God, and I am coming; neither indeed came I of myself, but he hath sent me.
43 ᎦᏙᏃ Ꮭ ᏱᏦᎵᎦ ᏥᏬᏂᏍᎬᎢ? ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎩᏂ ᏥᏁᎬ ᏰᎵ ᎨᏣᏛᎪᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ.
Wherefore do ye not understand my speech? because ye cannot hear my word.
44 ᎢᏥᏙᏓ ᎠᏍᎩᎾ ᏅᏓᏣᏓᎴᏅᎯ ᏂᎯ, ᎠᎴ ᎢᏥᏙᏓ ᎤᏲ ᏚᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎲ ᎢᏣᏛᏁᏗᏱ ᎢᏣᏚᎵᎭ. ᎾᏍᎩ ᏴᏫ ᏗᎯᎯ ᏂᎨᏐ ᏗᏓᎴᏂᏍᎬᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯ ᎨᏒ ᎥᏝ ᏱᏚᎧᎿᎭᏩᏛᏎᎢ, ᎥᏝᏰᏃ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯ ᎨᏒ ᏳᏪᎭ. ᎦᏰᎪᎩ ᎧᏁᎩ ᎤᏤᎵᎦᏉ ᎧᏁᎪᎢ; ᎦᏰᎪᎩᏰᏃ ᎾᏍᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᎦᏴᎵᎨ ᎦᏰᎪᎩ ᎨᏒᎢ.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will practise. He was a murderer from the beginning, and stood not fast in the truth, because truth was not in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh what is peculiarly his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 ᎠᏎᏃ ᏚᏳᎪᏛ ᏥᏁᎬ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ ᎥᏝ ᏱᏍᎩᏲᎢᏳᎲᏍᎦ.
But because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
46 ᎦᎪ ᎤᏓᏑᏯ ᎯᎠ ᏥᏂᏣᏛᏅ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᎢᎬᏩᏁᏗ ᎠᎩᏍᎦᏅᏨᎯ ᎨᏒᎢ? ᎢᏳᏃ ᏚᏳᎪᏛ ᏱᏥᏁᎦ, ᎦᏙᏃ Ꮭ ᏱᏍᎩᏲᎢᏳᎲᏍᎦ?
Which of you can convict me of sin? Now if I speak the truth, why do ye not believe me?
47 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏅᏓᏳᏓᎴᏅᎯ ᎨᏒ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᏛᎩᏍᎪ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎧᏁᎬᎢ; ᏂᎯ ᏂᏣᏛᎩᏍᎬᎾ ᏥᎩ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏅᏓᏣᏓᎴᏅᎯ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ.
He that is of God heareth the words of God: ye therefore do not hear him, because ye are not of God.
48 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎤᏂᏁᏨᎩ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏝᏍᎪ ᏚᏳᎪᏛ ᏲᏥᏁᎦ, ᏌᎺᎵᏱ ᎮᎯ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏍᎩᎾ ᏣᏯᎢ, ᏥᏨᏲᏎᎭ?
Then answered the Jews, and said to him, Do we not rightly affirm, that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?
49 ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎥᏝ ᎠᏍᎩᎾ ᏯᎩᏯᎠ, ᏥᎸᏉᏗᏉᏍᎩᏂ ᎡᏙᏓ; ᏂᎯᏃ ᎠᏴ ᎨᏍᎩᏐᏢᎢᏍᏗᎭ.
Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye dishonour me.
50 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎥᏝ ᏯᎩᏲᎭ ᎠᏋᏒ ᎥᎩᎸᏉᏗᏱ; ᎡᎭ ᎤᏲᎯ ᎠᎴ ᏗᎫᎪᏗᏍᎩ.
But I seek not my own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.
51 ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏨᏪᏎᎭ, ᎢᏳᏃ ᎩᎶ ᎠᏍᏆᏂᎪᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᏥᏁᎬᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎥᏝ ᎢᎸᎯᏳ ᎠᏲᎱᎯᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎤᎪᏩᏛᏗ ᏱᎨᏎᏍᏗ. (aiōn g165)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, If any man observe my saying, he shall never see death to all eternity. (aiōn g165)
52 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎯᎠ ᏅᎬᏩᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎿᎭᏉ ᎣᏣᏙᎴᎰᎯ ᎠᏍᎩᎾ ᏣᏯᎥᎢ. ᎡᏆᎭᎻ ᎤᏲᎱᏒ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᎾᏙᎴᎰᏍᎩ, ᏂᎯᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏂᎯᏪᎭ; ᎢᏳᏃ ᎩᎶ ᎠᏍᏆᏂᎪᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᏥᏁᎬᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎥᏝ ᎢᎸᎯᏳ ᎠᏲᎱᎯᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏙᎴᎰᏍᏗ ᏱᎨᏎᏍᏗ. (aiōn g165)
Then said the Jews to him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If any man observe my word, he shall never taste of death to eternity. (aiōn g165)
53 ᏥᎪ ᏂᎯ ᎤᏟ ᎡᏣᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᎡᏍᎦᏉ ᎡᏆᎭᎻ ᎣᎩᏙᏓ, ᏧᏲᎱᏒ? ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎠᎾᏙᎴᎰᏍᎩ ᏚᏂᏲᎱᏒ. ᎦᎪ ᏂᎯ ᎭᏤᎸᏍᎦ?
Art thou greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?
54 ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎢᏳᏃ ᎠᏋᏒ ᏱᎦᏓᎸᏉᏗᎭ, ᎥᎩᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᎠᏎᏉᏉ ᏱᎩ; ᎡᏙᏓᏍᎩᏂ ᎠᎩᎸᏉᏗᏍᎩ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᏴ ᎣᎦᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏥᏣᏗᎭ.
Jesus answered, If I assume glory to myself, my glory is nothing: it is the Father who glorifies me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:
55 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎥᏝ ᏰᏥᎦᏔᎭ, ᎠᏴᏍᎩᏂ ᏥᎦᏔᎭ; ᎢᏳᏃ ᎥᏝ ᏱᏥᎦᏔᎭ ᏱᏚᏗᎭ ᏥᏰᎪᎩᏉ ᏱᎩ, ᏂᎯ ᏥᏂᏣᏍᏗ ᎾᏍᎩᏯᎢ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᏥᎦᏔᎭ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏁᏨ ᎠᎩᏍᏆᏂᎪᏗ.
yet have ye not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, that I know him not, I should be like you, a liar: but I know him, and observe his word.
56 ᎢᏥᏙᏓ ᎡᏆᎭᎻ ᎠᎵᎮᎵᏍᏗ ᎤᏚᎩ ᎤᏩᏒ ᎤᎪᏩᏛᏗᏱ ᎪᎯ ᎨᏒ ᎠᏴ ᎨᎥᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᎪᎲᎩ ᎠᎴ ᎣᏏᏳ ᎤᏓᏅᏓᏛᎩ.
Your father Abraham exulted for joy that he should see this day of mine: and saw it, and rejoiced.
57 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎯᎠ ᏅᎬᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎥᏝ ᎠᏏ ᎯᏍᎩᏍᎪᎯ ᎢᏣᏕᏘᏴᏛ ᏱᎩ; ᏥᏌᏃ ᎯᎪᎥᎯ ᎢᎩ ᎡᏆᎭᎻ?
Then said the Jews unto him, Thou hast not yet reached the age of fifty, and hast thou seen Abraham?
58 ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏨᏪᏎᎭ; ᎠᏏᏉ ᎡᏆᎭᎻ ᏁᎲᎾ ᏥᎨᏒᎩ, ᎠᏴ ᏂᎨᎣᎢ.
Jesus said unto them, Before Abraham had a being, I Am.
59 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏅᏯ ᏚᏂᎩᏒᎩ, ᏗᎬᏩᏂᏍᏙᏗ, ᎠᏎᏃ ᏥᏌ ᎤᏗᏍᎦᎳᏅᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏛᏅ-ᏗᎦᎳᏫᎢᏍᏗᏱ ᎤᏄᎪᏨᎩ, ᎠᏰᎵ ᎠᏂᏙᎾᎥ ᎤᎦᏛᎴᏒᏍᏔᏅᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᎶᏐᏅᎩ.
Then took they up stones to hurl at him: but Jesus was hid, and went out of the temple, passing through the midst of them, and so went away.
